It has become a norm amongst Landlord/Landlady to increase their house rent without renovation or good reason behind such actions. They only do that to follow up the trend which isn't making sense to me. 

For those who are just getting their building erected or who just built their houses and tend to give it out to aspiring tenants in a very low price compared to what it used to be, I say kudos because we all know things are on the high side now. A bag of cement cost #4500, talk about 9inches /6inches block. That is still understandable if as a landlord who just built his/her own in this present situation of this country tend to give out two bedroom flat for 300k to 350k but what happens to the old buildings?.

Let me take you on a short journey, the house I just moved out from is an old building but very strong , neat and averagely ok. The house was built in 1980 and up till now, no renovation, and all parts of the building are still very much intact but the question is, why increase the house rent of a house that was built 43years ago when you are not even renovating or changing anything? why stress or make things difficult for people because it's your father's house. 

It was inherited and you never for once moved out of the house to rent your own apartment but keep increasing house rent. What if your father didn't work hard to leave that behind for you? Alot of questions to be answered by some people who inherited their Father's properties and also use it as means of livelihood.

Again, some house owners need what I term "Mindset Surgery" because most of them are being controlled by the so called "Agents" who are just after what they will get and not what happens between the landlord and the tenant after agreement and payment of house rent has been made. 

Some landlords sit together just to decide on how to increase house rent without any renovation or considering people . I think these people need re-orientation and also they need to see reason behind being considerate because this attitude is getting worse and it's time for the government to look into it before it gets worse.

My prayer is, my good Lord should bless us beyond measure because as for me, I don't pray to victimize my tenants. I want to set a standard that no Landlord association and my children can change. I want to make things easy for people because have been there and I know what I went through. I want my house to be the cheapest , so that, when I leave this world, my good deeds will continue to speak for my generation till the world comes to an end.
