You will recall that when Deborah was lynched to de#th because of her faith, her parents vowed that they would not send any of their children to school again.
Apostle Chibuzor Chinyere, the General Overseer of OPM announced in Facebook that he would help them. He facilitated their relocation to Port-Harcourt from Niger state, gave her father, Mr Garba Emmanuel a car for taxi business and gave them a mini estate.
One year later, Mr Garba says, “People think that we are living well but we are not. OPM took us from where we were in Niger State to Port Harcourt City last year. The OPM pastor gave us a mini estate with about 14 self-contained apartments. After that, OPM rented this bedroom flat for us.”
“He said we should be staying here because we are a family and those self-contained apartments cannot be enough for the family. He furnished the apartment with the appliances.
“The first time we got here, OPM got me a car. It was a Toyota Corolla but it wasn’t new. It was a fairly used vehicle and the car has developed some faults. I was using it as a taxi before but it has some challenges and I have parked it.
“The first time OPM brought us to Port Harcourt they brought food items to us. After that first time, we have been struggling on our own. Right from the day OPM gave me this car, the car has been developing faults. On the first day I tried to take my children to school the car broke down on its way back. We towed the car back.
“I even went to the OPM pastor to speak with him in person. I let him know that the car has been developing a fault all this while. He called the person who bought the car on behalf of OPM and that person said that I did not know how to drive the vehicle properly. I have been a driver before now; this is not the first vehicle I’ve driven.
“The engine of the car is bad and I don’t have the money to fix it. I am looking for money to feed myself and my family. All the money people gave me for my upkeep, I used it on this car. Whenever I complained, the PA to the OPM pastor told me to stop complaining about the car but to fix it myself.”
When he was asked about the mini estate that was given to them, he said,
“From time to time, the OPM leader used to call to check on us. He paid the rent. Right now, the rent for this apartment has expired. The landlord has told us to renew the rent or leave. All the appliances and the equipment in this apartment belong to OPM, we don’t own it."
Concerning the scholarship offered to the children, he said, “OPM gave Deborah’s siblings a scholarship each. They are schooling here in the church’s free school. However, the scholarships were not all what we thought they were. They promised to send one of my boys to school abroad. We were told it was going to be a European country. I was surprised when my son turned the offer down because they sent him to Cotonou instead.”

See, the Man of God has a lot of responsibilities and his ministry is a prophetic and deliverance one. A lot of sensitivity to the Spirit realm is of utmost importance here. I said that to say, most of this welfare challenges are passed on to senior members of the ministry after the first encounters and meetings. Those placed there are doing a very very poor job and should be questioned seriously so people will stop dragging the Man of God.
ReplyDeleteYou see what you described is exactly the problems we have in Nigeria as a whole.
DeleteThe Pastor/ Leaders can't be everywhere at the same time, so s/he has to delegate the responsibilities to other people to oversee, unfortunately, they are the ones not performing as expected but the blame will be directed to the leaders.
Must be an “apostle drag-a-thon” season
DeleteMay God deliver Nigerians from entitlement syndrome cus what the hell is this?
That man dint owe you shit, he bought you a second hand car bawo? How many has your family members given you.
You had a whole year to look for work even if it’s to carry block to feed your family and you a capping rubbish.
Atleast your kids are in school.
I even blame the pastor, he should have helped you people from afar

Jesus Christ! Ungrateful people abound this much? The car you were given isn't a new car and so what? Just imagine this family oh. .when even people from your region didn't come out to help you, you're here looking for who will keep spoon feeding you and your family for life..he parked the car that was supposed to be a source of income cos he's waiting for the pastor to give him 1M to fix whatever, your son schooling in Cotonou isn't good in your eyes abi? Such a smelly entitlement mentality from this family..when alot of people are out there looking for just small opportunity to better themselves, they will pick from where their benefactor stop and do wonders..these ones are here lamenting! SMH
ReplyDeleteLet you ye be ye and your nay be nay.
DeleteIt is a demonic thing to be fraudulent or scamming other people for clout or whatever. You give someone something they should be able to use to work but the said thing is not working itself. How have you helped them in actual sense? But you disguised a dead thing as a living thing. That itself is evil.
His son even turn down the offer to school in cotonou because he was promised Europe. Na wa for some people fa.
DeletePls how were they ungrateful?didnt you hear they had nothing to their names before they left?they pratically ran for their lives.how would they have maintained an old car?you guys throw around the world "entitlement " too much as if you just heard of the word. Original sugar girl thanks for saying the truth. You said you gave me something to work with. It turned out not being uselful. I complained you now said i am feeling entitled. You guys ahould fear God not pastor o.
DeleteBV osundi, is Cotonou an English speaking country? If he accepts the offer and goes there and begins to fail because of the language challenge, will you not blame the boy?
DeleteWhy did the Pastor promise him a scholarship to Europe and then changed mouth? Let our yea be yea indeed.
Original sugar girl God bless you
Delete@14:11
DeleteIs Russia an English speaking country? Ukraine? Germany? France? Do Nigerians not flock to those countries to study and work? So because it's cotonou, you people now know it's not an English speaking country.
The entitlement stinks to high heavens!
The truth is that you can't help people by just giving them money to start up a business or go to school. You need to first change their mindset about life. You can give someone one billion and the person can tell you he or she is broke tomorrow. You can also give someone #10,000 and that person can turn it into #100,000
DeleteA little help and you should take it from there. As you were doing the Taxi business could you not maintain the car. Grab the opportunity and run with it.
DeleteThe pastor did not make a view of a little help. In front of cameras, he gifted a block of flats then turned around to put them in a single rented flat. He promised Europe and delivered Coutonu. He promised unending foodstuffs and delivered starvation. He abused the greed and grief of a family morning a great loss then left them high and dry. The man no pure. It is better to not promise and deliver than to make an oath and fall short. Na bible tal am. The family was overly reliant, maybe even greedy, the pastor was deceitful.
DeleteNa wa.
ReplyDeleteScam dey for church too. Nobe only politicians sabi scam, nobe only non church goers sabi scam. These things starts from parental upbringing. What are the moral values you imbibe in your children. Train up a child in the way he should go and when he is old he will not depart from it.
ReplyDeleteI will have suggested apostle Chibuzor take a break in helping people but you can't stop a born philanthropist. This interview goes to show how wicked the heart of men is. You were living in Niger state where your life and that of your family is not secured after the death of your sister. Someone brought you to PH. Bought a car for you which you are using for taxi and you still expect the person to be repairing the car for you. See the way he described the car. You don't even have a bycicle when the man took you in. He promised to take your child abroad for scholarship and he had the guts to turn down the scholarship because he sent him to cotonou instead of Europe. Is cotonou not abroad?.
ReplyDeleteApostle Chibuzor. You are a gift to humanity. Your kindness will not cause you pain. To the Samuel's family, no one tied your legs in PH and Apostle Chibuzor house. You can kindly pack your things and leave to Europe or anywhere you feel you will get a better life compared to what you are getting already. I hate ungrateful people with passion. If you feel it's easy to carry someone's responsibility, try am
Zaram you are trying to hard to cover up evils that are glaring here because he is an acclaimed man of God. Because he owns a church you see no possibly of him doing any evil.
DeleteManaging a rickety vehicle is not easy. A vehicle that was never functioning properly right from the day it was handed over to him. Where do you want him to get the money to repair the vehicle with? Where will he find money to even change the engine of the vehicle?
Didn't you see that non of the property in the house belongs to them? Like, even if they decide to leave P.H for another state now, they can't go with those furniture because it is not theirs. If not I would have adviced them to sell some of the property and use the money to fix the vehicle.
Zaram, you don't want to know what people want with trouble vehicle go through. You don't even want to experience it. You will keep using the money meant for feeding to fix vehicle that will develop new fault after one week.
You stay in North, you know how cost of living over there is compared to P.H. Have you compared 200 naira tomatoes in the North to that of the South? Is it with this problematic vehicle that he will use to make money to sustain his family till he is finally able to adjust with the life in the south?
@Slim shaddy you're right. The only wrong thing they did was their son turning down Cotonu scholarship. Aside that, they're not wrong crying out for help after all they promised them enter voice mail.
Delete@slim shady, thank you for saying the truth. Some people on this blog are heartless i swear. Where will he get money to service a spoilt car?car he couldnt even use for one trip?non of the furnitures or houses were his to sell and make money? People like zaram wants an old man to go carry block na.
Delete@slim shaddy. No dear I am not covering him because he is a man of God but because I know it's not easy to help another especially when you have nothing to gain from that help. I know it's not easy maintaining a troubled vehicle but this interview is uncalled for especially at this time of happie boys bruhahaha. He is human for Christ sake. He cannot satisfy all his personal needs more or less satisfying a fellow humans' needs.
DeleteThanks for being kind with your choice of words.
Slim thank you for speaking the truth. Let your yes mean yes and your no no. That is what the bible says
DeleteWhy is all this happening?

DeleteWhy are you everywhere saying the Apostle is a scam, chase cloth for what is he looking for members or political appointment?
DeleteAnon 13:21, it is mentality like yours that has gotten Nigeria to where it is today. No form of accountability whatsoever. If you know you cannot fulfil your promise don't use the downtrodden for clout. It is evil
Delete13:21 is this the best way you could handle this issue if you were called judge? God abeg o. May I never be a blind follower of any pastor. You can't redicle my God with lies and you expect me not to speak up because you are my pastor.
DeleteCUPCAKE the matter tire me o!
DeleteWith what is on ground, the churchman did well!
All those talk about grants are still SPECULATIONS without evidence. Those BVs who wont drop gala and porewater for this family, are beefing the churchman for things they are GUESSING that he has (grants international NGO support) and so are gingering these niger people to criticize the pastor.
Them going after the pastor bcos of ALLEGED grants and co, just to make themselves feel good about tarnishing a USEFUL persons name is like me being happy at the rising price of fuel which is AFFECTING my standard of living but am grinning because removing fuel subsidy will affectthe purse of faceless cabals. Like I am euphoric that actors no longer get milkhoney subsidy but in reality my paltry salary cannot afford all the rise in cost of living. TUFIAKWA for their mindset!
Mind you, none of them will aid this family even if na groundnut. They are just here to tear a man down.
And my post has nothing to do with idolizing pastors, I supported davido's charity stunt that year and he aint a saint!!!
"Mind you, none of them will aid this family even if na groundnut. They are just here to tear a man down." Thank you! This is exactly what happens among my village people. Give them 10k and they will reject and say it is too small, how can a big you give us only 10k, but those encouraging them to look down on the 10k will not give them even a kobo...
DeleteClout chasing gone wrong. I no dey too like to put mouth for men of God matter sha. Let me just π€
ReplyDeleteI don't rust MOG but if someone is a giver in these harsh times, they tried. There are other things they could have used those monies to do but they gave and gave

Apart from the mini estate, this ma admitted a whole lot of things the churchman did for him as real so Tey the son reject school outright.
Fuel increase has changed the standard of living in this country, make person open business's for me and I go criticise them, never!
Dont keep the mini estate apart ooo, it's part of the lies.
DeleteAnd fuel increase happened less than a month ago, how are you trying to use that as an excuse?
I don’t even care if it’s for clout

12:49 nothing was given to them. Property wasn't theirs, house wasn't theirs, vehicle can't yeild income, vehicle keeps developing fault from the first day the vehicle was handed over to them . How can a child of God, a preacher of love, someone that guides people on how to live a Godly life do this and call it philanthropy? What then are you teaching those who lookup to you? Some politicians and celebrities can even do far better than some acclaimed church owners. If you want to do good please do it well.
DeleteHe should come and defend himself on this. If it is the fault of your .P.A, the point him out publicly. Don't come and tell us that you don't want to call names because I will not believe you.
Push up , yes doing all these things for someone you have no relationship with is a whole lot but the lies and empty promises is what we are attacking him for. It is not Ok to make emty promises. It is very dangerous to the person you made such promises to. You made the world to believe that those people are in good condition whereas they are not. If an unbeliever does this I would have ignored but a pastor who reads and teaches the word of God, a representative of Christ, someone whom ordinary people look up to to lead them to Christ. You guys should stop concealing the truth please.
DeletePush up just leave people alone to keep yarning dust.
DeleteDid the man not claim that the pastor gave his PA/someone money to buy that car? The complaints he made were even to the PA mostly, shouldn't the pastor fulfilling even a part of the promise count for something?
People are entitled, point blank period!
A lot of these hiccups might even be from administrative bottlenecks, committee members even within the church steady stealing church proceeds no be today.
Well, I kind of blame the pastor for not minding his business and extending the hand of fellowship strictly to his church members first.
The sense of entitlement people have, is unimaginable! But at the same time, this GO/Pastor seems to like public attention and assist people without looking at the sustainability of his decisions - not always thought through, properly.
ReplyDeleteExactly!
DeleteThe pastor truly seems to be magnifying the amount of help he is giving people just for popularity. But also, this family seems to be very ungrateful. So in one year, both father and mother could not look for menial jobs to do? Their son even rejected admission to a school in cotonou? When people are looking for whole will pay their tuition in Nigerian schools. I'm so angry.
It's very hard to help some people because once you start to help, they will never want the help to stop.
Anyways, both sides are wrong. The 'MOG' is a clout chaser with the little help he offers and the Samuels family is ungrateful and come across as lazy.
Thank God the boy rejected it. By now, he would have abandoned him there to fen for his school fees alo e
DeleteNawaa oo! Let me reserve my comment until OPM responds.
ReplyDeleteEntitlement mentality!
ReplyDeleteOk, go back to the north and suffer. Gosh!
Very simple solution.
DeleteHmmmm. Before we scream ungrateful let's be guided. Dear Pastor, they say what is worth doing is worth doing well. Obviously, it will take a couple of years before things will pick up well for this family that relocated. Instead of helping many why not concentrate on a few and be consistent with quality help not for the internet. Again, hmmm. God bless you for previous support/help. A
ReplyDeleteMoney, rent, furnished house, transport fare, car for taxi business, no school fees, food stuff and provisions is not doing well abi? No wonder ppl lock up and do urgent 2k!
DeletePeople have killed themselves bcos they had no one to help provide even the smallest of these things.
I don't understand what is pushing this family. The pastor didn't kpai ur daughter of blessed memory.
If you think you can do better, kuku relocate with your family
We need to stop this entitlement mentality and make the best of what is given to us. His son boldly rejected a scholarship to an institution in Cotonou and the father is happy to say this. No wonder rich people don't like to help or when they do so, it's from a distance.
ReplyDeleteI don't know much about the OPM pastor, but I can see they want to bind him to the philistines. He should be careful with his charity work lest he casts his pearls before swines.
Make una leave all the Cotonou story, Uniport and some of our local universities are way better than these Cotonou universities.
DeleteWhat if the Dad was to pay the transportation cost from PH to Cotonou?
The man was used to a rather cheaper cost of living in Niger state, but you relocated him to a much more expensive port Harcourt, and people are casually saying he should fend for himself, in an environment he is not used to.
How does a poor man make money from a car that has problems from day 1?.
Hmmmm
ReplyDeleteWhat level of entitlement? Damn!!!! Your idiotic son like you turned down Cotonou scholarship becos it's not Europe. WTH?
ReplyDeleteWhy should he promise one thing in public and bring another thing in private..
DeleteMany people in this clime don't always think with their brains when it concerns a pastor, religious leader or involves religion.. this is why these people scam and commit all sorts of atrocities
As e has rejected Cotono because of Europe whether public or private who will even sponsor in in Nigeria University? Something he would have jumped at so he can graduate and get a job and help his other sibblings.
DeleteNo wonder you were suffering, SMH. You are meant to suffer indeed.
ReplyDeletePls try to build on what has been given you. Be grateful first.
ReplyDeleteCan you get a job sir

DeleteHow many of you still remember my comment on Saturday or was it Sunday?
ReplyDeleteDo you still agree with me why I said Papa OPM isn't a good planner and researcher?
You don't promise people lifetime help in this life. Are you the government? Even the government can't do that self.
This man is getting it all wrong. Pride took over him and this is the result.
I remembered your comment when I saw this post.
DeleteAre you willing to buy a brand new car for this man? Or just sort out his family's food and provisions for this month? Or if nothing else, as a comfy big boy about to marry, kuku close eye and dash him 500k or half your earnings?
DeleteThis is what the pastor you are criticising did and more.
I don't know the chibuzor, but apart from mini estate, he did every other thing as promised.
Maybe this man thought this publicity will result in someone giving him mini estate and European scholarships. If na me I go wonder if this ma no go shout say the mini estate nor dey maitama or that turkey no be Europe and I will stay mu hand from giving
Even otedola can't satisfy such a man.
If you're a good planner, you would have done a feasibility study on a thing before embarking on it. Why promise a European university and reneged? My own isn't about the change of plan by him but why not publicly made it known to people the same way you announced it that it's no longer Europe but Cotonou. So that as it's happening now, it won't be a thing of surprise to us having heard it from you earlier.
DeleteFrom the word get go, always let people know how far you can go with them. Give them startup and a lead way. Don't promise life time help, you're not God.
Too many promises are not good when you can't sustain them.
I bet you, the likes of Oyedepo, Ibiyome, Eneche, Fr. Eden, Fr Mbaka etc are all helping people without broadcasting it and that's the reason you don't see them being dragged online.
What do you expect when you take your kindness online?
Teejay
DeleteYou can never know how far you can go with people. It is impossible. Unforseen circumstances happen especially for a country like Nigeria. Was it not an unforseen circumstance made the Pastor help them?
People make promises and renege but sometimes they try to make it up. OPM Pastor is a good man.

The pastor is a scam
DeleteHow did he want the man to cope in an expensive city such as PH? With his plenty kids, how will he cope with a faulty taxi? Rent was paid for only one year, how will he renew it?
The mini estate, how far?
Nigerians are the easiest to deceive..
ReplyDeleteWhen one jump to form saviour in every treading issues, talking big and all about how he is going to help, a pastor that should know better, is it not easy to know it's scam..
Do you know the grants and support he'll be getting as donations from so many national and international NGOs and organisations for all these publicised help..
It's the same thing your so called activists do too, so they can get donations from international organizations to support them in fighting for human rights..
When they come with cameras or jump into every trending issues, you should know who they are. Don't be deceived
I wish other people that they claimed to help can come out and tell us their own story too.
DeleteImagine how many rich people and organizations would have given him money to support the European education and others.
Mini estate that is still for him, he claimed he gave it to the poor man.
Anon, that one threw me off. He never relinquished the mini estate to them. But the worshippers of pastors above are still arguing and claiming what i can't fathom!
DeleteInternational NGOs in most cases are funded too. They don't give out grant just like that except they have project they need to implement and they need a grassroot NGO for that.
DeleteYou are asked to submit an application for grant if need be or when you see a call for Cv to apply for grant. Please stop spreading false information.

Only few π³π¬get it. They come here and show pics of the good works they are doing and get $ for it. Jesus said when you give let your right hand not know what your left is giving. His motives are suspect in the Cyprus students case and in a Deborah’s family’s case. He intercepted global help that would have reached this family and God is the judge. Do you know how many Christian’s even in the US were moved and how much they were willing to give to e en relocate them? Everyone felt relieved because of what HE SAID he would do not realizing it’s π³π¬ where everyone does what they like. Painting this family as ungrateful is unfair. Oprah gave out 300 brand new cars on her show and was criticized for not paying the taxes on the cars as some recipient could not afford the tax bill. Those are brand new cars. The next set of cars she gave out on her show, she paid the taxes, took correction.
DeletePublicizing that you gave them a block of flats when you only paid a year’s rent to uproot them from their home churches that were looking after them blocked global help which I hope this pastor did not intercept! Btw many of the “don’t help the poor, they get entitled” folks are considered POOR themselves by global developed world standard. If your household of 4/5 people makes less than N5m you too are poor so stop the condescension and hold this pastor accountable for his words so he stops deceiving the world. The boys in Cyprus said something similar too. Many come here to use these situations to raise $ in white churches but won’t give the money to those they used in raising money. Demand accountability from your political and religious leaders & stop taking sides against the weak. God is watching and will judge everyone. There is no “big man” or GO in God ‘s presence
Did they pay these people? I don't even know the OPM man or care to but this entitlement mentality is very disgusting! This is why it's difficult to help people in this life.
ReplyDeleteIs it not this Deborah restaurant I used to pass almost everyday? Very lifeless place! Will you not wake up to cook and start selling on time? People will go there and food is not ready at past 9 or 10 and there are many other ready restaurants around! The pastor now should come and help you cook too? Lazy twats that just wants to spoil somebody's name. You even see someone that gave you car in this Nigeria and you have dirty mouth to say it's not new. You're very mad! How many have you given to people? Is he the cause of your predicament?
People survive with less and these ones are complaining! I don't understand how people just want things to just fall on their laps. Cook, make money, buy ingredients yourselves, fix your car yourself! He has given you a kickstart, what do you want him to do? Continue buying ingredients for you? Abeg abeg
Hmmm...madam Fidel pls be calming down. What do you mean he's not the cause of their predicament? Nawaaah ooh. See the way you're insulting them as if they prayed to suffer what they went through. Learn to control your emotions when handling issues. Not everything that comes to your mind you must type.

How can you say they gave you a car and after a while it developed fault, if it was your own car, won’t you fix it, no
You used it and spoilt it and took it back to him, ha fear God

Yes, I'm a Jehovah's witness. And it also means that I hate ungrateful, lazy people. It irks me to the bone. I won't be caught talking about Happie boys ish because me I don't know anything about that, I only even heard about it recently.
DeleteThis Deborah case, I practically pass that restaurant anytime I'm going somewhere. I'm always wondering why it's so dry, you hardly see someone there. One day I even asked my hair customer, "has this place always been this dead?"... She said that restaurant used to be the most happening place around(the previous owners). That she doesn't know if it's cos "their food is not always ready on time". Me, I was even empathetic. I'm like "abeg life too hard and people fit nor dey buy cos country hard."
That was my own o. And I just ignored this thing like that. Only to read this today! Ahn ahn! Why na? Why speak bad of someone that helped you once?
When bvs are sometimes rude to Stella, especially those that have received help from her sometime, I'm always wondering how someone can be like that. Because if someone does something nice to me, especially when I'm down, I'll be grateful forever. Because nobody, especially strangers, owe you anything in life. If someone went out of their way to be nice to you, please show gratitude!!!
Jesus sef, appreciated the one leper that came back to appreciate him. A whole Jesus! Who be human being?
Sorry I used strong words, but it's cos ingratitude stinks.
Lol. Your reply is contrary to your first sentence
Delete@fidel. Na God go bless you. No wonder our leaders are dealing with us. We are just wicked. What thing I know is that no good or bad deed goes without reward. Any one who thinks it's easy to give should start with his or her family and see how far.
DeleteThis is why I love Fidel
DeleteAbeg who wants to patronize a Hausa woman who practically had all her life's experience in the North? What does she know how to cook apartment from their kind of food over there in the North? You know how these local Hausa people's food tastes. The food may taste good to the Hausas but definitely not to the Sountherners
DeleteShe shouldn't be blamed if her restaurant business doesn't stand. Even the Muslim hausas in P.H can never patronize her because of the stories surrounding their relocation.
Slim Shady, I believe fried yams, plantains, potatoes and akara are prepared the same way all over the country. As it is ehn...this gist is overflogged, Papa OPM, please apply more discretion in who you help going forward and keep the media away.
DeleteDante and T.Jay made common sence in their comments weighing on the recent bruahaha between the man and the other two boys.
ReplyDeleteLet me add that as a philanthropist, if you put somebody inchargre of anywork or project, make sure you supervise them from time to time no matter how much trust you have for the person. People are too selfish, the heart of man is desperately wicked. You pay them hugely as a reward for the work you employed them for and give them enough money for the project but they never get satisfied. They end up buying inferior materials for the work and use the rest money for their personal interest.
Who knows, he might have handed over enough provision for this couple, gave the P.A enough money to buy a good car but the greed in the P.A or whoever was incharge made him to act this wickedly towards this couple, thereby ruining the kind gesture of the person that brought them all the way from Kano down to P.H to give them a good life. Now the shame is on the person with the good intention.
Am just saying, maybe or maybe not, I can't vouch for this pastor. H may have done what he is accused of because I know for a fact that some fake philanthropist can purposely do this kind of act wickedness. You connive with the person you awarded the project to , give them money that can only be enough to buy inferior materials and tell them to manage it. Then they go ahead to take photos and post online and people will be awing and awing here and there; oh, he's a good man... All na wash .Na only people wey dey there go know say those things na fake.
I've seen where a popular pastor awarded scholarship to the poor masses in his church and some wicked assistant pastors embezzled the money. He also gave loan for start up business they also swallowed everything. So it true that some pastors have good intentions but people working with them are the ones eating the money and tainting their image
DeleteAre you a philanthropist?
DeleteHave you disbursed funds repeatedly or supported several people through school or have you set up businesses for them?

DeleteMost of you ewobis that re bashing the pastor can't give out ordinary 500hundred naira in this economy, yet they come here to type nonsense with their hands that Whitlow will soon hold.
Someone set up a business for you and you ruined it down by being unserious, judging by what Fidel wrote up there.
They gave you cutlass and a farm to produce food, whose fault is it if you are too lazy to plough and harvest?
That curse will go back to you dear
DeleteGod bless you KODJO. Jumping up and down shouting scam. How many people have those people shouting scam ever helped. It's easy to castigate People when you don't wear their shoes. If you think giving unconditionally is easy. Try am

That curse is for you and you shall come back when you starts seeing the consequences of going under people's comments to insult them when they weren't talking to you or insulting you in the first place, there are ways to argue like adults without throwing shade at a person whose opinion you don't agree with, since you refuse to ve sense, you gonna learn the hard way .
The curse is for you and you alone. When I made comment I didn't curse you so you made the curse you'll bear it
DeleteReal clout and attention seeking.
ReplyDeleteWhy tell the world that you gave them a mini estate when it was not true? They don't even know what is going on in the estate that was supposed to be their own let alone collect rent.
The brand new car you claimed to buy was a used car with a washed out engine.
The Europe school turned to Cotonou.
What manner of deception is this?
Those of you that don't see anything wrong in this scam , search your conscience.
Those that clam he brought them to PH, is life in PH the same thing as life in Niger State? Cost of living in PH, is it the same thing as PH?
God will judge all fraudulent people.
All the people supporting this fraudulent act shall experience the same thing

ReplyDeleteNa that "where they will never pay rent for ever" dey enter my eyes. How come there rent is due one year later?
You pastor worshippers will not open your eyes to the deceit, why is he fond of jumping on any trending issues and acting the part of the messiah only to leave the "benefactors" high and dry? Make I no just talk sha.
He does all of that in order to gather more funds and donations.
DeleteIt's an ikegwuru situation. See them spilling fire and cursing the family as if they're God.

Mini estate - lies
ReplyDeleteBrand new car- lie
European scholarship-lie
House where they will never pay rent-lie
When will you pastor worhsippers learn to say the truth? Why say A in public and do B in private?
Just rest miss aboki. Brainwashed people are like that. They would rather die covering their pastor rather than saying the truth and shaming the devil and making Jesus proud!
DeleteI can't believe that some people do not see anything wrong in what the pastor did. What are Nigerians like this?
ReplyDeleteVery myopic set of people
DeleteThis isn't right at all, there are better ways to have approached this. On the part of the Church, they shouldn't have told Mr Garba's family the mini estate is theirs when they actually didn't intend to gift it to the family. If the PA isn't giving in to talk to the Pastor on your behalf why not talk to him yourself since according to you he calls often to check on your family, mention the expired rent and plead with him to help you start a trade/business to enable you pay subsequent rent and take care of your family. Tell your son not to despise the days of little beginning, you can't afford school fees now so he should accept the admission in Cotonou, learn French to give him an edge to get employed after graduation in any of their companies or any French speaking country abroad. Yes, OPM failed in two of their promises but never expect the Church to solve your problem π―% cos you are not the only one with problem in Church. As for the person who bought that live snake instead of good used car for Mr Garba, I really pity your life.
ReplyDeleteSo you mean to tell me in that whole church, there is nobody in that whole church there is none doing security work that can be sponsored abroad?
ReplyDeleteThere is none that can be given that car ss taxi, then another a room in that mini estate, them another the restaurant to manage etc etc.
It is only those in the news, most of them entitled lots, that you can help.
Anyway, I've always said the audacity of the poor needs to be studied at PhD level.
Na follow come.
But when you are clout chasing anything you see, take am like that.
Hahaha! Abi! Clout chasing Don jam entitlement!
DeleteHmmmmmm
ReplyDeleteThe earlier you guys realize this pastor is a scam and clout chaser the better for everyone. This is not about “entitlement.” the pastor is fraudulent! You gave them ownership of 14 flats on social media claiming they won’t pay rent but it was all a lie. Everything he promised them on social media was a lie! My pain is he comes and acts like he would take care of everything for clout, real people that want to genuinely help won’t help anymore because they think the pastor got everything covered. What the pastor is doing is very evil.
ReplyDeleteNigeria as a whole is not a bed of roses for the rich and poor anymore. Please, this pastor is only human and is limited in his charity supplies. Can people be grateful for a little kindness? Where were relatives of this family, his state governor or nigeria social services in all of this? Please if anyone does not like this condition, please reach out to them and carry on the charity work
Delete.Thank you.
ππΎππΎππΎ
DeleteIt can also be argued that this bereaved family are also human. They managed to fever for their family of nine without begging and even trained their children to university level. This was a number of failed promises from the pastor and he owes them an apology. His posturing prevented others with means to support from helping this family get back on their feet.
DeleteWhen you people see truth pls say it.All these people are entitled as it is.The man has helped you to get on your feet,he’s not supposed to help you to stand forever. Some people didnt get half of what he has done for these people and they made the best of it.They gave you car, gave you apartment and wanted to send your child to school and you are complaining
ReplyDeleteMention how the pastor helped them to get on their feet? By buying a problem vehicle or renting a house and furnishing it of which they can't claim ownership of any of the property in the rented apartment? It is understandable if Deborah's parents offended him along the line thereby leading to his change of promise made.
DeleteThis man made empty promises. What he made the public believe is far different from what he did in reality. Can't you people see that this man is a pastor and this is not a good example from him?
14:46
DeleteThe house they are staying is not their own. It belongs to the church.
The property in the house is not their own. It belongs to the church.
The car promised publicly was brand new. The car given was 'Nigerian used' with severe engine problems.
A European scholarship was promised in public and Cotonou scholarship offered in private.
They don't own the mini estate I guess.
I don't under the restaurant business...
One thing I learned early in life is to never, ever, ever depend on the promises of humans.
People change like the weather. Life changes like the weather. Accept in gratitude with zero expectations.
Whatever you have not earned with your own hands, is not yours. You can be asked to return a gift, and indeed many people ensure that whatever they give as gifts they recieve the equivalent in gifts...or the equivalent in other ways
I'm sure with the pastors influence, the man can get a job as a driver to one of the members of the church and the wife can be a nanny or home lesson teacher or prepare meals for offices.
Let them put heads together, 7children in this economy....I'm totally 'gobsmacked'.
21:01 and slim shady get it.
DeleteThank you so much to the OPM Pastor for his consistent heart of God.
ReplyDeleteI like the different analysis by mostly takers. Takers are so good at analysis that they fall short in analysing their own lives. Takers believe that it was the money you gave them that affected their lives negatively. They will not include their laziness, their negativity and wickedness.
The facts are;
The Pastor can assist one million people in various degrees. Some he may assist with a whole lot but it is only the determined that will rise and make something out of their lives. When someone sow a seed in your life, it is left for you to take that seed, plant it and let it grow. Don't wait for the seed sower, to cultivate a land, plant the seed, fertilise it, tender to it and also harvest the fruit for you and feed you.
A determined and a hungry person will make something out of it. He will ask himself or herself "what if this helper is not here, what if the giver has more responsibilities? You start diversifying income.
If you question this man very well, you will find out that the car was in good shape. For him to buy a car, pay rent for years and opt to send your children to school then he is someone with a good heart.
Thank you OPM Pastor.
KING XOXO MYSTERY
Is he supposed to cater for them forever? Aren't they supposed to get something doing?
ReplyDeleteNo one asked for forever. People are pointing out that he offered false hope and gave far less than half of what was promised. This family was not begging before this calamity hit them. He should not have further victimized them.
DeleteNo one asked for forever. People are pointing out that he offered false hope and gave far less than half of what was promised. This family was not begging before this calamity hit them. He should not have further victimized them.
DeleteI am speechless, may God punish these ungrateful lots.
ReplyDeleteAnd you too o
Delete7:45, dunno why your comment cracked me upπ
DeleteIf man were God.
DeleteClout chasers, nobody pursued or threatened them in Niger State, they thought they hit free money, who is sending you in Niger, especially when you are in their hometown, where a large number are Christians. Even in Sokoto where it happened, your daughter did not control her mouth and respect the differences that's why
ReplyDeleteFunny you, control her mouth by requesting an academic group that she is part of focus on academics instead of religion. So, you sef fit light pesin wey talk dat kind thing. Na wa for us o!
DeleteBoth sides are wrong. The pastor made false promises and this man is expecting to be looked after forever. He should have made efforts to find work before his rent expired. His children are attending school without fees at least
ReplyDeleteWhat are you guys on about
DeleteThe job was driving the car and he had tried to fix it. He finally cried out and this is what the I’m a helper crowd can come up with
The point is that the pastor broadcasted something to the entire world that he didn’t end up following through on. What he promised ended up being different from what he delivered on. That’s wrong for starters. I do agree that the family has some sense of entitlement but you don’t pluck people from familiar surroundings and drop them in a strange place and expect them to find their own way quickly. You gave him a faulty car, where is he supposed to get the funds to repair the car? You gave them food, which is great. However, they have additional expenses to meet. With the broken down car, the man couldn’t generate any income to fend for the family. It’s a mess all round, TBH. Why say you gave them a mini estate but in reality you didn’t? If he had fulfilled his side of the bargain and they were still complaining, I would have castigated them. The man just needs to forget the promises and move on with his life.
ReplyDelete17:47, ππ you nailed it.
DeleteWhere is the government in all of these? Where is our justice system? Where are our established lawyers who should have sued the school and state for wrongful death pro bono? Where are smart young lawyers who should have realized that this is a career making case and taken it up on a contingency basis? What about the state that should have compensated this family even without litigation?
ReplyDeleteI remember Buhari rewarded that boy that insulted his wife simply because he subtly supported Deborah's killers, may we never see his like in our country again.
OPM made promises that turned out to be false, the family had to change location coupled with their grief to an environment that is new with different culture, language and food. He is now a taxi driver in an area he is unfamiliar with, possibly without gps, how does that work?
OPM may or may not have had good intentions, but please do a proper cost and risk analysis before involving yourself in any traumatic situation, you just might make it worse.
Thank you!!! This is further traumatizing a family that fended for itself before they lost their daughter. Where's the pastor's humanity? Are these the kind of people you use to chase clout?
DeleteNO WONDER PASTORS ARE ALWAYS BANGING WOMEN IN CHURCH SO EASILY..
ReplyDeleteTHEY ARE PRACTICALLY DEMI GODS WHO CAN DO NO WRONG..
THE STORY OF JESU OYINGBO COMES TO MIND..
As in eh see them running like headless chicken to defend a fraud
DeleteNigerians and entitlement are like siamese twins. Someone will ask you for help 100 times, you helped out 99 times and did not help 1 time, you will be judged by the 1 time you did not help.
ReplyDeleteThis is why I refuse to help sometimes. I just luck up. I am sure this man didn't fall from the sky. He has brothers, sisters, cousins, friends and relatives. He should turn to them for help.
I understand all the arguments for and against the involved parties. The lessons to learn are 1. Promise carefully and 2. Regardless, be grateful to your benefactors and not entitled. Times are hard and your 'promiser' can fall on hard times. Pray for your benefactors cos honestly, giving is hard and sustained giving is harder. I judge no one.
ReplyDeleteThat said, Nigerians are so gullible. You really believe someone will give you a whole estate completely without knowing you or you earning it? Haba. That was why MMM easily deceived you people. As long as you're an adult, know that you are responsible for your actions and for what you believe. You're not obligated to accept anyone's help but don't go castigating he who was kind enough to offer. Whenever it sounds too good to be true - always scrutinize, negotiate and decide with wisdom.
Just read the original post of what the pastor promised as shared by a BV above. He never promised a brand new car or an estate, seems it's a flat in an estate he was talking about** I for shock cos that sounded waaaay too good to be true...
DeleteHe promised them ownership of an estate saying they will be collecting rent from there.
