DIARY OF A PREGNANT MOM
I am finally counting down in single digits and not double anymore. I am excited and happy because it's starting to feel like forever.
I know from experience that this period will start to feel like the longest ever.
I walk like a duck now and my kids mimick me, they keep asking when the baby is coming and I try to tell them it will still take a while.
I am currently doing the basics like packing my hospital bag etc. I am also keeping my fingers crossed that this new baby will make use of the baby cot because none of my previous babies did instead the baby cot has been our general laundry basket.
I hope it's different this time around.

I think you should get a new baby cot and not the one you have been using for laundry since......Not good for baby to sleep in anymore abeg...or how is the cot?
Congrats on the countdown

  3. Ndigbo,

I implore you all to please think home. Aku luo uno biko nu. I'm seeing all that's happening in Lagos at the Alaba international market and my heart bleed. I weep for my brothers over this unfortunate turn of event. What was your crime? Because a tribal man from your place upset the status quo and won an election in Lagos state and Nigeria as a whole and as such, you're now paying for it this way.

I saw men crying as goods worth millions were been destroyed.

Brothers, haven't you suffered enough trying to love and believe in the Nigerian Unity? You're been displaced in the guise of demolition and the land sold to the Chinese. They want you guys to operate and do business under the mercy of the Chinese if at all they will still allocate any shop back to you people. Remember, it was few weeks ago that the Lagos State House of Assembly speaker on his speech hinted on the proposed bill to reverse and revoke business/lands ownership been occupied by non indigenes.

    What does that tells you?

Once that bill scale through, they will demolish your houses and business places and by so doing, your properties have been revoked. They want to hand them over to the indigenes but so funny, these people doing all these are not even true Lagosians.

Pls brothers, if it's possible and if you can, make an alternative businesses back home you can fall back on when you'll finally be displaced in Lagos and other part of northern Nigeria so you don't lose all there is to life and living.

Remember how the pogrom started and if you're a good student of history, you wouldn't want to be caught unaware anymore.

I'm not asking you to come back home right away or relocate immediately. I am pleading you relocate your mega businesses back home while you still operate wherever you are. Your headquarter should be located back home where you can always fall back at old age or even in the case of any eventuality. This is the best advice I can give to you my brothers.

If you doubt this, ask Innoson Motors our brother how many occasions he has turned down offers of relocating his motor plant to Kaduna by the northern government. You think he's not wise or know what he's doing to choose Nnewi his home for a maga business as such when there were lands offered to him freely in Abuja and Kaduna.

Stop developing places you will be chased away tomorrow for goodness sake😡😡😡

You can build another international markets at Aba, Onitsha, Nnewi, Abakiliki, Delta, Asaba, Enugu, Owerri, Port Harcourt and even Orlu.

A stitch in time saves nine.

    8. Teejay no one will just wake up to go demolish buildings without giving the owners notice, these notices would have been served months and even in most cases years before the actual demolition.
You think your brothers do not know they can set up businesses in their states? They choose lagos because somehow they have more to gain by being there rather than back in the East.
If una wan Park and go, na una sabi, its up to you.
I hope you are planning to move out of port Harcourt very soon back to your state too? You can't just be encouraging people without towing the same path.

    12. When the cable news went to Alaba international market, they met with traders and below were their response. You can even Google it on your own.

''I do not know what to say. In fact, I am short of words because in this kind of situation, even if they wanted to demolish the buildings, they should have at least given us two months so that we can gather ourselves and get another shop,” Ezenwa said.

“It was just a few weeks ago that they gave us notice to park out of our shops. Now, everybody is scattered. Coming out to the market right now is just for fancy. I have no plans yet. It is not fair.”

“I was in the market seven years ago and I did not hear about it (the quit notice).”

On his part, John Nebonta, another affected shop owner, claimed the traders were served a notice on June 1.

Nebonta also noted that he had been doing business in the market since 2016 and “there was no notice of such.

They (LASBCA) gave us a 7-day ultimatum on June 1, 2023. After one week, the market leadership taxed each shop N70,000. I paid. We went to Alausa to report to the authorities,” Nebonta said.

They said they would give us state government accounts to pay the fee, and that we should pay in instalments; not knowing they had an ulterior motive. So we contributed N70,000 each and we were able to raise about N6,022,942 on Thursday last week.”

Speaking further, Nebonta said there are rumours that private developers intend to use the land where the shops were demolished for a new trade complex named “New Alaba”.

“The problem started when some people came to develop that place. They even brought a catalogue to that effect. They called it the new Alaba, and the prices of shops were on the catalogue. They even came with forms for people to buy stores in the plaza to be built behind us,” he said.

Speaking to TheCable, Udenkwo Nnamdi, first vice-chairman, Fancy and Furniture Dealers Association, Ojo Alaba market, said his members did not bargain for a demolition.

“All these tenants are paying tenement rate; they are paying an allocation to the local government. So, if it is an illegal structure, the local government would not have been collecting such fees from us,” he said.

During a press briefing on Tuesday, Mbonu Geoffrey, president-general of the Alaba International Amalgamated Association, said he is not aware of any plot by some developers to demolish the structures.

In the notice sent to us, 2016 was not mentioned. If they gave us notice in 2016, Who did they give it to? Who did they serve it to? What stopped them from indicating that they had given us notice since 2016?

“One thing is sure, you cannot bring down my building and take over my land. There must be a process. We are watching to see if these buildings being pulled down by an agency is based on the condition of the buildings.

“So, what about the land? If there is any project that the developer has come to put in Alaba that makes them take over our land, we will know.”

    16. Anon 19:14, it wasn't pulled down yesterday but on Sunday when no one was in the market to remove their goods.

To you was two weeks or three exhaustible to pull down their market?/

As a tenant would you applaud landlord for ejecting you on two weeks or three weeks after serving you a notice of 7 days? Let's be realistic here and honest as well..

Okay, if the building were not good anymore, what happened to the lands owned by these people? Do you take it as well from them?

Didn't you read it was the council they paid to and not some group of people you're trying to paint it.

Pls be objective if you're gonna engage me on a subject matter next time. I'm done with you, for I have seen the bias in your rejoinder.

I smiled and narrated how I battled so hard trying to walk up to her and expressed myself to her.

She asked again, what gave me the courage and I responded that at first, I was afraid she was gonna turn me down seeing how beautiful she is and more also I was dressing so casual with slippers on.

I finally summoned the courage and shot at it. I didn't say much but only requested that I can give her a good treat the next day being Sunday after the whole election stress. She smiled and that's how it began and here we are today.

Dangote is now the face of the subsidy the cabals want to use in stealing your money. Don't forget, Dangote is not an individual thing. He's a front to criminal politicians and the reason every government works with him. It will shock you to know the people that are involve in Dangote business by shares.

Point of correction, Dangote's other businesses didn't thrive such as Dansa juice, indomie, Sugar, salt etc cos he wasn't given monopoly of it. He did well in cement cos he connived and monopolised it through the government effort.

I mean there's really no background story to the beef between the co wives, a lot of bitterness and rivalry, but nothing gives context to it in the story. Then the humour, not exactly Rob cracking in my opinion too, plot was a bit disjointed. Overall, it was a nice movie.

    Good afternoon everybody!

So tomatoes and pepper has finally become GOLD and not economical to make stew and the alternative is now Carrot stew which that one sef has become expensive.

However there is one vegetable that you may be overlooking which can serve as an alternative and it is very cheap..You wanna guess?

It is the WHITE GARDEN EGG or AUBERGINE. Yes you can use this to prepare your next stew; it is cheap, economical and very versatile as well.

    - Purchase your garden eggs, steam them till they are soft.
-Then peel out the outer part of the garden eggs for the soft pulp
    - Blend along with your fresh pepper (don't make it to smooth or you can blend to your preference)
-Heat your cooking oil, add your blended garden eggs mix and add your salt, seasoning, ground crayfish (optional)
    - Add your preferred protein

You can enjoy this with white rice, yam, eba, fufu, semovita. Try it and thank me later 😁😁

    2. Game mistress has 17 replies, including herself replying.
While zaram has 16 replies with single reply by her.
Game mistress cheated with plenty replies by herself to pass Zaram .

The winner is Zaram her replies were genuine not because of the reward.

      Delete
    3. Shyla, so what makes zarm the winner when game had the highest number of replies? Whether she replied herself multiple times or not, she still fucking won

      Delete
    4. Dear mz Shooter, please let's be honest with ourselves, the lady Game mistress even emphasized that she wanted to winner, thereby making miss Aboki(no vex that I mentioned your name) to add more comments for her to win and she replying twice to add to number of her replies. I felt that was cheating and you Shooter hates injustice.
Zaram only replied the troll that said she did it for the money with her long narrative. That was all. She didn't manipulate anyone.
Finally, let's not talk of the fake anonymous replies with similar laughing emoji thrice under Game Mistress replies. Lol. Any ways the both parties had anonymous replies.
Why zaram is the winner is simple, if you remove the twice replies of Game mistress and the support comment miss Aboki wrote the second time to increase her chances of Game mistress winning, then her total comments are 14.
While if you excludes zaram single reply to her comments her total number of replies is 15.
That makes her a winner. My own opinion.
Let justice be done. Note I'm not zaram fan nor Game Mistress. I'm only been honest without sentiments and I hate cheating.
      Stella will decide.
      Good night lovely shooter gyal.
