TUESDAY IN HOUSE NEWS

 I hail and salute....

IN HOUSE MEMO
Today feels like Monday because Yesterday was a Public holiday in Germany.....Was Monday work free in the Country you live in?
 Hmmmmmmmm.....

I am still taking my medications but ending today... Thank God oh.......
I had the best seafood okoro ever in Naija and i still feel the taste in my mouth...Really nice but expensive food oh... I rodered for 8 plates of it and the bill was about One hundred and eighteen thousand naira..... was quite shocked but i bone face pay..... Someone referred me and ordered for me and didnt tell me how much it cost, when the food arrived and i heard the price i shock but paid cos i didnt want stress with food... there i was complaining that the hotel food in Ikoyi was too expensive oh....
The minute i tasted the food i stopped complaining...Okro get level na and what i tasted was a PH.D okro, it had crabs, snails, prawns, fish, all fresh..... I will save for it and order lots of it next time i am in Naija again...
Back to my Naija rant.....
Departure Lounge in most International airports is so beautiful, the smell really nice and you will walk past shops and parfum will fill your nostrils, the lights, the beauty.......oh awesome...
I am still having nightmare from the ritual lights at the Lagos international airport, the cockroach smell and the depressing internal look...OMG OMG OMG OMG........Please if you have not visited naija for a while, go with noise mask, eye mask, breathing machine and take what to eat with you in case you eat a lot.......Arrrrgh I hate cockroach so much and will never forget the experience..........

Abeg have a nice day..I am still here and just happy that Subsidy has been removed...we take it from there!

 DIARY OF A PREGNANT MOM

My baby bump is big now and gets in my way but I don't mind at all. My kids are now so extra clingy "gumbody" and It can be hectic at times.
I have two toddlers so you can imagine my life daily...

Our common conversation is "Mummy please carry me or back me" and when I try to explain that mommy can't anymore they start to cry..
I still carry me second around when I can manage but my first is a no go area.
Recently after I explained to him that he is now a big boy and should not be carried around like before, he looked at me with all seriousness and said "but mom I thought the baby is in your stomach, not on your back, so back me please".
I just shook my head in shock, I am doing my best to prepare them for the new addition and even showed them videos about new born so they can be more prepared.

Hopefully the clingyness will reduce when the baby comes, if not I really don’t know what I will do.

You will be fine, things like this have a way of working themselves out... Some toddlers cool down when they the baby, they will be so shocked and think its their new toy...LOL

PINKYS COPRNER

Recently, as you all know, I have been searching for a new apartment. Have gone far looking for a suitable place but all efforts still proved abortive.

Yesterday, which was the day balablu took the mantle of leadership, I decided to move out again in search of apartment. I met one agent and I told him categorically what I needed. He said it's available but I need pay for inspection fee which is 3k and also, I will be the one to foot the transportation fee which I obliged.

There is this recent attitude of these agents, you have to pay them the inspection fee before they can move an inch. I gave him the 3k but sincerely in my heart, I wasn't pleased.

These agents are fond of something, they knows they dont have what you request for but they will collect the inspection fee and either take you to a nasty house or the one that has been rented.

So, yesterday, I had planned myself because I promised never to be treated that way by any agent. When I got to his place and told him what I needed, I made sure I recorded all our conversation without him knowing. we both entered into one Micra and off we went.
Straight to check the house, will you believe that, I wasted over 1500 for cab and bike at the end, this agent was unable to show me any house. We got to a place, I bought cold water so as to get ready because i had planned to get my 3k back from him( cuz it's so annoying). The last place we got to, we were unable to check the house, why? because he wasn't the one in charge and he doesn't even know the agent in charge, so we had to start asking people around there about the agent in charge, thanks to God, we met him and he demanded for inspection fee but I pretended as if I was deaf.

The house sef no good at all because, I had to walk round the compound leaving the two of them to discuss their nonsense and I noticed there was no well let alone borehole, then I went to the agent and told him we should go.That was how we left. As we were getting close to where to ply on bike, I requested for my inspection fee and that was where wahala started. He thought I was joking.

Why will you collect 3k from me when you know you don't have the speculation of what we discussed. It was a terrible case because wify was there too, naso people gather ooo and I was boiling and felt like punching the guy but when I remember say, Life imprisonment dey for murder and like 20years for attempted murder or so, I just compose but I held him so tight with his trousers.( the money wasn't the issue but playing me was just disheartening).

What baffles me most is, the rain began to fall and people left us, I gave my phone to wify and told her to just leave both of us alone which she didn't adhere to, you know women now, she was just telling me to leave the man but I made sure I collected that money under the rain and I was so wet ehn and wify too don suffer under the rain small but I retrieved my money and left him alone.

We got home and another issue started , wify began to lash me with words that I didn't listen to her blablabla, I apologized and that was all.

Na God fit help person from the hands of these hungry agents. Me sef ready to show then shege because I too spend for this inspection fee wey Dem dey ask for.

This Your searching for a house tales is so sad...Are there no good houses in Ibadan or is it that you are requesting in areas where bad , run down houses exists? Maybe you should change your search... cant you search Online?

PLEASE IF YOU ARE ON THIS BLOG and have a house for rent in Ibadan or know where there is a free house please drop a message for pinky or send me a mail with all the details....

FROM TUESDAY SPONTANEOUS POST

Wahala no dey finish. My former beautiful neighbors wife has eloped with another man to start a new family. The new man na young bobo who has never been married. The man could not believe that his assumed innocent and quiet house wife will ever greet another man more or less having the mind to leave him. The man came back few weeks back and saw the house empty.

The lady had parked out with the children, changed her sim. He traced her to her new man's house
in another another State, created serious scene. The lady refused to.follow him instead she asked him to either leave the children or go with them. The lady is an ophan. She was brought up by her aged grandmother.
The old woman cannot do much. The man went back to take his children.
Young infants 5 and 3yrs.. Na the matter we dey solve

Snatch just like that? was she Jazzed or what? ah ah!!!

PLEASE READ THIS

One day a rich man gave a basket full of rotten food to a poor man.
The poor man smiled and left the palace with the basket, ....emptied the basket of it's content and cleaned it,

Put beautiful flowers in it and returned it to the palace and gave it to the rich man.
The rich man was surprised and asked the poor man, "Why "?
" I gave you a basket full of rotten things and you bring it back filled with beautiful flowers. "

The poor man replied the king:
" Every human being gives what is in his heart. "

What is inside you is what you give out. Be kind always.
You don't need to first become rich to be kind, kindness is free! Whether rich or poor ... all can be kind, what you only need is ...

" A RICH HEART "!
Kindness matters......!

    3. @pinky...this your house search don turn to chronicles by itself. Don't you guys have an online platform where houses to let are advertised? They post pictures of the house, location, amenities and price there so you save yourself all this wahala. We have one here in Bayelsa and Porthracourt,it makes it so much easier getting a new apartment. If they don't have something like that in Ibadan, then you have a new business idea for free. Thank me later.

  3. Busy day with work!!! I need a chilled energy drink to refresh body and soul together.

On a shocking news but not surprising, the governor of Kano and Kaduna left a huge debt to their successor in power. While Ganduje of Kano left N250 billion naira after eight years, the governor of Kaduna state left N64 billion naira too after eight years.

You'll be shocked to know about other governors as well.

Yet Peter Obi left N75billion naira with lots of assets to his successor after eight years and these two shameless governors won't stop abusing him given any slightest opportunity they have.

I think if not for the majority of the innocent and good spirited Nigerians, who trooped enmass to see a new order in the Nigerian system by voting Peter Obi, I would have wish and say let Nigerians enjoy their criminal leaders. But I won't say that.

I am to leave for an official training too from the 25th of June. My own issue is transportation!!! I have an Oyster card that was never used from my first and only trip last year cos we couldn't go out at all for the whole week & I hope it is still valid. I wish I have a friend who will be available to take me around this time (I have my money ooo) cos I will waka the hell out of London, God knows. Would love to do "small girl" shopping too, only place i know is Primark. I wish I can get details of places to shop for good things at affordable prices. All the our "online thrift" people, where do they buy from? Are $1 shops in the UK like they have in the America?

  31. TWO NUNS WERE SHOPPING AT A 7-11 STORE. AS THEY PASSED BY THE BEER COOLER, ONE NUN SAID TO THE OTHER, " WOULDN'T A NICE COOL BEER OR TWO TASTE WONDERFUL ON A HOT SUMMER EVENING?"
THE SECOND NUN ANSWERED, "INDEED IT WOULD, SISTER, BUT I WOULD NOT FEEL COMFORTABLE BUYING BEER, SINCE I AM CERTAIN IT WOULD CAUSE A SCENE AT THE CHECKOUT STAND."
"I CAN HANDLE THAT WITHOUT A PROBLEM" THE OTHER NUN REPLIED, AND SHE PICKED UP A SIX-PACK AND HEADED FOR THE CHECK-OUT.
THE CASHIER HAD A SURPRISED LOOK ON HIS FACE WHEN THE TWO NUNS ARRIVED WITH A SIX-PACK OF BEER. "WE USE BEER FOR WASHING OUR HAIR" THE NUN SAID, "BACK AT OUR NUNNERY, WE CALL IT SHAMPOO".
WITHOUT BLINKING AN EYE, THE CASHIER REACHED UNDER THE COUNTER. PULLED OUT A PACKAGE OF PRETZEL STICKS, AND PLACED THEM IN THE BAG WITH THE BEER.

HE THEN LOOKED THE NUN STRAIGHT IN THE EYE, SMILED, AND SAID:

  34. This Is How Confusion Starts.

PBAT said, "Subsidy can no longer justify its ever-increasing costs in the wake of drying resources. We shall instead re-channel the funds into better investment, in public infrastructure, education, health care and jobs that will materially improve the lives of millions."

The media immediately went to town with 'subsidy is gone', and some people, including PBAT supporters, are sharing it in quotation marks attributing that to PBAT.

Reports I'm getting are that some filling stations are already hoarding fuel in anticipation, hoping to sell at higher prices.

The president made general statements in principle to indicate intent on several key issues and areas.

The President can not just remove subsidy just like that and surely not on his inauguration day. Removal of subsidy surely would require some navigation and planning.

Surely, that was not what the president said in his speech, but surely that is the impression that many Nigerians have right now. That is how the confusion starts, and the media team, if not up on its feet, will start running behind it.

Surely, the honeymoon will be short-lived or even non-existent, as some of us anticipated.

The President's media team needs to get its act together and get to work fast.

The herdsmedia and the headless mob of supporters on all fronts have practised and perfected mischief in the last 8 years, and they are at the ready and rearing to go.

    My humble opinion.

On a day like inauguration you should be so careful to ensure that nothing is misrepresented. If you know you dont know how to talk then keep your speeches maximum of 5 lines and everything else should be statement.
First day of office, pandemonium and confusion.
Should you even be discussing fuel subsidy on the day you assume office?
Isn't that supposed to be an opportunity to offer some unifying sort of speech or something. Wo abeg I have enough on my plate as it is.

Then they take you to some house that is not even what you requested for or they take you to the house that they are not even incharge of,they can ask you to peep through the gate and look into the compound,or be calling imaginary person that is in the charge of the house on phone.
some tell you to buy airtime to their phone, laslas they will tell you the person incharge is not around.Dem nor get any house to rent to you.

They live off inspection fee and the tfair that they collect from people looking for house. And even if you are lucky to get any house you like, those agents are now in the habit of collecting 40% agency fee, infact, after you calculate everything, you may end up paying more than half of the house rent itself joined to the real rent.

    3. The 40% is not for agency fees. You should ask them to break it down next time.
20% of the rent is agency fees which goes to all the agents involved. 10% is for the legal fees which goes to the landlord's lawyer, 10% is for damages or caution fees which goes to the landlord, some landlords return the damages fee if you ask while moving out and you didn't damage anything.
Last last, they are the ones that will still get you an apartment, you can't do it alone. So the curses you are heaping on them, you will share with them equally.

    1. My dear most of them are demons. Hungry set of loutish folks always looking for how to conceive and dupe clients of their money. If you are looking for accommodation start 6 months before your rent expire so you are not forced to accept rubbish.
When agent show you a place, go back in the evening when people are back from work and ask questions. Ask LOTS of questions. These agents can rent mortuary to you as you see them so. Phoolish pipul.

  50. I am so sad
My daughter stole fish in school today.
I know things have been really hard for us that we have not had either meat, fish or eggs in months, but is that enough reason for her to do what she did??
I have tried my best to teach her about contentment and i have explained severally that this condition won't last forever but she still went ahead to steal fish. I have cried my eyes out, i am sooo sad and i feel like the worst mother on earth, a failure.
She was beaten in school and given 1 week suspension, i don't even know if i should beat her again. She has been crying since I picked her up.
    I am just so sad

    1. This hurts in a different way. Don't be too hard on yourself, you're not a failed mum, you're doing the best you can. All will be well in no time by God's grace. As for your daughter, please talk to her and also make her realize what she did was wrong. It's well.

Don't forget to talk to God about this. It will end in praise.

    5. Kudos to that school . Must be a small school. This is an advantage of taking your kids to a small school. They discipline kids appropriately.

My kids attend a big school, I'm planning on taking them to a lower level school next session. They pamper kids there, a child will steal, they will flog him a few strokes of cane, send for the parents and report. No suspension. A suspension will make him miss plenty notes and other work, he will feel it more than cane.
They keep stealing my kids stuff in that school.

Let me remove them before they steal one of my kids.

Had a talk with her last night, she said she miss eating fish and meat then she apologized. I didn't beat her, just told her to make sure it doesn't happen again. We are good now and i feel better this morning.

  51. She earned it!!!

    Live within your means,
Work hard and smart for a better future,
Don't be bitter when others win
And pray that God amplifies your result.

  52. Pinky you did well to collect back your money. Those agents are mad, very crazy lots. I was already angry that madam will not let you get back the money but thank God you insisted 😂

My kids are always fighting for my attention. If I'm carrying the eldest, the second one will start crying asking me to drop her and carry him. I keep wondering what will happen when I put to bed.

  53. If a show or movie you like isn't on Netflix, you can request it.
Go to the help center, you can submit up to three titles. If they get the right to stream it, you would be notified via email.

  54. Your comments reeks of bitterness.

It silently screamed that you should be helped instead of her getting the food for that amount.

Yes, you might need help, we all do, but when you think others don't deserve what they get with their own money just because you are in need, it's called bitterness.
