  1. Even though!
Because they were arrested or they 'fought' for democracy, they believe when they do trash now, their past glory should exonerate them..

Same with Bala blu, the same democracy they 'fought' for is what they're scattering and doing the same thing they fought against, but somehow still feeling entitled to power and want their past glory to remain..

I get am before no be property ✌️

    1. Fought for what democracy?

      A true democrat won't make the below statement;

''Power is not served a la carte. Fight for it! Grab it! Snatch it! Run with it!''

      And so it was.

    2. What has Sowore done against democracy? Tribalists are usually the first to scream tribalism. He was the ONLY youth in the race, the only non-corrupt anti-establishment candidate who has much more understanding of the issues facing Nigeria than the others but the ethnic & ignorant youth propelled winds drove a former 8-year governor’s narrative of a change agent! Yes Tinubu fought for the actualization of MKO’s June 12 ACTUAL not phantom win but became anti democratic with his godfather like selection of candidates for positions in areas he controlled but Sowore? There is too much ethnically disguised ignorance emanating from bitterness during the last election leading to insults on folks like Nobel winner Prof Soyinka, Sowore etc. PO has zero record of fighting for anybody’s civil or democratic rights until he had to fight for himself. Allergy to truth is not a valid allergy.

  4. You can not be an activist and at the same time a politician. It can't work that way and that is why I stopped taking Sowore serious and will always respect the likes of Aisha Yesefu and the few others on the struggle.

One thing I noticed about this people is that, they usually started well but always deviate along the line.

Same way with Festus Keyamo who also was imprisoned years ago.

Today, you can see what has become of Festus Keyamo.

When I watched and listened to Keyamo threatened on a live broadcast that from henceforth, it will be propaganda for propaganda, I shook my head in shame and disbelief.

It's so painful to watch Festus Keyamo these days as well. He was a leading light and star years ago.

I mean an erudite lawyer, bold and blessed to have work under a great man Gani Fawhemi.

Keyamo, head and shoulders above his peers.

What really happened to you Keyamo?

The boy that you were, the young man that went to work for Gani, would be ashamed of the man that you have become..

    So sad and shameful....😖

Everybody has a stain except their champion, who was busy hustling for money when others were fighting for democracy. He is now the new emancipator of Nigeria.

    6. Barack Obama WAS a community organizer AND activist before going into politics. What he saw among the poor blacks on the south side of Chicago, the use of asbestos and its effects on the health of poor black folks were some of the reasons he went into politics. Read “Dreams from my father” and “The Audacity of Hope” both by President Obama written before he got into the White House. What irks me is that ignorant people have taken over the Nigerian information landscape, ignorant goverment and rulers, ignorant noisy followers pushing false half baked uninformed narratives. Who says you can’t be an activist and a politician? It’s not a good thing.

    7. If my memory serves me right. Nelson Mandela was an activist, Fidel Castro too.
      Second base jare.
I might not have voted for Sowore but the people commenting should be specific about the wrongs committed by Sowore.
Oh, i get it now, he has committed the cardinal sin of criticising Saint Peter Obi

    8. Anon 18:11,

When Barack Obama went into politics, did he still see himself or refer to himself as an activist?

That's the problem with Sowore. He should choose one and focus on it.

Today he's a politician. Tomorrow he's an activist shouting revolution with an orange baret worn on his head along side his comrades.

No naaa. Things aren't done that way.

You don't just become an activist when politics doesn't favour you.

I repeat again, activist usually starts well but once they get into politics, they join the status quo.

There's one Harrison I know for an activist. I heard he's going into politics. I don't know how true is that but I'm afraid, if it's true, he's likely gonna lose his credence over the people.

Everyone can't be a politician. There's a great need for activist to keep politicians on their toes.

      Anon 18:03,

But my principal H.E Peter Obi threw an open challenge to you all, even his contestant by telling them to dig up any ugly past about him and he will give up his Presidential aspiration.

Did any of you bring any evidence? Why? Cos there was none.

Who in Nigeria has ever thrown such a challenge before? Tell me just one please.

Peter Obi will always tell you and his enemies, GO AND VERIFY. Has anyone ever verified and came back with a different thing?

Now you see why a lot of us are sticking our necks for him.

    9. Anon 18:25,

No, Mandela and Fidel Castro weren't activist. There's a huge difference between human activist and freedom fighter.

While activist are fighting for a better governance and the welfare of the people, freedom fighters are fighting for an independent colony.

      Mandela was a freedom fighter.

    13. Dainty T and Co,

Why are you people making me look stupid with this question after I already stated it above in the comment before this one?

Okay let me give it out how Wikipedia rightly puts it.

An activist is a person who campaigns to bring about political or social change.

An activist is someone who is active in campaigning for change, normally on political or social issues. Activism is what activists do, that is, the methods they use in order to bring about change.

      While,

A freedom fighter is a person engaged in a resistance movement against what they believe to be an oppressive and illegitimate government.

A freedom fighter is a person who thinks their native ethnic group is not free, and is working to have freedom for their group. Most often this means that a freedom fighter wants their people to have own nation and independence and/or get rid of oppressors. People who think like this are said to think in a nationalist way.
Freedom fighter is a relativistic term - this means a person decides by his or her point of view if he call some persons or groups freedom fighters or not. Freedom fighter is a positive term - this means that he or she calls a person "freedom fighter" only if he or she supports the goals of the freedom fighter. If people do not support his goals, they probably use more negative terms like insurgent, terrorist, rebel or criminal.

Freedom fighters are often called terrorists by their opponents if they hurt civilians. However, not all freedom fighters hurt civilians. Some freedom fighters damage the opposing military. Some freedom fighters damage property - this is called sabotage. There are also freedom fighters who do not use violence at all. For example, the Mahatma Gandhi and the Dalai Lama.

    15. Please read more about the Apartheid struggles of the ANC & the likes of Mandela, Steve Biko, etc. ANC’s Nelson Mandela WAS an activist as well as a freedom fighter at a point. He later became the president of South Africa. Who is a freedom fighter in today’s Nigeria? We have few civil rights activists like Soyinka. PO & his followers are not known to be civil rights activists. I’m not talking of folks that need more YouTube views or support their boyfriend’s party!
As to PO’s challenge on evidence of his corruption, maybe some do not use Google. Look from his days working under the worst “Kleptomaniac” in modern history, Abacha to when he was governor of a still backward state. Which “clean’ person sets up his “Gabriella investments”, four years into his 8 year governorship term with fake directors spanning British virgin Island to 3 other countries! What is he hiding? You never allowed those who had questions on him to voice out those concerns on SM with curses & toxicity so they kept quiet but everyone who cares to search online about PO’s career will see he looted like the rest of them. Google is your friend not what he says about “bring evidence of my corruption”. 600 journalists from over a dozen countries went through 12million pages of documents, they already answered that question.

Territorial envy, aggression, insults & empty boasts will not allow SA style “truth & reconciliation”. The talk of being “richer” or being the economic backbone of Lagos or Nigeria is fallacy. Trading in fake drugs, used clothes, substandard electronics etc destroyed the economy by placing a strain on $ rather than local manufacturing that was already taking place in Lagos-Ibadan axis before the flooding with traders. Car batteries were being made in Ibadan as far as 40 yrs ago. Traders & goverment SAP killed Exide factory, VW, Peugeot,Leyland were who were making cars & trucks, Elizade was about to start Toyotas! American greyhound buses once plied interstate transportation in Nigeria!

Traders helped kill industrialization with their lack of patriotism. We would have integrated those factories & gone into local manufacturing but your greed with cheap imports! Oba Akran, Ilupeju, etc in Lagos, Oluyole estate, Akobo/Exide, Leyland motors in Ibadan , Thermocool fridge, Sango otta industrial estate etc were hubs for good jobs in manufacturing. Desperate traders with no sense of patriotism & zero knowledge of economics destroyed it. It’s not only the government that destroyed Nigeria. I was at the top in a multinational Corp making a global brand that died because these folks went to tell the Chinese to put 10% material in it over 25 years ago! They then flooded the market, (you can’t price 10% ingredient at the price of 100%), the European owners had to shut down the factory that was servicing the entire West Africa up to 23 years ago! Oba Akran & Town planning in ilupeju among others were bustling with serious manufacturing years ago with good jobs not “one man business jobs” Ikeja, Agege Motor Road, Dopemu etc had many global corporations manufacturing and providing middle class jobs! Same in Ibadan, even Ile Oluji in Ondo had a Timber processing factory (NIROWI or so) for furniture makers! Then the “I must get money anyhow desperados” were unleashed on Lagos & the SW! Those shouting “we are the richest” crowd need to think deeper & educate themselves.

Dora of NAFDAC was persecuted by crooked traders from her own ethnicity for wanting standard medications for the nation. In what country on earth do fake drug traders or “patent medicine dealers” hold the nation to ransom like they do in Nigeria just to make money? .. get rich or kill others while trying is the mantra!
If it looks like everyone dislikes you, then you need some introspection. Those that destroyed the progress of the SW now claims to be the “richest” because they engage in $ depleting tactical rather than strategic economic activities. You destroyed the economy for short term gains & claim to have built it? Really?

    1. How did he perform as a Governor? Did he not ban protests and strikes as a governor even though he led countless of them as an 'activist'? This is what TJ is trying to say and people are arguing with him.
PS: I am not TJ, I just don't have stamina to join the argument up there but this example supports his points.
