    No marriage should come with SILLY terms and conditions. Erase the mentality that you're doing your partner a favor, by getting married to him/her. Instead, you need to understand, that you both are coming together to make your lives easier and achieve results faster. It's a team work!
    Both of you need to love. Both of you need to submit. That's the best way to sustain your home.
    By the time you start giving your partner ridiculous terms and conditions before or after the wedding, you are setting the pace for shattering your home.
    Love is not selfish! It always seeks for the best of the other party.
    The foundation of marriage, is LOVE and TRUST. If you don't have that in large quantity, please avoid people's sons and daughters!

    Good morning Stella and BVs. My marriage is in 3 weeks time and I want to put on little weight. I lose weight easily and I don't know why. Though I have been stressing myself lately but that's how I easily lose weight. I have run series of tests. I eat twice daily but my neck is unecessarily long. Please who knows what I can do to put on before my event?

      You probably have a fast metabolism. There is little or nothing you can do naturally to add weight that fast if that's the case.

      DO NOT take weight adding drugs oh!!!! I beg you. It does more harm than good in the long run.
      There's a short video on aljazeera about a lady who was on these kind of drugs, because she wanted to gain more weight, only for her to incure severe health issues later on in life.

      Don't go seeking for a short term solution that will only give you long term problems in life. Learn to accept your stature.

      You'll add when kids start coming.

    A young man went to seek an important position at a large printing company. He passed the initial interview and was going to meet the director for the final interview. The director saw his resume, it was excellent. And asked, '
    - Have you received a scholarship for school?' The boy replied, " No '.
    -' It was your father who paid for your studies? '
    -' Yes.'- He replied.
    -' Where does your father work? '
    -' My father is a Blacksmith'
    The Director asked the young to show him his hands.
    The young man showed a pair of hands soft and perfect.
    -' Have you ever helped your parents at their job? '
    -' Never, my parents always wanted me to study and read more books. Besides, he can do the job better than me.
    The director said:
    -' I have got a request: When you go home today, go and wash the hands of your father and then come see me tomorrow morning.'

    The young felt his chance to get the job was high.
    When he returned to his house he asked his father if he would allow him to wash their hands.
    His father felt strange, happy, but with mixed feelings and showed their hands to his son. The young washed his hands, little by little. It was the first time that he noticed his father's hands were wrinkled and they had so many scars. Some bruises were so painful that his skin shuddered when he touched them.
    This was the first time that the young man recognized what it meant for this pair of hands to work every day to be able to pay for his study. The bruises on the hands were the price that he payed for their education, his school activities and his future.
    After cleaning his father's hands the young man stood in silence and began to tidy and clean up the workshop. That night, father and son talked for a long time.

    The next morning, the young man went to the office of the director.
    The Director noticed the tears in the eyes of the young when He asked him: -' Can you tell me what you did and what you learned yesterday at your house?'
    The boy replied: -' I washed my father's hands and when I finished I stayed and cleaned his workshop '
    -' Now I know what it is to appreciate and recognize that without my parents , I would not be who I am today . By helping my father I now realize how difficult and hard it is to do something on my own. I have come to appreciate the importance and the value in helping the family.

    The director said, "This is what I look for in my people. I want to hire someone who can appreciate the help of others , a person who knows the hardship of others to do things, and a person who does not put money as his only goal in life". ' You are hired '.

    A child that has been coddled, Protected and usually given him what he wants, develops a mentality of " I have the right ' and will always put himself first, ignoring the efforts of their parents. If we are this type of protective parent are we really showing love or are we destroying our children?
    You can give your child a big house , good food , computer classes , watch on a big screen TV . But when you're washing the floor or painting a wall , please let him experience that too.
    After eating have them wash the dishes with their brothers and sisters. It is not because you have no money to hire someone to do this it's because you want to love them the right way . No matter how rich you are, you want them to understand. One day your hair will have gray hair, like the father of this young man.
    The most important thing is that your child learns to appreciate the effort and to experience the difficulties and learn the ability to work with others to get things done. "

    The Recovery Room..

    How can I forget. This is the place you'll be taken to after surgery, it's where you'll wake up before you'll be wheeled back to your ward.

    I don't know if it intentional or just how it's done, cos when I asked my guy, he said, they'll be taking record of the process and counting down to when you should wake as the Anastasia wears off..

    Now let me paint the picture, imagine waking up after a surgery and seeing 2 elderly women with big eye glasses sitting on a table with 2 big books in front of them😂😂 God Abeg oh..

    As I woke up, I turned my head to my right and saw that, Omo I won jump down from my bed oh, e just be like say I dey were them won judge me with the book of life, na so the women too dey order me say make I remain stable.. stable Gini?! I come touch my belle, feel the stitches, so I know say well, I never be spirit, I come calm down ask of my gee, them say him dey outside, say make I relax Lol.. na so I calm down..


    PS: mosquito was our unofficial roommate, make NEPA no just take light for night, them go don begin sing you lullaby

      I saw shege in the hands of mosquitoes the day I spent one night in the hospital when I went to look after my uncle. I was wandering how those sick people cope in a mosquitoe filled environment plus their uncomfortable health condition

    I'm on my way to mountain of fire's monthly program, "Power must change hands".
    I'm using that Bible that a Jehovah witness member in Ilorin gave me four years ago, my daughter has hijacked my other Bible. I remember that it was a BV here that linked me to one of their fellow members in Ilorin and I got a story book for my daughter and a new Bible for myself. I said it back then that there is no difference in their own Bible, just the English.
    Thanks once again SDK for this blog. I have benefitted so much and I pray that I am able to give back more as a form of appreciation.

      I do attend it too, Mobil Ring road branch here. Today I did not go, house chores was too much.
