''Do you know that I attended Basket Mouth's wedding when all these things were going on at the time, I was at the wedding, they looked at the list of guests, wife's name was on the list, my name no dey list. I wasn't qualified to enter the wedding.
I was looking at my wife, my wife dey look her husband and she was like okay, let's be going home since you no qualify to enter.
So quite a lot happened. So when you keep quiet and you don't say anything; the only time I will now address it with that tweet, everybody came for me. Nobody knows what and what I have been going through.
It's so bad that, sometimes, my name will be removed from an event: If AY is in, I'm not in'. Basket will be at an event, maybe AY is on the Bill, he won't introduce me if he's the MC. I will just go and pick my mic on the floor and
go and do my thing. It was that bad.
But I never gave up. Every opportunity - maybe the wife gives birth, I'd go with my own wife or maybe something is going on -I kept doing everything.
"Long story short, one day Basket was in the club with a glass of drink so I walked up to my guy. I said: 'Bright Okpocha. (He's my senior colleague but my junior in real life),how far my guy.
So we got talking. So I said to my friend, You see God has blessed us. You have a house in Lekki, I have a house. You have a child, I have a child, God has blessed us. This thing that happened in 2006, guy drop am.
And my dear colleague looked at me eye ball to eye ball and said: I'm a beast, I don't forgive."

You first did it by forwarding a private email he sent to you to the client he called names. Next you tell everyone he has superiority comple, now is an epistle of how you tried to reconnect and he refused to forgive you. Friendship no be by force. Na everyone wey wan be your friend you don accept? Na your type dey claim friend in order to know what the other person is up to and either steal their idea or block it. Shebi you tried to steal his client, how far?

How do you lose your thinking capacity because you were broke? Did you have to copy everyone in? You were messy and BM has every right to be careful with you. That messiness is inside of you and forget say you get money today, e go still commot inside another scenario. Learn the lesson, grow and move on.

Basket mouth Sir, Remember that you have been unconditionally forgiven. Recall God’s grace toward you, and the price paid for your forgiveness. By refusing to show mercy to AY, you’re like the man Jesus said was forgiven an enormous debt, yet was unwilling to forgive another man’s paltry indebtedness to him (See Matthew 18:23-34). The grace God has extended to you leaves you no grounds whatsoever to refuse the same grace to the one who hurt you.

Until you have tested betrayal you will not understand Basketmouth pain. He might have even forgiven AY but the trust is broken like an egg and he cannot truly relate with him on the level they were before.
ReplyDeleteI have experienced this situation where someone betrays you real bad and goes around saying they have apologized, making you look like an unforgiving person.
Nigerians don't understand that someone can have forgiven you and still cannot be close to you again.
If Basketmouth has been calling AY for shows and AY has been turning up, that means Basketmouth has been paying. This one time delay and AY fucked things up by forwarding a private conversation. Now Nigerians are accusing Basketmouth as a bad person that does not pay people that work for him. People like AY, I fear them. They will hurt you and still play the victim.
