  1. If God can speak to the pastor, He can speak to me too or guide me through it which was what He did and I'm grateful eternally for.

Pastor no go live with the couple o

    1. Exactly oh. The pastor is just there to guide and NOT to pick a partner for you.

  2. I don't think it's a good idea. You're the one getting married, not the Pastor. God speaks to the Pastor, He can speak to you.

  3. I will only choose my spouse on my discretion with the backing of the Holy spirit. I'm trusting God for his guidance.

  4. The Pastor can or may want to help find out the spiritual aspect of that marriage , but las las the physical goes a long way to determine if both can survive or last thr' in that marriage. Physical here we talk of the attributes of both, likes n dislike, compatibility etc.
So No, Pastor Cannot have the final say o

  5. Finding a wife in the Church Atimes doesn't augur well cos so many things can be hidden just to appear Saintly in nature.
My advise is before seeking for a spouse, make Sure you understand each others.likes and dislikes, know each other background, check if you share same cultural believe cos most suffers from some barbaric cultural believe and pray to God for approval.

    Thanks πŸ™

    1. It doesn’t augur well because both the Ladies and the Men are “Selling Characters”..

Acting in a certain way because they know that’s what you are looking out for;and what you need in a wife or husband;so when they finally win the Jackpot, the “character selling” stops and you see the actual person for whom he or she is..

Best place to meet a man or woman is on a neutral ground;not the church..

  6. I am team know God yourself and know how He talks to you, any other words coming from a third party should be a confirmation of what God has discussed with me.
My Aunt allowed her pastor to wast more than 10 years of her life because he wanted her to remain in his church as per faithful and dedicated worker, she got another message that the union is not meant to be which she did not disclose to anyone until some weeks we had to pack her things out.
The man just used human knowledge to matchmake them for ulterior motive, she saw shege in that marriage.

  7. No pastor can choose a spouse for me. If you meet my requirements, I go straight.
I will not settle for just anybody cos daddy or mummy in the lord said so. Person go come chop sand cos they think pastor has the final say?
I remember when my cousin was about getting married, they invited their pastor. Pastor told my cousin that the guy she wants to marry is not her husband and that if she goes ahead with it, their marriage will not last. My cousin being a strong headed babe who knows what she wants, rebuked the pastor and went ahead to marry her hubby.
They have been married now for 15 years with two kids and are doing very okay.
Her hubby will do anything for her, he practically worships her.
I nor dey do that daddy and mummy in the lord business 🚢🏿‍♀️

  8. Pastor sabi wetin i dey like?
Do we have the same taste in women?
Is he the one to live with the wife?

The “god” that will speak to a pastor on my behalf is not serious yet.

If “God” can speak to a pastor, then why not Me?

If you are the “My Pastor said” or “My Reverend said” at every point in time;it’s already a red flag for me..

I don’t believe God prioritises individuals he shows himself to over another;cos I believe if you live right, know God for yourself and live according to his commandments;everything will blend and you can communicate with him as “Father and Child”..

Same way a pastor communicates with God;you can too..
Nobody is too special for that!

    1. Oil dey your head. Why would anyone be religious to the extent of worshipping their pastors? The way some people idolise their pastor could be so scary. They act like they have submitted their brain as offering in church. You could ask them "how water taste" and they will go on and on about how their pastor described the water. At the end labelling it satanic. So annoying.

  10. The one wey pastor advice in 2018, her marriage Don pack up and she has been blaming the Pastor for leading her into a big mess called marriage. The husband was a very slow and taciturn human but his wickedness was on another level.
He even refused to come and collect bride price. The case dey CC now just that I heard no idea Customary court go through long process too. It is well. I am just glad that she is doing very well for herself now. But she can't stop blaming her pastor lol.

  11. Why would you allow your Pastor to dictate the kind of person you get married to? How can another person determine your happiness?

Allowing your Pastor to have a say in your choice of a life partner is laughable, as it is ultimately your happiness that should be the driving force behind such a decision.

Personal compatibility and shared values are vital factors in a successful marriage, and while seeking guidance from trusted individuals (Parents, guardians, mentors, God-parents, Pastors, etc) can be beneficial, it is crucial to remember that only you can truly determine what brings you joy and fulfilment in life.

She said my husband is not on the list, little me went home and wailed my eyes out. I loved my bobo like kilode well I wrote all those chikers so the list will be long. 13. Some pastors went into the business because of bad economy .They have worse problems that their congregation. They just need to learn how to act well or take an acting class. It is sad that some gullible ones believe all the abracadabra.

  16. Let the holy spirit guide you. Once you find someone. Commit him or her to God in prayers asking for directions and he will surely lead you if he/her is the right one for you.

  19. Una head correct well well.

Indeed, knowing God, believing in God, staying away from sin and completely surrendering yourself to him is a good place to start. Nobody will tell you when God truly comes to you and reveals himself to you. That is where the relationship begins. And the Holy Spirit will reveal things to you in a way you have never experienced.
It is good to know God o! In fact it is sweet to know God and have an intimate relationship with him.

I like to talk about Matt 27:51 - when after the death of Jesus, the curtain in the temple was ripped apart.
That curtain separated the congregation/people from the holy sanctuary where God is. Only the high priest can go into the holy sanctuary to pray on behalf of the people, and if someone who is not a priest tries it, the die instantly. But when Jesus died, this curtain was ripped apart and it signifies God opening himself to us, removing any barrier that existed before - giving us full and free access to him!! We do not have to go through any human to gain direct access to God. You pray, and God hears you. You ask and he gives. The Holy Spirit dwells with you.

  21. It depends on the individual(personality). There are different category of people when it comes to choosing a partner from the many options they have.

There are people who don't need someone to tell them who is suitable for them because they are phycologicaly mature to know who is best for them.

Some people, they can never make a choice on their own. They must have a respected or many respected persons make the choice for them. No matter how hard they try to make a choice on their own, they can never get it right. They don't believe that they can make a right choice either. They can never get satisfied if you tell them 'do whatever your mind tells you' It's just in their nature. Unless there are no different options to choose from.

There are some pastors who are highly gifted in councelling. They are mature in thinking. They are not the type that will advice you to follow a person because of financial benefits. These kind of person can see far with their mind even if they don't see it in vissions. If such pastors are close to you and they call you to ask about the men or women in your life (as per familiarity), when they ask you to describe them one by one like; 'tell me about the one that stays in Lagos', and you'll be like, he is always calling but doesn't send money, he always sounds furious whenever I don't pick the call immediately, the one in Abuja calls often, he doesn't send money too but he doesn't get angry at me if I answer his phone call late. The one that stays abroad wants to marry me just after three months of meeting him but he said I will stay back in Nigeria because ... The others one in the same town with me wants marriage in no distant time. He is wealthy,
and his parents are very happy that I agreed to marry their son. We just met 4months ago and he wants to go see my people. He often sends money to me and I think I like him more... Then the pastor goes ahead to ask you what he does for a living and your response will be "I don't know" whereas this this one also has alot of cockroach in his cupboard but wants to rush marriage within a short space of time so you won't discover his baggages.

The one that stays in Enugu, we have been dating for four years. He doesn't have a good job, he sends little money that can't amount to anything to me. After narrating all that to him he'll know the best one to choose for you because from such explanation, the person may end up making a choice out of greed. Especially when the suitor is perceived to change the family history of poverty. Not all pastors can give honest advise in such circumference. Some may give the wrong advice because they believe you'll be tipping them from time to time or maybe they have special interest on the one they advice you not to marry.

Some pastors are also real vissioners. They have the ability to see the secret of the people you intend to make choice from. So if you trust/believe your pastor in that aspect then you can obey whatever he tells you.

Some people don't need a pastor to tell them whom to marry because the have the gift of seeing and they strongly believe in their gift whereas some have that same gift but they will foolishly believe an opinion given by the pastor that is contrary to what they saw in their dreams. I know some dreams are fake but let's try to know our dream patterns
