PINKYS CORNER

I'm just confused, don't know if I'm to cry or laugh because my eyes don see shege, na shega banza I no pray for. I have come to the conclusion that, the government should step into this issue of Agent wahala that we upcoming billionaire are facing.

I have been searching, hunting and looking for an apartment ever since but my experience all through last week was something else, am I to talk about the money have spent for okada abi inspection fee? Jesus wey get heaven and earth sef never stress me like the way these agents are making life difficult for themselves.

I met one young agent looking like those old men playing pools(the ones wey their shoe no dey get friction again, dirty clothes and very tattered) but who am I to ignore him as an agent. He told me he has some vacancies some where ooo and I told him what I wanted. Naso we climb bike go the area, when I got there, it was a dilapidated building, I just shake my head then he took me to one again, it was a good place, I asked him to tell me everything about the house and why is the house still empty upon how beautiful it is.

He said the owner never wanted to give it out but he just concluded giving it out. Ok now, we left and asked him about the price which he told me and I requested seeing the owner and we agreed on see him last week Thursday. I paid him his inspection fee 2k and Left, the next day, I went there without telling him to get info about the house, what I heard ehn, my mouth was wide opened ....

I was told, not by a person but severals because I was on that street for over 3hours trying to speak different people. I was told the house has been abandoned because it's filled with badluck and more reason it's cheaper to entice people (170k, two bedroom, tiles and running water available), each tenant that packs in there will go out without nothing provided their life is not lost, another person said, the owner is dead already but alot of bad things which affects tenant's life is in there. I met a young lady who said, the Landlord association has held several meetings inorder to stop the people in charge of the house from giving it out to people because it's becoming a stain to their community. That was how I forgot about that one then moved ahead.

I met another agent and he took me to one old man who then took us to check one house like that, hmmmmm, the rules and regulations of that house is beyond my compression, the owner told me his rules and ask me to think over it , to know if I can go by it or not. The rules:

*Our gate closes by 9pm
*No playing sound of any sort
*No nailing on the walls
*No removal of anything we see when we pack in(then I tend to ask like what but I kept quiet because I don't want to be too forward). I could remember I saw something like a broom with red threads at the top edge of the vacant flat.

*No visitor and if there must be, I should have notify him two weeks before.

As he was saying those things, a call came in for him and he excused himself, not long I heard him praying for the caller. I asked the agent if the man was an herbalist because the prayer is not just a prayer. He said not really but "wan ma pa owoda" if you understand Yoruba very well you will know what that means. Wan pa wat da? Is still same as babalawo now, you don't need polish anything for me.

I was pissed off immediately and waited for him to come back and finish all the yeye rules then I told him I will come back the next day, that was how I left never to return there again. On Thursday, the other agent called to know when I'm coming to pay for that first place I went to, I just block baba. He wants me to pay for my death in advance, haba. I have seen a lot but let me stop here because I have a lot of gist for una.....

Na wah for the stress of trying to get a house..E no easy at all.

FROM SATURDAY PIDGIN POST

''I and Peter started dating when I was what? 16 years old? He was then 19, we were so madly into each other, we were a perfect match and could do anything for another but the problem was:;

Our age, Our religion (their family were Olumba while mine was Apostolic), his parents vowed not to let him marry any lady that is not from their church while my elder sister I grew up with (a Prophetess in Apostolic church) would never want to have an olumba blood in our family,
He is an only son, I am the last female child!

We kept sneaking out to see each other until I left high school, my elder sister returned me to my paternal village far away from the state me and the not were but, dude will still travel to come visit me even the trip needs 4 hours by road, this relationship continued that way until his parents married a 'Virgin' Olumba girl for him and forced him to get her pregnant as fast as possible (then I was already pregnant for him and we made plans to elope but, I don't know what went wrong, both families heard about it and I was taken away from the country entirely to another west African country but, unfortunately, I lost the pregnancy!

Now, he is still married to the Lady, I also have a loving husband with kids but, I can't get Peter off my mind likewise him! Each time I come visiting he makes sure we see each other (don't ask me what happens then.. Lol)

Now, do you think if we both have a chance again to be married I won't jump into it? Would I be considered a side chic OR, the main koko (love per se)? Typing this self is making me feel bad! Abeg, you all should let Camelia be!! That is where she has always belonged in his heart!!

Am happy for her... Mine is Loading!! Can't wait to be called Mrs Peter..
Angry BV

Na wah oh.....

I INTERVIEWED A PERSON WHO HATED ME*

Six years ago a guy looked at me face to face, and boldly told me; "I don't like you!"

I immediately fired a response, I asked him that day; "Thank you for the honest feedback, but those that you like, how has it made their life better? How does your liking people pay their bills or take a bank loan? My brother keep your like, I need God's like And that's what guarantees my future.

ONE day I joined a CEO friend of mine in an interview Panel to recruit some new staff, it was a long session.
As we returned from a coffee break to continue the hectic interview session, here was this same guy walked in with his grey jacket and CV coming for the interview.

Our eyes kissed by fluke, we immediately recognised each other; "the world is indeed spherical", I soliloquized.

He felt very uncomfortable through out the interview, one could clearly see the volcanic eruption ongoing in his whole nervous system, he even mistook his date of birth for his last date of employment.

It wasn't yet my turn to ask him questions so I allowed everyone to take their turns with him and deliberately opted to interview him last.

When it got to my turn, the first thing I said was, "I LIKE YOU so much, you look to me like a brilliant and intelligent person, but it seems you are not doing well now because something bothers you, true?"

"That's very correct Sir!" He responded.

"Ok look at me straight in the eye, I was never offended that day, it is very normal that sometimes as humans you just don't like certain people, but I wasn't bothered either, because whether you liked me or not, it was inconsequential to my life and my success path - as you can see, fate has brought you to my lair"

I stood up and beckoned him to come and embrace me, everyone on the panel at this point were at sea - wondering if we had expeditiously recast an interview session to a Hollywood movie scene.

He hugged me so long and deeply that I felt it. Then I told him, "now get your confidence back bro and answer the questions like a Pro Shark that you are, we all burst into laughter, everyone suddenly liked him and the room became livelier - the interview became more like a discussion, well to cut the long story short, he got the job!

Lessons:

1. Be careful how you treat people when they appear to be in their vulnerable state, your next level may be hanging in their balance; somewhere in the future.

2. If you dislike someone, it is not their fault, it is YOUR FAULT, work on yourself to find good in people and reinvent your Mind to see everyone as likeable.

3. Don't spew hatred vocally just because it came into your heart, you may say it to someone who will keep it forever and use it against you when you find yourself in your own low moments and need them.

4. Learn to forgive, overlook people's dislike and hatred for you, don't punish people just because you have the position and privilege to do so, bless them rather - that's how you court God's blessings, favour and protection.

5. Share this post, someone needs it to heal from their past burdens of unforgiveness they have been carrying which has been hindering their promotions and inhibiting God's blessings flowing their way!

When you understand the power of forgiveness, life will be easier....Forgiving does not mean letting them back in if they were once close..

What if someone snapped them when the crying person was not aware and later sent it to the person ? Is there anyone that would video themselves when crying and then upload it to the Internet?

  1. Don't ever be under the illusion that after wedding, you can change your partner. E go shock you! As una dey date now, if your partner dey display character wey you nor like, and the person is refusing to change, and you still go ahead with the wedding, omoh, na your cross be dat.
The day you take your marriage vows, you are saying ''I DO'' to the totality of the person...
What you can't tolerate while dating, will almost certainly not get better after marriage. Look before you leap.💯
NB: Some can be good before, and bad after marriage. May you not encounter those ones ooo. 🙏

  37. People, pls secure your apartments. Thieves now jump the fence and enter people's houses to steal when everyone has gone to work and the neighborhood is quiet. On Friday afternoon, two generators were stolen from a compound that has a fence and locked gate.
The four tenants had gone to work and the compound was empty. The theives went to the backyard and scaled the fence to get into the compound but they could not enter inside the apartments because of the heavy metal doors and strong keys which will take them a long time to break and gain access. They settled for the two generators in the generator room in the compound. The other two tenants use solar. This was the second incident of burglary in my area in two months.

  43. Pinky sorry about the stress. It seems it is more difficult searching for an apartment in Lagos, Ibadan and a few other states than in some others. Here in Ilorin, it is not that stressful to get an apartment compared to Lagos where we once lived.

I left my phone to charge in the sitting room without fear that they will take it and play games and not allow it to charge. My dearest phone was charged full without disruption.

At your sign out post Stella, exactly what i do. Even i walk pass them, I say hello and move past. But then, most people feel you're keeping malice with them.

Someone like me, I draw the boundary between us. I have forgiven you but the closeness and opportunity for you to hurt me won't be there

  50. I love the sign out meme. Forgiving a painful hurt is really tough but its possible. Though very hard to forget but We can do it.
House Agents, especially in the western part of Nigeria are something else. Besides, the foundation of any apartment really speaks, either good or bad. One has to be very careful

    1. Pinky no worry, this time last year I was house hunting in the UK and I saw sege promax too hey God thank you ooo. I was homeless for 3 months ontop this house issue.

But in the end God did it for me He gave me a beautiful house with my own driveway and garden, I moved from a 2bed flat to a 2bed house and I swear it still feels like I’m living in a mansion. There is no one that steps in my house that don’t say my house is beautiful but I need to buy a new tv mine smashed when moving so I’m saving up to buy one, I may wait till Black Friday, I used the last Black Friday to buy a sofa.

But the God that did it for me will surely do it for you in Jesus name AMEN!

The interview post is very insightful.

Mr Peter's side chick, pls face your marriage and leave somebody's husband alone.

Pinky, sorry. You should try and go to all these big agents with good office, they may tell you to fill a form and pay 5k but they will get you a nice place. I'm speaking from my experience. It's better than paying 2k to ten hungry agents and not getting anything.

I never knew my boss makes suits too. We are making three trouser suits for a female bank executive.
Sewing is stressful especially if you want it to have neat finishings but the neater your work, the higher your price.
I think I prefer ready to wear pieces than these high end ones. Those ones move well and have good profit especially if you can market well. The big big clothes ehn, you may use one week to make only one and they don't come all the time. I'm still studying to know which to go for sha.

  66. Pinky, you see house hunting eh, it can mess up someone's head/mind. I remembered when we were looking for an apartment and they gave us 2 months. Reason- the landlord son wants to use the apartment as he wanna marry. I just handed everything to God when the time was fast going.
God will provide good house for you.

It is the water in bamboo that makes it able to bend without breaking, and it is the toughness in you that makes you grow through affliction. Hardship may traduce you, but never let it reduce you! 84. For the poster that wants to be Mrs peter, you know in life when we have all God has blest us with unknowingly we LL be looking back / outside as in ojukokoro things.
You mean you want to leave your loving husband and children to marry your childhood sweetheart it will so shock you that it's not the way it is, let me gist my ex boyfriend called me as at Oct we LL talk and you know wish things were different with us, just calls ,checking in via messages ,calls and video calls.you need to see him professing his love how he married not so a good woman ,I ll advice you know cos I told him yes I love you ,we re both married with kids we can't change the hand's of time, na so we talk o one week he no call i text and face front , he now called back with his voice of so me and you is dragging who will call each other Omo I was like see this one o, my husband never talk to me like that I just told him my mind and wave it off, do you know that he did not call for one month as he ghosted me I trust myself I lock up. He called again thinking I will be at his feet I told him oga I don't operate at that level know your square root ,he cut the call so poster you see , you ll think you it's all bed and roses till you give up your good home, husband, children.
You want to be like Camilla I pray it favors you , but I pray that may I not give birth to children and abandon them to chase shadows and a leave an innocent man who loved me in a quest to be with the past
