  1. What is Buhari significance to the South Eastern region? A bridge that Easterners will still pay for through toll gate. So what is the whole applaud for?

Why not name it after Goodluck Jonathan who initiated, paid over 60% fund for it and even started it.

I think the South Eastern governors are our greatest problems in that region. They're bunch of disappointment and total failure to the region.

Is there any federal presence in the region? What about the Federal character representation in a country's adminstration?

Even the new Ebonyi airport still have plans by Dave Umahi to name it after Buhari. Aren't this joke taken too far?

    2. Teejay, it's not everything one should complain about. If this will help that traffic that is always on that delta-onitsha bridge, then it's a plus and should be seen as such.

    3. Eka Joy, I didn't condemn the bridge naaa. Pls read my comment again. We're talking about naming here. Even Shehu Sani the Kaduna senator even echoed my thought as well some days back.

The governor of Ebonyi state is evening planning of naming the state newly airport after Buhari. What sort of eye service is that?

In as much as the bridge is encouraging bto curn traffic jam, what we need is seaport so that our people won't stress that much importing there goods into the region. It mustn't be that expensive from Lagos to Onitsha or Aba when we can easily do that through Calabar seaport, Onitsha seaport or even upgrade Port Harcourt to full operational capacity.

This is what the Eastern region needed.

So I know what I'm talking about. Our governors and senators aren't pushing for seaport in the region.

A man was lamenting sometime ago on how he imported goods from China and spent 1.1million to get it into the country. From Lagos to Aba, he spent over 1.8million.

So tell me what is the rational behind the exorbitant hike? Now you see why I am shouting.

Do you know as an Easterner, you must touch down to Lagos or Abuja before flying to Europe or America? Why can't we fly from the East?

When all these abnormally aren't corrected, tell me how then do you want growth in the region?

    4. Teejay can tell some lies that make you wonder.
That bridge was still at an a very elementary stage when GEJ left office 8years ago, is it the same GEJ government that was borrowing to pay salaries (quoting Mrs. Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala who was the Coordinating Minister of the Economy) and owing so much debt that would have paid 60% upfront for a project that was yet to commence? Was this your 60% paid to the contractor or kept in an escrow account?
Anything that makes Buhari or APC look good always gives you guys migraine.

You would probably say they should have named it after Peter Obi

    5. Anon 18:57,

Sorry my bad here. I retract the 60% upfront I initially quoted. Goodluck paid 10billion and kick started it. He even stated that the construction would run for 48months. He would have seen to it's completion if he didn't lose the 2015 election.

He signed the contract already and not as if it was a new project of this adminstration.

    7. Anon 20:24,

It was the PPP according to the arrangement funding 60%. The federal government 20% while the duo of Anambra and Delta state government will both fund 10% each.

I mistook the PPP for Jonathan. So my bad.

    8. Pls blame IBOP for the high cost of transporting goods to the East, some few months someone was ready to pay 2 million for a 35 tons trailer of goods from Zaria to Enugu and no one accepted, it's even now that trailer drivers agree to go to the east, but at a high price, because after offloading especially on weekends they drive away empty on Sundays to the nearest non Eastern state e.g makurdi or Port harcourt as the case maybe . To avoid Monday wahalas

    1. Exactly my point. My grouse is that, it will be tolled. As in toll gate to recover the money used in constructing it. So why then is the applaud if the people will reimburse the government?

    2. Here he is again, hyperventilating with zero knowledge!

Some Roads abroad are tolled!! And of recent, the UK government is planning to generate revenue by tolling some more roads.

    3. tolls are usually meant to raise funds for the maintenance of the roads or bridges, unfortunately our friends and family in the ministry of works go chop the money, as usual

    4. Anon 20:52,

If you're reasonable enough, you will know in the abroad you mentioned, citizens don't applaud the government on what they owe the masses. Only here in Nigeria will praise government giving us road or even water and electricity.

    5. Teejay,

If you will take some personal time to grow yourself intellectually; you will learn to comprehend better.

You alluded to some issues. I drew attention to what obtains in different climes. There's no where in my comments that I stated what you suggested.

Please take your BS to people that have the same level of mental capacity as you.

      Thank you.

  3. @ Teejay, even the bible says the end of a .matter is better than the beginning. Can the started bridge serve anybody if it is not completed? Buhari is bad but don't take away from him the attempt to ensure continuity in government by finishing a lot of project he met on ground. How many governments finish projects by their predecessors? Make we dey hate people but not hate on their achievements pls. Even Yoruba say ibere ko lo nise. Cheers!

    2. Which project he did in the Eastern region or complete aside this bridge? Can you name any pls? Are there any Federal presence in the East? Why are the seaports in the southern region not functioning? What happened to Calabar, Warrior, Port Harcourt etc seaports in the region?

You can build a bridge on river Niger but you can't dredge it to allow ships come through.

      Dey play you hear.

    3. So Teejay, i need you to clearly tell us here that Buhari government DID NOT CONSTRUCT any highway and expressway in the entire South East in the last 8years

  7. Buhari announced yesterday that the Federal Secretariat in Abuja is being named after GEJ, hope Teejay and his ilk will come to tell us that is it is unnecessary and 'eye' service.
