Friendship is an important relationship throughout a person’s life span and when you claim to be someone’s friend, then be that friend when they need you to be one.

I met Blacky during service year and she introduced me to Yellow so we all rolled together. Blacky claims to be Yellow’s bestie but whenever that one tells her something she spreads it, so Yellow runs to me.

Yellow was planning a party and she carried Blacky and I along during the preparation. I got there a day before to help. Yellow called Blacky and she said she was on her way then later her phone was not going through. She later called that she would show up early in the morning, but she didn’t show up.

Turns out her show stopping dress didn’t arrive the day before and she also wanted to makeup and show up in grand style, so she never had the intention of coming to help all along.

Yellow and I were too busy to hear her, she looked like the celebrant and to think she was the one that picked out the material Yellow used.

The jollof was inside a takeout pack because we served a lot of finger foods and drinks. Time to share takeout and Blacky came to help so I was pleased because the stress was too much. As I was coming out with some batches I saw Blacky beside her car and I looked at the tables she was supposed to serve and it was half empty, I smiled.

She kept going to her car to drop stuff until the close of the party and I also noticed she didn’t lock the car so I told Yellow’s sister to take a basin or bag and empty the contents of the car while I distracted her.

She said her goodbyes with plenty smiles and air kisses while I laughed wickedly. I watched her stay long in the car then she came out, stopped and got back in LOL

I told Yellow and she wanted to call her immediately, but I said no need she should have asked for those things and taken it as a friend.

Who will she report this robbery to now? LOL
