A heavily pregnant woman in Kasuwan Magani, Kajuru Local Government Area of Kaduna State reportedly lost her life due to the unavailability of the new naira notes in banks.
James Auta, the deceased’s husband, said his wife was rejected by the hospital when he could not make payment due to cash crunch.
All this death news is affecting my mental health ðŸ˜ðŸ˜ðŸ˜ðŸ˜ðŸ˜
ReplyDeleteCould it be the hospital don't accept transfer? I believe hospitals have POS machine. Or this one refused transfer.
ReplyDeleteVery sad indeed.
Nigerians should start bracing up for this cashless banking. I believe it should be the very best thing that will happen to the people.
May God rest her soul.
Nigerian banks are not ready for cashless policy. Their Network system is down most times during the daytime since this naira issues started. Making a transfer is war!
DeleteThis is sad. I thought of transfers but what if she does not have the banking app and all of that?
ReplyDeleteEven if you have banking app sef the network sometimes can frustrate someone but the hospital should have attended to her seeing her condition then after treatment they can hold her till they settle their bills.... please they should put the necessary measures before thinking of this their cashless economy, you transfer money it will take days sometimes before the person sees it or is it everybody in the market that should have POS? May her soul rest in peace
DeleteWhat about USSD? This kind of excuse should not be coming up, Nigeria government nor send una oooo.
DeleteUSSD nonsense! It rarely works. You can try it.
DeleteAnon 13:25 may God have mercy on you, with this network issue? Were one can only do online transactions at night?. You think everyone has bank acc or do online transactions?
DeleteLives must be lost in this country. Seems they like making sacrifices of people. RIP to the lady. Nigeria happened to her
ReplyDeleteOMG! What a sad story! May her soul rest in peace.
ReplyDeleteMy God ðŸ˜. Lord please come to our help.
ReplyDeleteLord have Mercy ooo...
ReplyDeletePathetic
ReplyDeleteRIP to the woman
ReplyDeletePls if you are pregnant and almost due, start keeping raw cash by all means pls. On delivery day, transfer can fail, even POS machine is not 100% reliable, your bank network may not be available and this will not make POS to work. Most hospitals will not attend to you until you drop a certain amount.
this is not fair at all, most hospitals will say pay 60/40 % of cash and transfer.
ReplyDeletechai! may her soul rest in peace.
ReplyDeleteWhat a great country...
ReplyDeleteA good example of a beautiful nonsense
This is so sad ðŸ˜ðŸ˜, may God help us in this country.
ReplyDeleteSeriously?
ReplyDeleteI thought some people said this ill-timed policy was targeted at politicians as if they need naira to but votes? Some people even said we should endure the pains until after the elections? You see this country, we deserve the kind of leaders we have! Until we all lower our tolerance level for leadership failures and poor governance, we will continue to make excuses for bad leadership! Rest in Peace, Mrs Auta. This time, CBN Governor, Godwin Emefiele and his team of jokers failed you!
