  3. Stella do you know fellow Nigerias bully dark skin girls?

I was in the bus yesterday and the driver said ‘aunty you’re very beautiful’, I said thank you sir and the guy in front shouted, ‘I prefer fair girls’. He said that repeatedly like 3x as if to spite me but I’m grateful I didn’t respond.

Imagine if I had low self esteem or didn’t love myself, is that not enough to reason bleaching?

    2. Don't mind the ewu my sister.
Black is classy, highly classy. Wear it with dignity and respect. Take care of it, polish it, use the best natural products for dark skins, follow your fellow proud Melanated ladies on all socials.

Shine baby, shine! Take up space!

    3. You should have asked him how his preference concerns you. Then noted that you prefer attractive guys but aren’t shouting it in his face even though he doesn’t fit the requirements and that we all have our own preferences. I’m sure he wouldn’t have liked that. You should try to clap back when dealing with idiots such as these. Might make him think twice before trying the next person.

    6. I was very light skinned from birth, Do you know how much I have been trolled and bullied since birth till now by kids and adult. Kids calling me udara and some Anyiri, Yorubas joined and started calling me afi and all sorts, mind you I’m not albino just light skinned. Even teachers are not left out. When I grew up and could think what all these hating is all about when I didn’t create myself, grown up girls joined and always make it a point to tell me how my skin color saved me from being ugly cos I can see some of them joined the bleaching gang and can no longer tell me how unwanted my color is. Several guys too have made it a point to tell me how they prefer dark skinned women and dark is the best. Light skinned women get as much hate as dark skinned women, as a matter of fact, dark skinned women degrade light skinned women more because of their color.

  9. Hi Stella I love what you do on this blog and have followed you since at least 2012. I love how you stick to your guns and call out folks who err. Wondering if it’s possible to consider decreasing the comments regarding folks skin? Eg if you post a picture of a celeb .. can talk about how they glow.. or look pretty without specifying anything related to their color wether dark or light skinned? Seems there’s a growing trend where young ladies feel their complexion isn’t glowing .. or has become “dirty”.. or is getting darker? Would love all women to be comfortable in their skin wether dark or brown, or light skinned wether it’s dusty or not .. even though that’s not a real thing and made up in folks mind .
