STAND ALONE NARRATIVE

THE CURSING WIFE

My wife swears and curses easily and I don't like it, it makes me withdrawn. She speaks 3 words, 1 or one and half will be a swear word. I have begged and quarrelled with her to stop to no avail. 

I was really surprised when her favourite actor acted as a villain in a role not used to. The insults and curses she received that day. I told her that it was just a film, that the actor was cast to act that way. I will never forget that day.

 I was not brought up to insult or swear at people. She was not brought up that way as she's the only one that speaks like that in her family. I cringe when such words leave her mouth. I end up keeping quiet when we're together for fear of insults or swear words coming from her.

The words are not directed to me but from the person walking by to tv programs/actors to politicians to everything. I have told her that no matter how much she swears and curses, it's of no effect.

The issue is that the swear and curse words are having effect on me and giving me low s#x drive. It's affecting my psych. I have told her for years now, she thinks I'm joking or not serious. She travels to her sisters', comes back, all is okay as the words are far from me but once she starts all over, I hardly get erection. The body might want s#x but psychologically not available.

She was not like this when we met but grew to become as she is now. I'm emotionally not available for her because of this. When she comes back from travel, she asks what happened as I perform well. I will explain but she will wave it off. Just tired of the swearing and insults. I really get startled sometimes hearing the high energy used in cursing someone on the tv screen or a news she just read. May she change is my prayer.

Our words have consequences.

* I think you need to become more alert and think of how you can find help, I think your wife is showing signs of serious psychiatric illness... Please look for a way to help her....I know someone exactly like this and it turned out to be pyschiatric problem..... Please stop being angry and help her seek help...
