It will be recalled that during a sermon in his church, the televangelist expressed his strong dislike for the church denomination because of the practices he believes they engage him.
According to him, some prophets in white garment churches manipulate people’s destinies through the use of demonic psalms and other rituals.
“Do you know why I dislike white garment churches? People don’t know the reasons behind my feelings. If you knew what they do, you would never like them. They can take your surname and put it inside a bottle of gin and perform incantations,” he was quoted to have said.
His statement did not sit well with many and he was called out for openly berating another church on the pulpit.
In a new development, the Celestial Church of Christ has taken to their media’s official Instagram account to condemn Pastor Ibiyomie for speaking ill of their church.
They declared that the clergyman cannot be considered a true man of God for saying he ‘hates’ another Christian denomination, as it’s against the teachings of Christ. They also clarified that they pray with Psalms, not incantations as he claimed.

If we focus on preaching salvation to sinners, deliverance to those in captivity, healing to the sick, fruitfulness to the barren, there won't be time to preach denomination. I am pentecostal but I know a lot of genuine believers in Anglican, Methodist etc. If you are washed by the blood of Jesus and live a holy life, God accepts you irrespective of the name of your church.

Mahatma Gandhi once said: "I like your christ, not your Christians." E get why. That man, I admire so much and he practiced Hinduism. I often listen to Mufti Menk, a Muslim and I can read the Quran but have never practiced Islam. The Israelites that God loves so much practice Judaism (to this day) and in fact, Jesus practiced Judaism all his 33 years on earth. My overall point is that God can choose anyone, people or form of worship for himself through certain people. If you don't like it and they are not forcing you to join them, keep off their mention. The Bible says “after death there is judgement”, most of their practices in white garment are just decorated modernized juju. A friend took in her very close friend who “used” to go to one of them. I told her the person still goes. Years later she was moving houses & saw a Naija “abela”. She asked her “friend” who denied but nobody else stayed in the place they houses them but her “friend” & kids from Naija. and they don’t sell those types of candles in the area of the country she lived in.

She had even left her kids with the “former white garment church” woman who may have carried out cele rituals when she wasn't home as the kids were young. Why burn candle in someone else’s house. It was probably to get her kids to settle in that country which later happened thank God but the other lady was hoping she didn’t do anything with repercussion in her home as she left her children with her while she went to work. Years later, she is still pleading the blood of Jesus to neutralize any “eto” or “ise” “cele rituals” carried out in her home. Th trust is broken and she wished she never took them in for weeks, free of hotel charges. What it may be nothing but it’s only human for her mind to go there with later events.
I’m not judging anyone as we will all give account to God but another friend lived briefly with an uncle who attended. They insisted on burning incense in the room they gave her to sleep despite the fact that she did not attend their place of worship. The man was an adulterer who won’t even touch his beautiful wife while he carried girls who had little underwear beneath their white gowns. In short, both ladies are still praying for deliverance from whatever happened as a result of those encounters. One lost so much career wise among other issues. The same heartless “friend” got money to buy property for them but bought multiple in the same estate in a good place but the only one they got for her is waterlogged and not buildable or even sellable after a decade! It wasn’t cheap. Tell me if that is not evil! Nobody should do that even to their enemy and I encouraged her to leave them to God for judgement because she is very trusting & nice, not the mean type. She was very trusting. You bought three good properties and the only one you got for your “friend” is waterlogged yet you can’t swap at least one of the three you have with them? It’s pure evil.
Many of them attend the Pentecostal churches because it’s more acceptable to their circle but face the white garments when they need quick solution or microwave and don’t mind whose horse is gored by their multitude of rituals. They aren’t even proud of attending sometimes, lying and pretending they don’t go. If it is that godly/Christian why not be proud of it everywhere?
Read your Bible and research churches to see if their practice is in line with the Bible. Also be careful with “friendships” many friends are jealous, disguised enemies who can pretend fo years, get close to pull you down, God fobid. May God protect his own and judge the wicked unless they repent.
