Professor Of Law Itse Sagay Explains Why 2023 Presidential Election Is The Best Nigeria Ever Had

Professor of Law Itse Sagay, SAN, has said that Bola Ahmed Tinubu won the presidential election due to three factors.

Sagay on Sunday during a Channels Television interview monitored by Daily Post said youths criticising the polls are ill-experienced in Nigeria’s elections.

According to him, the February 25 presidential election is credible.
Sagay also declared that those claiming electoral manipulations do not have evidence to show.
“Most people who commented on the election are probably the youths who have not witnessed many elections in the history of Nigeria. This is the best election we have ever had, particularly those conducted by politicians.

“I believe this election was controlled by ethnicity, religion and capacity to organise. If you look at the results carefully, the man who performed credibly across the board is Bola Ahmed Tinubu.

“There is no evidence of manipulation as claimed. Can you imagine Tinubu losing in Lagos State? That shows you the extent of credibility of the polls,” he said.

    1. Zaram so going by this ur analogy, shall we be safe to say that Obi paid Chimamanda heavily to write what she wrote? Infact if Tinubu paid heavy, Obi paid heavier because, if Chimamanda collected money, then it has to be in USD for her to be able to spend it.

The point i am trying to make is, allow people say things the way they see them, that is democracy, but according to ur democratic process, anybody that doesn’t align with ur principles, was heavily paid. Remember, other candidates would always always also have their supporters. If everybody in Nigeria became an obidient then there would never be the need for an election.

Lastly, in every situation, remember, when u point 1 finger, the remaining 4 are pointing back at you. If you say they bribed their supporters, they can also say u all were bribed, which will pain u the most cos u know u were not, except if u truly were.
      I come in peace.

    5. 10:06, thank you. I'm personally glad Nigeria escaped the cultism of this toxic movement that dismisses and demeans everyone who doesn't agree with them.

I read the comments under papa Apapa's interview on channels and I realized that these unhinged and uninformed mob of airheads would have been worse than the Buharideens that are now facing their expiration date. For a man that built the party when Obi was building himself to be so ridiculed because he was trying to save a party in legal limbo from the hold of perjurers who will definitely go the way of Okupe, is just unfortunate.

Of course, since the credibility of the party does not butter his bread, your dear leader is silent, leaving serious issues of criminality to underlings and warning these men who are trying to clean up his vehicle of choice, that his court case is more important than the truly stolen mandate of fellow party members.

These are not democrats but despots failing in their pretence. I advice Obi to manage the mad mob that has swelled his numbers or he will find that he had formed a terrorist group looking to cancel him one day. These people are divorced from reason.

    6. @1006 and 1639 I don't know how to express how elated I am to know that people like you still leave comments here and just maybe, on other blog sphere, not just for the sound reasoning free from bias and interlaced with very constructive criticism, but in the candor and very articulate way you express yourselves. Bravo!
It will even be more interesting if both or either of you are females. I'm a man by the way.

  4. An objective analysis of the election (devoid of sentiments) reveals that LP couldn't have won the elections, no doubt Peter Obi had his massive followership, but National elections are called National for a reason, you need a fairly national spread, it's not by being popular in a section or with a certain group, religion or tribe.
    .
You certainly can't be the most popular everywhere but there has to be that national spread.

Some people will not be in agreement with me on this but that is the beauty of democracy, each man has a right to his opinion. Express yours without any insults.
What any serious party should be doing now is to do an objective analysis of the last election, a SWOT analysis helps you plan very well for 2027, my 10kobo.

Planning for the next elections starts NOW.

    1. They would tell you he didn’t win in Kano and Sokoto and katsina because the election was rigged. Meanwhile, when you do a SWOT analysis of all the surrounding circumstances of this particular election, u would know that Obi didn’t stand a chance in Kano when Kwankwaso was there, just like Kwankwaso didn’t stand a chance in Anambra when Obi was there.

When the results from the SE started trickling in, Teejay was alrdy congratulating Obi, i clearly remember my comment, i told them not to forget the 25% rule, Eka Joy straight up told me to eat my corn in peace, even after i clearly said in my comment that i didn’t have a favourite and for very personal reasons, i didn’t even vote.

In some states in the NW and NE, LP didn’t even have a campaign office, they didn’t have other candidates for other positions like governor. So how on earth would anybody say Obi won in the North? You don’t just win an election by cleaning ur zone ONLY. But many of them do not know the 25% rule in the 2/3 of the country.

    2. 11:41, don't bother yourself. They are in too deep. They are saturated with all the propaganda. The vegan vickings amongst them who can afford the trip will soon invade the national assembly.

  6. Make i just dey laugh, we say we are in a multi-party democracy, but you guys expect the over 200 million of us Nigerians to support LP and no one else.
In your analogy, the only good, honest and patriotic Nigerians are the people supporting Peter Obi

    Shameless old men..
Their generation messed up the country, the youth are trying to make it right, they are still shamelessly fighting to bury it.

The Profs are the worse.. government that'll owe you salaries and you'll all go on strike for months, you'll still come out to defend them and help them rig elections..

I don't know what some of you have in your heads in place of brains..

Just see the international embarrassment one man is causing the country.. Uberfact tweeted last night about his drug case.. Uberfact that has over 13million followers..

What a big disgrace and embarrassment..

You'll stay fighting local media from talking, whereas the main embarrassment is coming from International media..

    God forbid senseless old men

    1. Don’t you think you are the disgrace and embarrassment here. These men have lived and succeeded in all facets and areas of life. Ask yourself, what are you leaving behind? Trolling women son SDK? Noisemaking and blabbing? Use your time way and leave your Obidient bigotry and bluffing. The ship has sailed away long before you guys were born. Snack on that.

    2. Sorry@12:41
Some of the old men are leaving disgrace behind while some are leaving decades of legacies. A man can wipe out years of goodwill by a minute of Freudian slip he continues to insist as a the fact.

    3. Do you think the unreading unlearned mob, whose contribution to history is online picketing, would value the antecedents of people like Prof Sagay? It's pearl before swine. It's no wonder those who voted for Atiku and Tinubu headed to the polls without bothering to argue with such white noise. As the elders say, they have accepted a form of madness with their new religion.
