ReplyDeleteAgain, this brings up the question, wetin Igbo people do plenty people for dis kontri? What exactly is their offense? Why do some people HATE the Igbos and are not ashamed to show it?
How hard is it for us to accept each other - positives, flaws and all?
There are lots of times Nigerians have united for a cause, and the end results have been glorious- the Hilda Baci cook-a-thon, the most recent example.
I pray one day, Nigerians will fully eschew bitterness and unite genuinely.

Whoever wants to hate should be allowed to hate. Hatred, no matter who or what you decide to hate on, is free but it is costly. It will cost you headache, chest pain, high blood pressure, stress, sleeplessness and what have you.

I don't support violence in any form, wht the guy did was way out of line and he should face the wrought of the law. However, I think igbos should be more emotionally intelligent. You can't ignite fire and start crying wolf when it starts burning. Try and read this slowly with an open mind not high heartednesss. Address issues with emotional intelligence. Stop fighting other tribes. I don't think anyone hates igbos, they are in every nooks and cranies of the country and beyond and thriving, will that be possible if they are hated? Let's learn to live in peace with one another. Fight and war is not the way out. Shalom

DeleteWhen Nigeria was a bit better and safe, I love traveling by road and when I do, I prefer sitting at the window side. I do so cos I love those beautiful sight of villages I will pass through. I get to see old historical buildings and some cultural heritage. I see village settings, the locals hawking along the road escorting vehicles to patronize their produce.

When I first visited Ogun state in 2010, there was this roundabout I passed through that has a statue erected on it. I think I have seen such edifice in one of the English Readers I used in primary school and it brought back old memories to me, reminiscing the good old days of my childhood education.
I saw the taxis painted in their city beautiful colours. The ambience and serenity that greeted one made it understandable that one is now in a different locality with a distinct cultural values and traditions. From the mood of dressing, the cooking with local pots and sometimes with firewood. The music been played and the language boldly spoken.
Indeed Nigeria is richly blessed in diversity but there is a problem...

I went on Google to search for Anthony Bridgerton (Jonathan Bailey). Omoh! I was shook, that fine man is a full blown gay with a "husband" sef 😭
I liked him in the series, reminded me of my younger brother in the first few episodes of Season 1. Yes, younger brother. Guy was blocking men from having access to me, they would beg him with bribes and give him love letter to give to me , he won't deliver them. He would warn them off me 🤣🤣🤣
Now he is married with kids, I look at him sometimes and laugh.
One of the best series I have watched this year. 👍

If your profile picture on WhatsApp is scary and ridiculous, please change it. I got a message from a number that is not on my contact yesterday. I didn't open the message because I felt it could be one of those scammers. To make matters worse, I checked the profile picture and it was a head with scary eyes, ha! I concluded they were scammers and didn't bother. I was waiting to see if I will receive further messages from the number, but I didn't. Before going to bed, I logged in to block and delete the number, I wanted to block it without opening the message but there was no option for blocking. That means I have to open the message to see the option for blocking. I opened the message with a speed of light and went straight to search for the blocking option then I noticed the message was long. I paused to read the first few lines and realized it was a message from an interest group I had been waiting to receive. A very important message o. This was how I would have missed out because of a yeye profile picture. Let's do better abeg.
