MONDAY IN HOUSE NEWS

 Hailings for a new week....

IN HOUSE MEMO
I salute everyone and wishing you all a blessed day for the rest of the day.....New movie alert is movie called 'Eve of abduction' It is a 2018 movie and will keep you the edge of your seat....The acting and deceit was topnotch and not like the movie being acted in any of the 'woods' you know...

I no go dey talk too much again inside this memo unless it is necessary....... I would have loved to be active in the comment section cos i see comments i want to respond to but creating posts eh, whether copied or not needs attention and time.....Sundays are always rather slow with comments and all so i think i will decidate Sundays to the spontaneous post commenting... will still think about it...

BV OyinGATE, i love the Sunday column but be careful of people who will create drama just for you to document them in it.....Great recaps.

Hugs to you all...

PINKYS CORNER
Rich Men no dey listen to advice

Why is it that, rich men find it hard to listen to word of advice from someone who is not up to their standard knowing fully well that no man can be an Island of knowledge.
I was jejely at my stand when a man beckoned to me from his jeep. I answered him and he told me he needs some money and I attended to him nicely. He withdrew 100k and gave me more than what I expected. He then asked if he can get people or someone who can help him clean his apartment because the firm he works with just rented it for him and they transferred him from Lagos to Ibadan.

I quickly told him that I do such and we discussed and agreed on coming to check the same day but will be around 5pm. I got there and it was a duplex. No much dust, it's something I can do within 4hours. We discussed and he agreed to pay me 25k(as you know, the present situation of this country demand for more than one source of income as I never be rich man).
I went to the place the next day which was on Thursday, cleaned all the apartment, I also bought insecticide which I used.(I only spent 5k including transport and other things I bought). After washing, I called him so I can drop his key but he told me to go with it ,that he will call me once he is through with his meeting. I waited till 6pm, I didn't see him. He then called around 8pm and asked if I can meet him there, on getting there, I saw a long time friend and I was shocked, asked him what he was doing there? he said the man just employed him as his driver.
I told I was the one who cleaned the apartment and also not to talk much, I told him we will discuss later then we exchanged contact. After I dropping his key, he asked if I can come help him on Friday for some of his stuff, he said they will be bringing his loads on Friday which I agreed.

His call came in very early on Friday and he asked me to meet him at that house around 10am which I did at exactly 10am. Myself and his driver(long time friend) helped in putting down all the loads from the vehicle that brought his stuff and also helped in arranging them to where they should be based on his instructions and direction. His wife and two kids came around 3pm on Friday(same day).

Around 6pm, they wanted to cook and the driver helped them in installing the cylinder and other things in the kitchen, during the process, I went into the kitchen to help the driver and I noticed that kitchen was built in a way that, you don't need pipe(tube) to convey gas into your burner, it has been installed under the tiles, all you need is just connect the head to the cylinder and the other end to the burner in the kitchen.(cant you see money is good? but did they even know the disadvantage of that installation?).

The man came into the kitchen to see if everything had been set so that his wife can come cook, then I called his attention to it, I told him using this installation isn't good at all because he doesn't know when it was installed and most of the pipes now get easily destroyed when attached to cement, let alone passing the pipe under the tiles but he said it's nothing it's just a new way and it also help to curb fire outbreak. Then I kept quiet because I know it will be so disastrous if there is a leakage and it will be so difficult to rectify or identify which means, you have to break the tiles again.ok, no wahala, I assisted the guy and after I was through, I told him I need to leave then he gave me another 10k.

I told my friend that I need to leave then I gave him 3k out of the 10k I was given. He thanked me and I told him to see me on Sunday so we could talk better about life because it's been 10years we departed. On Saturday, I woke up and went to Bodija market to buy food stuff because I have been thinking of how to stock the house again because the one we had at home is almost going off. I went to the market and used the money to buy rice, garri, beans etc(you know the saying, ti Ebi ba kuro ninu ise, ise bu se)(meaning, if feeding is settled, the rest of your heart desire becomes easy). After the market stress, I got home and wanted to bath so I can go to my stand then a call came in from my long time friend who is presently a driver to the man.

He said ''Hello baba, wahala wa oooo, wetin happen bro? the kitchen ground exploded this morning and the man's wife and his first born was injured'' why? what caused it? He said, it seems there was a leakage under the tiles which no one knew, he said they were cooking and never knew the leakage was so serious, the only thing they heard was gbaooooo and the tiles came up with force, they were trying to rescue the wife and the first child when the cylinder also exploded. So painful, I intend to go pay them a visit because he said they had been taken to UCH then I thought of it, life is deep, I don't want any issue.

The man might think I caused it because some people can so think otherwise. But sincerely, I told him not to use that, I advised him to buy his own pipe to convey the gas there because I have once seen the result of that method . Using and exposing your pipe makes it easier to know whenever there is a leakage because gas sabi smell but something you passed through the ground and did tiles on will be so difficult to know.

HOW TO REDUCE STRETCH MARKS

Hey there, folks! So, let's dive into the topic of reducing those pesky stretch marks. We all know how they can be a bother, whether they're from pregnancy, weight gain or loss, or simply the result of growth spurts. But fear not, because I've got a few tricks up my sleeve to help you minimize their appearance and boost your confidence!

First up, hydration is key! Keeping your skin well-hydrated can work wonders in reducing the visibility of stretch marks. Make sure to drink plenty of water throughout the day to keep your skin moisturized from within. You can also use a good quality moisturizer or lotion to keep your skin supple and elastic. Look for products containing ingredients like cocoa butter, shea butter, or vitamin E, as they are known to improve the appearance of stretch marks over time.

Next, let's talk about exfoliation. Regular exfoliation can help slough off dead skin cells and stimulate the production of new, healthier skin cells. Grab a gentle exfoliating scrub or brush and gently massage it over the affected areas in circular motions during your shower routine. This will not only improve blood circulation but also promote the regeneration of skin cells, gradually fading those stretch marks away.

Last but not least, be patient with yourself and give it time. Reducing stretch marks is a process that takes time and consistency. Remember, these marks didn't appear overnight, so they won't disappear overnight either. Keep up with a healthy skincare routine, stay positive, and embrace your beautiful self just the way you are!

That's it for today's tips on reducing stretch marks, my friends. I hope you find them helpful in your journey towards smoother, more confident skin. Remember, it's all about taking care of yourself and loving the skin you're in. Stay fabulous!

  1. Today is world drug abuse day..

I was listening to radio this morning and they were discussing about drug abuse and its effects on Nigerian youths. I was shocked when a caller called in and said he deals on electrical appliances, he said some groups of youths usually come to his shop every day to buy a particular energy saving bulb, the type that is spiral in shape, he said the guys after buying the bulbs will break the bulbs in his presence and take only the spiral-glass-part home.

One day he inquired from them to know what they do with it, he was told there's a white powdered substance inside the glass..they sniff it and get high.

Both the presenter and the guest speaker on radio were rattled by that information including myself the listener.

Drug abuse has eaten deep into our society and our youths are looking for even more ways to get high, from sniffing matches to sniffing septic tank and more.

The ladies are not left out, if you are in Lagos and you have a babe that's not doing drugs, you must be a lucky man.

The society is damaged and this set of youths will end up giving births to damaged children that will lead the country tomorrow..

    Say no drugs!

    1. Hi Kelvin, I agree Ijakumo was just there but, in my opinion, Kunle's character didn't save nada! His lines were too vulgar and the movie had too many unnecessary scenes.
      1. The part where Sharon found the flash drive was too fake; ad no suspense at all! (why did they keep pronouncing thumb drive as TOM drive hehehe)
      2. The Anto character (computer geek) was too fake in her portrayal of a computer geek. What's with the stereotyped lollipop-licking tech guru nonsense!!!
      3. Don't get me started with the fight scenes and kindergarten-styled special effects.
      4. Why did Mary have to die in place of Sharon? That was unfair joor.

  9. ONLY ONE SHOE

    Moral Story Of The Day.

A weak old man walked into a shoe store and asked for the price of a pair of shoes. After making his payment, he asked the sales person.

"Could you please show me your trash can?"

    She responded.
"Right over there on the left"

The old man then walked towards the bin and dumped one of the shoes he just bought into it.

The sales person saw what he did and broke into uncontrollable giggles. She knew obviously that the old man was drunk. She mocked him and watched him leave the store with only one of the shoes.

The following week, the old man visited the shoe store again to buy another pair of shoes. Having recognized him, the sales person watched him carefully, waiting to see his next silly act. As soon as he paid for the new shoes, he moved towards the garbage bin and threw away one of the shoes, repeating his previous act.

The sales person wouldn't stop laughing at him. When the old man noticed that he was being teased, he felt miserable and left the store with only one shoe.

One week later, the old man came to the store for the third time. But this time around, the sales person had no option but to confront him.

"We don't have any shoes for you, drunk old man" she declared.

    The man said calmly.
"But why? I have never owed you money"

    The lady scoffed.
"Now listen here drunk old man, I have reported you to my boss, and he said we shouldn't let dumb people like you visit our store. So can you leave now?"

Just then, the store owner arrived and saw the two individuals having a little argument. The sales person was quick to give an explanation, blaming the old man. But on a quest to hear the other side of the story, the store owner asked the old man.

"Why do you always dump one of your shoes in our store?"

The old man paused for a moment, with tears in his eyes, he began to speak.

"When I lost my wife many years ago, I had to raise our only son all by myself. Luckily, he grew up into a bright young man and was the most hardworking and smartest person I knew. I sent him to college, and he made me very proud by graduating with honours. Later on, he worked as a computer engineer and won numerous awards in the course of his employment. But all of a sudden, tragedy struck and changed my son's life forever. Few months to his wedding, three years ago, he had a car accident and lost both his upper limbs and one of his legs. It hurts me so much as a father, and hurts me even more knowing that all my son's dreams in life had been terminated. Now, whenever I buy him shoes, I always discard the other pair because my son has only one foot".

    Moral Of The Story:
Do not be too quick in judging other people. Every single person on the planet has a story, so don't judge or criticize anyone without having full knowledge of what they are going through.

    10. The spoiling that you people spoilt him in Nigeria is not enough, you still want to send cooked soup to him in Europe. Is he a small child?
Anyway, you can send foodstuff to him, let him watch YouTube videos and learn how to prepare the soup. Also, let him relate with fellow Nigerians over there and ask of African stores. There he will buy Nigerian foodstuff and use YouTube videos to prepare them, himself.
Allow him to learn to be independent. We have enough spoilt brats around already. 🙄

    13. What you putting in the soup that you insist on sending this soup to your brother? First of all your shipment will go under undue scrutiny and may not make it, any carrier can decide not to deliver it. I would tell you to avoid the entire thing. Either serve the soup when your brother visits or teach him how to make the soup. Cause this soup business raising eyebrows.

Shipping soup is strange! You can ship yams and other food stuffs, baked goods, packaged foods. Forget the soup unless you know someone trustworthy who is travelling that can deliver it to him.

My 17 year old can cook soup and stew.
Let him learn to take care of his own stomach as an adult.
It is more hygienic and economical.

  32. FFK praises you-know-who

    ALL IN THREE WEEKS!

No leader or President in the history of our country has effected so many positive changes and reforms and appointed so many credible, decisive, courageous and effective people into key positions in his administration within THREE weeks of being sworn into office as President Bola Ahmed Tinubu (@officialABAT).

Today even his most ardent critics and those that bent over backwards to stop, discredit, denigrate, humiliate and destroy him during the presidential campaign are commending him.

He has made those of us that recognised and appreciated his value and potentials, had faith in him, risked all, stood with him and fought for him proud and most importantly we have been vindicated.

Thanks to BAT Nigeria now has a new lease of life and the light of God has began to dispel the thick darkness and tangible cloud of stagnation, retrograde and retrogressive policies, monumental corruption, vicious persecution, selective application of justice, abuse of power, incompehensible incompetence and wholesale and malicious impunity that we have witnessed over the last few years.

Today where are those that deprived the Nigerian people of all their money and threw them into penury in the name of printing new notes just to stop Tinubu from emerging as President?

Where are those that mocked and poured scorn on him on television, in the newspapers, on social media and in international forums and that consistently portrayed him as being shallow, superficial, dangerous, incompetent, unreliable and evil to the Nigerian people and the international community?

Where are those that said he was too old to be President, that he takes hard drugs and that he is a drug baron, thief, international criminal and a mafia don?

Where are those that said he cannot put a sentence together, that he talks hullabaloo and gibberish and that swearing him in would be tantamount to inviting the military to take power and lead to a coup?

Where are those that said he is incurably and terminally ill and that he is so broken, befuddled, confused, incapacitated and debilitated by sickness, senility and old age that he could not possibly perform well as President and Commander in Chief or make the right decisions and choices?

I say shame on them all!

I also say kudos to BAT and glory hallelujah to the Living God who saw fit to provide Nigeria with a second chance by making him President.

  33. Ada Anambra shares her two cents whilst simultaneously addressing her people

The insensitivity and emotional politics from your likes kept our region where it is today!

This republican and unrealistic approach to issues will never help us, especially in a complex country like Nigeria where you need to network to gain political grounds, to take hold of the center.

Where is our bargaining force as a region?

    None at all!!!
It's lost and the chances of reclaiming it are damaged!!!

If only Obi had maintained and managed APGA as he promised Ojukwu and spread APGA tentacles across other regions, he would have used APGA to get our people organized as a bargaining force in collaboration with some states outside our region.

Politics has to do with negotiations and convincing others why they should vote for your candidates.
Unfortunately, Obi wasn't able to convince millions of Nigeria that he is the best and that's why he came third!
Forget the hype and social media noise.
It's all about Strategic planned Structure and it's not an overnight journey.

You don’t stay in your corner, abuse everyone in Nigeria, and use religion, threats, and victimhood mentality to get the Nigerian Presidency.
    It doesn't work that way.
Can we learn from our mistakes and get better?

It's time to work smarter and harder, instead of playing “Nzogbu-nzogbu” politics, if at all, our region wants to be relevant politically.

President Bola Ahmed Tinubu is now your president, get used to it, cos it's for the next eight years, then power will go to the North in 2031(Another eight years).
When it returns to the South in 2039, the whole South-East has to fight in love (not in division) if not, the better-resourced South-South will go for it.
Let's get prepared and start doing the needful.

By the way, i'm a proud Isinwanyi, Oke Ada n' Ngwuru Nnam.
Ada Awka North ma buru Nnukwu Nwa Anambra!!
    Thank you!

Using gas in Nigeria is very risky. You should tell them to sue the owner of the house, the developer and caretaker for that accident.

  38. Wow. No matter how lazy we are about doing something it is important that when we have a family to protect we go the extra mile to ensure their safety. The man didn’t even get a second opinion if he didn’t trust yours. See problem after new move, so tragic and avoidable.

Pinky, I understand your fears because some ppl are so funny in how they view things. At the end of the day your conscience is free because you warned him, all you can do is give the information whether or not someone chooses to accept it is not within anyone’s power.
