Have you ever gone to a neighbourhood garage sale hoping to find a bargain? To the untrained eye, much of the stuff looks like rubbish. It may even have been gathering dust and mildew in somebody's loft. But the trained eye sees treasure in disguise; items that just need to be cleaned, polished and restored in order to become valuable again.
That's what God does with us. When Satan tells you you're worthless, God looks inside you and sees hidden treasure. When you make Jesus the Lord of your life, he enables you to overcome your past, resist temptation, conquer bad habits, rise above your self-imposed limitations and realise that, in God's eyes, you have great worth. You actually start believing what he said: 'You are precious...in my sight' (Isaiah 43:4 NIV). The truth is, when you keep putting yourself down, you may gravitate towards people who do the same. But once you begin to realise the value God places on you, your entire outlook changes.
With God, you can't lose. Even when you stumble, he will help you to get back up, become stronger and wiser, and move on to victory. When you see yourself only as somebody who makes mistakes and falls short, you're looking in the wrong mirror. Once you start to see yourself in the mirror of God's word, you see someone who is being transformed day by day into the likeness of Jesus (see 2 Corinthians 3:18). And that's how God sees you today.

My husband and I went to get stuff at a store within our estate. I saw my ex(varsity boyfriend), he saw me too and turned away. As we were going to the car, he walked up and greeted me I answered politely, he wanted to get into small talk, I told him we are in a hurry to get home, he said I was his babe before o, that I should create time for catch up, I was shocked, I entered the car, hubby was looking visibly pissed, and asked why that man was behaving like a child and must he let the world know he dated me before? We drove home. A week later we bumped into the ex at a pharmacy, he began the over familiarity again, I told him to simmer down that I'm now married, he said "and so". I angrily left the pharmacy and deliberately shoved into his shoulder, I can't engage him publicly coz he's been childish. Another day I saw him with a woman as I was jogging, I guessed it was his wife, she was ringed. He ignored me so I decided to return the favour. I said "Bra***** you no greet me today because madam is with you? " The lady turned, I smiled widely and said "madam tell your husband to avoid me, tell him to stop harassing me", then I jogged away. That was the last time he spoke to me, we bump into each other every now and then because we happen to live in the same estate. Hubby noticed that he doesn't greet me again whenever we bump into each other and asked "Una don quarrel?" Lol.

I remember when an ex too was acting hurt because I ignored him. Telling me his position in my life was more than an ordinary friend even though he was an ex( this was someone I did not even kiss) he was expecting special treatment and acknowledgement. I made him regret that statement and he always avoided me since then.
When you see an ex be polite, don't embarrass yourself by saying to people around you, "meet my girlfriend that time" you don't matter anymore. Some guys do this when they see their exes again. Have sense.
