  3. The greatest problem in this country is not corruption, neither is it Boko Haram, unknown gunmen or any other thing you can think of.

The greatest problem is DISUNITY. This is the only reason the country is not moving forward, and until this issue is addressed, there is little or nothing anybody can do to restore the situation.

When I was small, I read a story in my elementary school which I'm convinced many of us read too.
A certain family was in disarray, they fought themselves and sometimes the enemies used the opportunity to penetrate and inflict pains on them cause their walls of unity is broken.

One day, their dad gathered all of them and gave each a broom stick, he instructed them to break the stick and each broke the stick effortlessly. Afterwards, he gathered some broomsticks together and gave them to break it, none of them was able to break the bunch of broomsticks. That's the power of unity.

Tuface in one of his famous songs quoted, "Individuality cannot make us tall, na community naim make us tall, secret society naim break us all"

Hausas fighting Igbos, igbos fighting Yorubas, Yorubas fighting Igbos etc, this will lead us no where.

Support a real Igbo man and give him chance to become president, you will see massive transformation, not because an Igbo man is wise or better but because it will bring equality, equity and fairness which will translate to UNITY and PROGRESS.

    1. What breed disunity in the first place? My landlord an Igbo man speaks the major languages and Ibibio. He is in his seventies, those were the good days when religion and tribe were not weaponized, today nigeria has become so polarized, and i think marginalization and nepotism is at the root of it. We tackle that, then our nation is on the road to recovery

      Delete
    2. Thank you anon 9:26
The main issue is marginalization and nepotism and Buharis govt fueled that thing by making some people feel they were better than others cus they had the juiciest positions, then those who were being marginalized stood up to fight against the oppression.

Now everyone realized being the president will favor their own person and they turned it into a tribal war, the politicians took advantage of it.

At the end of the day everyone has the same red blood flowing through their veins and would all end up 6ft under the ground.

If we look back to obasanjos time or even yaradua… we all felt the “one Nigeria” in our voices and celebrations.
      I really do miss that

  4. SHARING OUR LIVES

'Keep on encouraging each other.' Hebrews 10:24 CEV

Robert Putman made a staggering statement: 'As a rough rule of thumb, if you belong to no groups but you decide to join one, you cut your risk of dying over the next year in half.' It's hard to imagine anyone disinterested in reducing their risk of dying by 50 per cent.

One of the characteristics of the early church was their faithfulness to connectedness, because they knew connectedness doesn't merely happen. They met together daily. They ate together. Over time, however, that happened less. So the writer of Hebrews said: 'Let us consider how we may spur one another on towards love and good deeds, not giving up meeting together, as some are in the habit of doing, but encouraging one another' (vv. 24-25 NIV).

One author puts it this way: 'In sports, the more an athlete needs encouragement from the fans, the less likely he or she is to get it. Rarely do fans of a losing team think when a slumping player comes up to bat, "Let's consider how we can spur him on." Too often, people who need cheers the most get them the least. Every day, everyone you know faces life with eternity on the line, and life has a way of beating people down. Every life needs a cheering section. Every life needs a shoulder to lean on once in a while. Every life needs a prayer to lift them up before God. Every life needs a hugger to wrap some arms around them sometimes. Every life needs to hear a voice saying, "Don't give up."'

  14. Yesterday, I left the site very late at night. I think I will say it was almost past 10pm. We need to finish this work and progress onto another at most Saturday. In order to achieve that deadline, we began working both day & night with halogen bulbs at night hours.

I usually don't sleep at the work site. No matter the time, I will always go home. That's the only place I find it convenient to sleep.

Every effort booking a ride wasn't successful. So I decided to take a tricycle to Air force junction where I will board another vehicle going my destination.

At Air force junction, I waved at taxis passing by but they were all filled with passengers. I started trekking a little to get closer to the bus stop when I noticed a wrong movement from a guy walking behind me.

He asked me, ''na Rumuola you dey go?''

I didn't respond to him. A whole Port Harcourt born and brought up go loose guard? No naaa.

I kept walking and when he saw I wasn't responding, the voice changed inorder to frighten me. ''No be you I dey talk to?'' He yelled at me. He repeated that question thrice as he tried walking close to me.

Now I had increased the velocity of my movement😁😁😁

Another guy started walking towards me from the front. Immediately my instinct suspected they could be together. So I played a fast one. Instead of going forward, I dived sideway immediately by crossing the express road that has this big pavement. On getting to the pavement, I jumped like one who had participated in a long jump competition. The criminal who was coming in front attempted jumping as well, as he chased me but fell on the road hitting his head on the coal tar. The one who was at my back that was talking to me on seeing that his partner in crime has fallen, now withdrew himself.

I kept moving fast and overheard him telling the one that fell down, ''O boy you fuck up. Why you do him code you.''

I guess the plan was that, the one coming at my front will enclose me by grabbling my two hands gummed to my body while the idiot yelling at me will ransack my pockets.

Not too long I got a cab and we zoomed off. When I explained to the driver what happened some minutes ago, he said that's what they do at that axis within that time.

God alone is my protector and my strong shield.

    Lesson learnt.

    Good Morning Guys.

  18. Reno Omokri compares the West and Nigeria

Almost everything you see in the West is film trick. The lovely houses you see are bought on mortgage. You must work like a donkey to make the monthly payments. You miss three payments, and the bank repossesses your home. Ditto for that luxury car. It will surprise you to note that Nigerians travel outside Nigeria far more than Americans travel outside America. Most Americans can't simply afford it. They have got house payments, car loans, and even the furniture in their homes are bought on credit. And God forbid that the value of your home drops, that is your own business. That is not the bank's business or responsibility. You are OYO! And you are still liable to the bank for the price at which you bought it. And believe me, that can demoralise you faster than NEPA taking power, or being stuck in Lagos go-slow. Life is not as easy as you think it is in the West. The happiness you have in Africa is scarce in the West. Please don't take it for granted! The West just knows how to photoshop life so well that you think it is heaven. But japa there, and you will soon find yourselves working to maintain a lifestyle that can vanish in the twinkling of an eye if you don't run the rat race.

      Who are you asking?
I just reposted what he had to say that doubles as his truth too

      Delete
  19. He continues to talk more

Nobody is saying do not japa. But what I am saying is that before you do, you should count the cost in as cold and calculating a manner as you can. Because it is literally a jungle out there.

In Nigeria, you can just turn up at your friend or family's house uninvited for a visit. You can even turn up uninvited to stay with your family. You can't try that abroad. Your brother may call the cops on you. They are very individualistic and have firm boundaries. It may take a village to raise a child in Africa, but in Europe and America, children often have to raise themselves because both parents work, and weekends are spent at Mcdonald's cinemas, football games, or museums.

And since children are not taught to appreciate family bonds, parents grow old and are dumped in an old peoples home, so their children can live their lives without the inconvenience of caring for them.

Family and communal life are treasured in Africa. But it is not encouraged in Europe and America. Many children do not even know their cousins. A cousin in the West can be defined as a stranger you see, if at all, at weddings. And neighbours can die in their homes and be undetected for weeks.

Of course, your relatives abroad will want you to think they have it better than you. Unrefined human nature is focused on competition. You have to be enlightened to have a mindset directed to cooperation. But life in the West is not a life for the faint-hearted.

For the most part, young people in the West have low regard for your age. And if you don't purposely train your children to have respect for their elders, they will turn out like the kids they relate with. Yes, their awareness levels are very high, as is their IQ. But their EQ can be very low. Their phonetics is on point, but their human relations is, well, pointless!

And if you are the type that looks down on your culture and language, you WILL produce self loathing children abroad, who automatically look down on any African with an accent. Their disdain grows when the African speaks their native language and wears his or her cultural wears. In hating that image, they are cluelessly unaware that they are loathing themselves.

Disneyland is often touted as the happiest place on Earth. But that is not exactly true. It is the most exciting place on Earth, and it gets you carried away as you are overwhelmed by floods of pleasant memories and reminiscences that connect with various stages of your carefree childhood. But as exciting as it is, it is not as happy as Africa.

Think of parties in Nigeria. Of when you went to your hometown and were treated as special guests and showered with unconditional love. Think of visiting relatives and how they literally killed the fattened chicken or goat just to welcome you. Remember how you gathered around newspaper vendors as a member of free reader's association. Cast your mind back to how you used to run to the door or gate shouting 'Daddy oyoyo'. Let the rivalry between Chief Commander Ebenezer Obey and King Sunny Ade on the one hand, and that between Alhaji Agba (Sikiru Ayinde Barrister) and Ayinla Kollington, bring back memories of all the Fuji ropopo you danced with fellow neighbourhood teenagers. Recall how your Muslim neighbours brought Ileya food for you, a Christian.

Life in Nigeria was sweet. It is still a delight. Life in Africa is still sweet. Take it from me. There is absolutely no part of Africa I have not been to.

The Airforce should debunk his fake claims of protecting some part of the country with his imaginary militia.

The Nigerian police should hold him in their max-security felicities for the possession of heavy firearms being a civilian.

The DSS and alike should roll back their investigation back to the days when Asari Dokubo was recruiting Mujahadeen gorillas in this country.

The NTA network news should flashback all those news items that contained Asari's terror activities which still seem to be running.

  37. 1. You contract someone for a job and they do it satisfactorily. You collect their account details and it's been over a month and you still haven't sent their money, yet, you and your family are eating 5 trapezium meals, fueling car and gen and going to the cinemas. Fear God.

    2. You gave someone 15k employment at your job or office but have now seized the opportunity to turn the mother and her 3 children to your personal labourers at home and everywhere with empty promises of future help instead of encouraging them to go and learn skills that will help their future. In fact, you hope they don't amount to anything so they can serve your children after you. Fear God.

    3. You ran to someone for financial help and they lend you money that you swore you'd pay back by month end. That month end has now turned to 4 years and you are not only unbothered but also badmouthing the person. Abi someone stood as surety for you but you don japa now and left your guarantor to be facing police case court case and gbese alone. Fear God.

    4. You chop giveaway on a blog but go to other blogs to run down your benefactor and their business. Fear God.

    5. You know your priest, pastor, prophet, Imam or babalawo is sleeping with you and other married or single women and also scamming people but once they bring their matter on a blog, guilty conscience will start giving you org*sm and fueling your adrenaline to be jumping up and down to defend him from verbal "harm" because he dey drop tachere for you too once once or you just hate the truth. Fear God.

    6. You connive with your Nigerian or African husband to bait and marry an innocent oyinbo or someone with foreign citizenship with the mindset and understanding that he will divorce this person after he don set and invite you and your own kids over whilst the other woman is left heartbroken as a victim of a love scam; yet you drop 40 condemning comments per post on every Yul and Judy plus sidechick and cheating post. Fear God.

    7. You are a sidechick to a man whose wife is not only known to you but also close to you enough to discuss her personal affairs. She even invites you to parties and her home not knowing you are the one troubling her Israel. Fear God.

    8. You are in a serious relationship or marriage but sleeping around and distributing infections and diseases locally, nationally and internationally but pretend and act innocent when your faithful partner(s) complain of STIs/STDs. Fear God.

    9. You love and support a particular political party and swear they are performing well and your life is perfect under their administration but once awoof show, you will apply with your real ID, plastic ID, multiple ID and Anonymous 1, 2, 3 and 4. If you are not picked, you will enter fire and brimstone mode and every recipient plus giver will be collecting wotowoto in your Anonymous mode. Fear God.

    10. Your lifestyle is being financed with scam and blood money but you are quick to insult legitimate hustlers and run them down with your acidic tongue. Fear God.

None is perfect but the fear of God is the beginning of [true] wisdom. He who has lost all conscience has lost the fear of God and cannot have divine wisdom. If you dey carry God name dey act detty drama and live fake/evil life, God sef go dey dash you epic disgrace dey go. We can all do better; let's start today. Una doh o.

    1. I believe your kids are picky eaters and with time, they will get to expand their palate. Provided they are eating their favourite food which is healthy then no qualms
