DIARY OF A PREGNANT MOM

I have been having serious food aversion, been unable to eat cos everything makes me nauseous.

I could only take maltina drink and was drinking six bottles per day after 3 days my urine started to burn so I knew I had to stop. what gives me relief now is ice cubes.
Everyone asked how I can keep the ice in my mouth for that long, nibbling away but it’s not cold in my mouth, I don’t know how to explain it. It relieves the nausea.

Recently, like for a week or two I have been craving white amala with gbegiri soup( abula) from a particular restaurant in Ibadan called Oju irin.
The thing is I don’t stay in Ibadan, it would take a five to six hours round trip to get me this amala from where I stay and no one is willing to take the risk for me.

I can literally smell and taste the food and when I think about it, it makes me want to cry, the other alternative I have is two hours away, I can still manage that one but nobody dey look my side.
I would have gone myself but I know If I do the stress of getting the food before eating it. I won’t be able to eat it again.

The one that is two hours away offered to deliver and claim they can get it to me in an hour but the delivery fees is triple the cost of the food but that’s not the issue.

I don’t trust them to serve and deliver the soup the way I want. Plenty gbegiri, small ewedu no stew ,the little stew on the fish and meat is okay.

It has to be carried carefully so that it doesn’t mix together unless I go hold person pikin.
That is my major cravings for the week and if I ever get to eat it , I will bring update.....

Na wah.....I was practically smelling goat meat with body odour and amala with gbegiri that i used to eat from Amala joint in Surulere...Kaiiiii

When i was pregnant i used to be able to eat only okoro soup.any other thing gave me heart burn...Just Okro soup eaten without swallow oh.... It was horrible for me cos cooking with pregnancy gets tiring sometimes (me wey no kuku like to cook sef)....
Cant you tellthem to pack the stew, ewedu and gbegiri in different packs so that when you get it, you can mix yourself? How much is it sef?

INSIDE THE MIND OF A MAN GOING THROUGH FATHERHOOD

When I had only two kids who were below 4yrs old, an older area friend told me about a piece of land up for sale at a good price of 500k, it was not too far from where we lived. I told my wife and she said we should buy it but I told her that the place was far inside and also a bit swampy, that I would love to buy land in a well developed place when I have enough money.

This area friend kept disturbing me to buy the land, he told me that it is easier for me to buy properties when my kids are still little and their school fees and other things are not expensive. My second child had not even started school then sef, the one that was in school, I was paying less than 20k for everything per term and I was earning well.

Poor me refused to buy the land or any other land, let alone build any room anywhere. I was later transferred to another state.
Fast forward to now, 7yrs after, from my findings, a plot of land in that area is now from 4.5 million

I now bite my fingers whenever I remember because now, those two kids of mine are older and school fees are higher, their food consumption too is higher, infact their everything is higher and that my former good job is gone. No good job in sight and all my savings gone too, nothing left. To make matters worse, a third child was added shortly before my good job flew away.

Now, tell me that it is not only a miracle that would make me buy a land or build one room.
Don't make the mistake that I made, buy that land today!

WOW.... if only you had known!

  3. COPIED* COPIED*

    Who will save Nigeria?

Why is the executive not obeying court orders regarding the cashless policy? What a government that revels in the suffering of her people?
How can two people be more powerful than over two million Nigerians? Are we that helpless? Is civil society crippled that it can not even mutter a word?
People are dying everyday regarding this cashless policy. People cannot get medication; market women no longer receive transfers because the banks would debit the customer and not credit the seller; transfers don't go easily because network is bad; you cannot buy food if you don't have cash; even fuel stations will make you wait until your transfer is through before you are served.
People die as a result of thinking where the next one thousand Naira for the family will come from; you transferred money to your child in school and still wonders how he or she is going to feed, because she/he could not access cash. Are we not all done for?!
We cannot continue like this. I think NBA should rise up for the people. Let them storm the courts with suits of contempt against the president and the governor of Central Bank, who have both become mute to the plight of the people and especially to court orders. Our most favoured SANs are jeering up to defend mandates here and there, they seem to be far removed from the infirmities of the masses. Methinks, as they are doing that, cases of contempt of court should be slammed on the outgoing government parri pasu. Otherwise, the incoming government would have a whole lot of issues to contend with, rather than concentrating on good governance.
The policy which was intended against politicians was ill-conceived; ill-timed and deeply thoughtless. I wonder who the economists or advisers are in a country where there is absolutely no infrastructure for that.
This government has forgotten that bulk of politicians money is not in Naira. They have converted to USD, pounds and CF Francs, a smatter move that has made them richer in hard currencies. They have also forgotten that politicians could easily connive with bankers, at a mouth watering percentage, to get the little Naira notes that the CBN has to push to the market.
In a country where corruption is at every stratum, people find opportunities to get rich and bankers are not letting that go.
Who will save Nigeria from the grip of these vampires? If civil society and the NBA or individuals will not, then let us call on God who will. Shikenna!

    1. You claim that 200 million Nigerians are not powerless but are still waiting for a handful of SANS who are running their business (chambers) and have to make payroll to suspend their jobs to fight your cause.

What would be the result? To obtain another court judgement that the Emefiele you were praising, thinking the policy would help your candidate, or his bus Buhari would simply ignore.

  5. 9 Important Key Points by Peter Obi on Today's Arise TV Interview.

    ● ON Tinubu and if tinubu has contacted him:

No. We have not had any contact.
I respect the apc presidential candidate bola tinubu. He is an elder brother or even a father.
I have nothing against him. What I am challenging is the process that declared him. It is wrong. It is not correct. It will be corrected.

    ● Peter Obi on lagos LP candidate GRV:

The LP candidate in lagos remains the best candidate.
He is a true and thorough lagosian, from a family well known.
His age, education and background is not contestable.
    I support GRV 100%.

●PO on INEC disobeying court orders on BVAS inspection:

We will go to the court to ensure enforcement and we will stage protests to their offices nationwide.

●PO on ethnicity war by haters and votes in Lagos state:
How many Igbos live in Lagos? I got more votes from indigenes in Lagos than those you can call visitors"

●PO on talks about GRV not having government experience:

When I contested for anambra state governor, I was about the same age. I had no experience with government.
The experience they talk about is the experience of embezelling funds and fraudulent practices. GRV is a young man with capabilities. I support GRV 100%.

●Peter obi on Aisha declaration for Apga Enugu candidate:

Not all OBIDIENTS are labour party members. OBIDIENTS cuts across all fares and parties of the nation.
They have rights to make their choice. But as a party we have a candidate in enugu state.

PO on partnership with other political parties for gubernatorial elections:

We do not have partnership with any political party. But where we see a good candidate , we can give our support. Like in cross river state. The PDP candidate is a good one.

●Peter obi on letter writing governor Soludo:

Soludo remains my respected elder brother and governor. He is a professor and I am a trader. We both have different ways of reasoning.

I pray for him . We will remain family.

●Peter Obi, on the fake news that he was a member of "better Nigeria " a group that supported the annulment of 93 presidential election:

I don't know where that came from. At that time, I lived in England, and had nothing to do with politics. Never even voted at that time. It is lies carried around by those who do not want the good of Nigeria.
    ---------------------------------------------------------

On another news, INEC Finally Grants Peter Obi Access to Inspect Election Materials To Forestall Planned Nationwide Protest.

  24. Good afternoon Stella and BVs. Hope you're good.

On 1st December 2022, a dear Bv in America called me and ordered for my food products and some other foods that I don't sell. She sent good money to me, hundreds of dollars for this purpose, shipping and also gift my family.
So, this shopping company she contacted DTWINZ CARGO SERVICES gave a date for their Christmas shopping and she directed me to them. I spoke with their Abuja agent Mariam Bisola and she told me that the items would get to my customer in the US in 10-15 working days. I was happy and told my dear BV friend. I was in Aba at the time visiting my parents but had to rush back to Abuja to hasten the production and meet the shipping deadline.

On 9th of December, at around 4pm I carried the items to their Utako office. The very rude Mariam girl did not let me rest as she was calling from 12pm that they were about to take off from Abuja to Lagos. Even when I got their she didn't even let me take pictures of the items in their office. She was in so much hurry. I paid #170,200 for the total cost (5,000 per kg) that's including the cost of taking it to Lagos for takeoff. I followed her to where the so called driver was waiting at Jabi park and it turned out to be all these kpako night bus. There, I saw other people's packages too and I nearly wept at how they were handled. I felt a pang of regret but then it was too late. It will be over soon, I said. She I it's just 10-15 working days. By my calculations, the items will get to Washington before Christmas.

  32. After 15 working days, I called the agent. She said ah ma, she'll soon get it, it's not yet 15 days.
After Christmas, I called again and she said ah ma, it's not our fault nau bla bla bla, calm down and listen to me. Wow! One thing about that girl is that she has a way of insulting you while still respecting you. I changed it for her.
Meanwhile, they texted my the receiver of the package on the 19th of December that the items had landed at Amsterdam. Oya send it nau, MBA.

Brethren, without wasting your time with details of my battle with these crooks, the packages arrived at her doorstep last week Thursday. After three months! The two Ziploc bags of blended egusi was spoilt and was trashed immediately, one Ziploc pack of prawn missing and if you see how they packed it in the dirty carton, the yam flour contents spilled on the beans flour. I nearly shed tears when I saw on video. Something I'd carefully arranged.

Please be careful people. I'm very sure that those packages were sent through ship cargo but these thieves collected flight money. No compensation, concrete reason or genuine explanation and apology. DTWINZ CARGO SERVICES, e no go better for una.

They left only items that were not useful to them. A yoruba couple own the shipping agency, I was toldit was in Nigeria. My remaining stuff in storage in the US, my expensive suitcases, are still in storage! Thank God I refuse to ship those ones. I wonder why Nigerians are so rude, dishonest and greedy! Imagine the british CEO at Seplat that they deported, because the man refused to accommodate their bribery and correct practices; you can't go and impose a fulani dunce on a company's board of a private company now.

    6. Contd: Nigeria must get it right, no more wuruwuru! That's I interviewed for top positions for the Nigerian banks, the yoruba management there kept sabotaging themselves! I told one of their EDs that you can't be wasting my time, with unnecessary interviews, telling me to give you strategy how, I will do job; I told them, when you employ me,I will use the strategy on the job,as two top banks don first pick my brain, with give us a plan to acquire customers! I now work with foreign professional banks! The way fulani destroyed the public sector in Nigeria with nepotism and tribalism; same way the yoruba has destroyed the corporate sector with tribalism.
The fulani is beating them in their own game, all top management positions now in Banks, they want it.
God has come quickly for our President PGO,so he can restructure ,make everybody go their region go misbehave with their own resources. Enough is enough.

  33. fatherhood you did not tell lies at all, my friend then deceived us into paying some money to her aunt's account who will help us get land close to her area. My people that is how our money was gone till date, we kept on asking how far but nothing came up. At some point, we gave up and let it be.

The money we paid was for two separate lands. Foolish me i did not go out to check for the land but trusted my friend blindly. If you see any good land please make sure the land is for the person selling it. Alot of people are fraudulent when it comes to land.

    1. Your story and that of the poster are different.
Poster was telling us to make hay while the sun rise while yours is about scammers . I guess comprehension isn't that difficult.

    2. 16:32 pls allow her. Her story is not out of place, it is still about land. You all should let people breathe here pls.

Fatherhood...a friend called me on Wednesday night.
In Olokanla, somewhere beside Petrochem filling station in Ibeju Lekki Lagos, some plots of land were going for N19m in 2018, she and hubby used the money to buy a Jeep, her twin sister and hubby bought 2plots all at cornerpiece and maintained her small Opel hatchback car and the hubby's Toyota Yaris. In 2023, the same land is for N29.5m. hahahahahahaha. Lady be talking and crying at the same time.
Jeep they bought is old and a bit dilapidated. No value sort of.
See eh,in real estate...DONT WAIT TO BUY. BUY TO WAIT. It appreciates like....
(Hope she doesn't see this). Haha

Stella.. I just did 30 pressups without a pause,if you don't believe me GO TO COURT.
    Duuh!
