Governor Nasir El-Rufai of Kaduna State has dispelled the rumours of him jostling to become Chief of Staff to President-elect, Sen. Bola Ahmed Tinubu. El-Rufai stated this in Gombe on Saturday while addressing newsmen.


Jeffrey Guterman, a retired American mental health counselor, on Saturday disclosed that the Federal Bureau of Intelligence (FBI) dismissed the application he made seeking the release of a file containing information about President-elect Bola Tinubu.

 President-elect Bola Tinubu has congratulated King Charles III on his coronation as the King of England, saying he looks forward to working with the monarch. The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) has arrested 14 suspected internet fraudsters at Rumuekini axis of Port Harcourt. The EFCC spokesperson, Wilson Uwujaren, said in a statement that they were arrested on Friday during a sting operation in Port Harcourt.

 The leadership of Academic Staff Union of Colleges of Agriculture (ASUCA) says it will do everything within the law to resist injustice meted out to its members over their exclusion in the recent 40% pay increase to those on CONPSS salary structure. The union in a press statement issued in Lafia, by its National President Dr. Peter Aboki called on the government to rescind the decision and include its members in the 40% increase.

. Kaduna State chapter of the Labour Party (LP) has disassociated itself from what it called counterfeit group of the Labour Party led by Lamidi Apapa as the National Chairman of the party. In a communique issued shortly after an emergency meeting of the State Executive Council (SEC) yesterday, the Kaduna State leadership of the party said the Apapa-led group is an agent of destabilisation.

Some youths suspected to be cultists on Saturday overran Sagamu, the headquarters of Sagamu Local Government School, Ogun State, killing three persons. The hoodlums, who were said to be members of the Eiye and Aiye confraternities, renewed their supremacy battle, throwing caution to the wind.
