It is very true. I am never going to pressure my girls to get married. I will just make sure they value themselves and are in a good place mentally to attract the right spouse. It's important to show your kids a lot of love and attention so they don't go looking for love in the wrong places and fall into the wrong hands.
ReplyDeleteChai Moët, why nau & I love u sooo much. U should have said “Some”, instead of making it look like everyone in it is guilty.
ReplyDeleteMoet Abebe is right on this one. But every1 has a reason why they get married, flimsy or not.
ReplyDeleteMany reasons are flimsy, how many people get married to achieve purposeor destiny?
Relationship/ marriage matter every eke market day is exhausting... these celeb should say something different for a change pls
ReplyDeleteWith the kind of chronicles we've been reading these days, she's right. Many people are getting married for the wrong reasons and we are seeing the effects. If there were no negative financial repercussions to divorce, many marriages would have ended.
ReplyDeleteNonsense talk. The problem is that those ladies in their 30s fail to develop real relationships. They are busy chasing money and yahoo boys. Once they hit 30, they turn to church and hit overdrive on the search. Desperation ends up pushing them into useless marriages. It is a slippery slope if a lady is not married by 28. No sugarcoating need. The first step is telling ladies the truth. Who says truth isn't bitter?
ReplyDeleteThis your 30s talk only applies to your Nigerian men ok, where I come from 30s isn't a big deal, And i got married to the best man every woman is currently praying for, God fearing, Educated, Wealthy and flamboyantly exposed, I'm 32yrs old now, While some of my cousins who got married in their early 20s are filled with regrets, The world has moved on from that, kindly do so too, it will save your daughters from marrying rubbish because of age deadline.
DeleteAll this yahoo yahoo talk? When did yahoo yahoo become a thing that you want to insult women that are currently in their 30s? When I was in my 20s, yahoo yahoo was not as prevalent as it is now. There are decent women like me and other ladies I know who didn't spend their younger years doing what you classify as bad but just didn't meet the right person in their 20s. Change your circle so you can know more decent people.
DeleteAnon 17:45. This is a Nigerian blog.
DeleteTo a hungry dog, every well fed one looks like a thief.
ReplyDeleteBut it's very true !
ReplyDeleteEveryman is a selfish animal. So we all "dabble" into what we consider will favour us.
If you want wait until you are 50, it doesn't guarantee a long marriage.
