    1. Nancy showed breast, RMD squeezed and touch the boobs😁 Nigerian actors are more daring. I like😁

    2. 15:59, that was not Nancy's breast and that was not RMD touching breast

    1. This series made me feel so good as I’ve felt kinda guilty for years not being able to appreciate a lot of Nollywood products. It was amazing!!! The writing was ghetto poetry, Chidi was a beast and ate his role; bones and all. Not enough space for the praises so I’ll skip to the criticisms.
Some scenes started to drag from episode 4 onwards and I felt Ini Edo was overacting in a lot of her scenes.

  3. Excellent acting
    Everyone brought their A game
Chidi mokeme scar, collect your flowers 💐
    Shalewa and Jackie
Ini and Nse,I love their ibibio

If scar body wasn't found, does that mean their will be season 2

And who sent the VN from Jackie's phone.

    1. That VN is very confusing. Was she recording it and press sent as her head was being chopped off?? God abeg!
      Or someone else sent it?

There's definitely season 2 cos that last last part where they showed Regina Daniels and Toyin and one other person's face that we didn't see. Scar has to be in it because what is that whole movie without Scar?😭

      Delete
    2. she was about sending a vn when scar came

      Delete
    3. Jackie was calling Shalewa when she was stranded as scar showed up, so let’s assume she must have started a VN to her before she dropped her phone

      Delete
    4. That's true o, whi hit send on the VN after she died? Guess they didn't think to cover up that part.
There's likely going to be a part 2, with toyin appearing at the end like that, plus they will want to focus on madam governor's atrocities.
@Fidel scar Don die nau, they will find another villain.

    5. Is it that Nigerians don't know what a Voice Mail VM is? Why is everyone saying VN when apparently it was a VM she left since she was already calling her friend before Scar got there. When you set up voicemail on your network, anyone can leave you a voice message as soon as the call is not picked up. Usually a prompt would ask you to leave your message after the beep and anything after that beep would be automatically recorded and sent to the receiver of the call.

  4. I have seen this. For the standard of a nollywood movie, it was really good even though I believe the last episode could have been better. Mercy Eke particularly impressed me, dunno why I was expecting rubbish acting from her.

I am not very sure about Peter Okoye as Femi, I would have preferred someone else in that role. The acting didn't really do it for me. But I have no idea how he was able to mask his igbo accent. I could barely hear it. I was actually wondering how he'd pull off a yoruba character with his igbo accent.

Zuby's role in the movie was so minimal that I was shocked, I really thought he'd be given a more prominent role.

Chidi Mokeme finished work sha. Like, finished work and left nothing else. And then RMD ehn, that guy is too good sha.

    2. Shanty Town is all it should be. Nice one! As for the lewd scenes, what is expected from a Shanty Town as depicted? It made the story come alive and more real. Argue with your keypads. If it was too much then why continue watching? What do you think prostitutes and pimps go through? It should however have an age limit and a warning so that those who don't want to watch it can keep off. The action and acting wasn't perfect, but it was way way better than what is obtainable in run of the mill Nollywood. Nice production overall.

    3. Chidi and Ini were my best. Chidi finished work!

    4. 17:21 best believe it's those that complain about the nude scenes the most that will watch that scene over and over again.

  5. This is the best Nigerian movie/series, I have ever watched. Like, the acting was so natural, no over acting. I felt like I was there life

Mercy Eke over tried, everyone did fantastic well. Not a fan of Nigerian movie, but this one is amazing

So, they auction girls for big men? Chio... I pray it should just be a movie please, it doesn't happen in real life. I'm still on it. Fantastic movie. Fantastic

    1. You pray it should just be a movie?😂 Movies are just eye openers, the truth is usually too much to handle. But don't be scared, lots of imagination goes into movie production as well.

    2. It happens in real life, only that the politicians in real life are more coded, plus they won't go for 'shanty' class, they'll do higher class/escort level babes.

  6. Nice movie...I loved d Ibibio from ini n nse. They finish work... Chidi mokemi is too much . I was scared Wen I saw his role. But he totally owned it. RMD was just der for me. That role was a rugged role . .some1 tough....mercy tried . .Nice movie...It's a Yes for me.

It's a 6/10 for me sha. And it's cos of Chidi Mokeme😍... Bodied his role, ate it and left no crumbs😭
Nse is such a great actress, I can't say this enough. I want to learn Ibibio cos of Nse and Ini... Only that the language does not sound learnable. Very bouncy😍

  10. Saw it last night. The actors played out their roles very well. Especially Chidi Mokeme, his character sent shivers of fear down my spine.

Though I don’t really like the movie, was too raw, violent and sort of overly razz for me.

Such exposure of drug use has negative effects on addicts in process of rehabilitation and hence I don’t think should be encouraged in movies.
That last fighting in abandoned factory was over stretched and bored me.

    1. @overly razz You hear 'shanty' what were you expecting?
      Banana Island?
Or is that people don't even know the many of 'shanty'?
They probably think it is a name like Festac. Buahahahahahahaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa

  12. Well packed movie. Even though raw but well delivered. Mercy you did a good job. Chidi still looking for words you left no stones unturned. Ini great job you have outdone even the dons I swear.

  13. The movie was nice but too bloody. Chidi was most performing artists for me.

    ReplyDelete
  14. Everyone played their role beautifully well. A great comeback it was for Chidi.... He murdered his role💯. Nse is an Artist undoubtedly, I can never blink at any movie she is in.
The part that got me laughing uncontrollably was when Chidi was recounting Nancy's debt unpaid. I was like "when this kind debt Wan finish". This movie was an eye opener to what prostitutes in the ghetto go through and we saw that a lot of these girls do not find pleasure in such things as they are desperate for their Freedom. Again, we see why some killings cannot be traced especially when it is linked to these wicked politicians. Lagos is a big city with big atrocities.
    A good Movie in all.

  15. I felt proud of Nollywood while watching it. Didn't like the fight scenes in the uncompleted building though. But, damn. They did much better than some foreign movies I've seen jare. Chidi deserves an award. RMD is an icon. Nse, Nancy, Mercy, Ini.... Well done. Even Peter tried for a non-actor.

  16. Nice movie..kudos to Nollywood!

  17. My favourites were Nse, and Nancy baby! Love them both. I was shocked that Nancy would bear her body, that girl’s got class. But I saw her post on IG that it was a body double. And it all made sense. When I saw the boobs I was like WHAT!! And then the hand that touched it, I said: RMD cannot do this!

RMD and Chidi nailed it. RMD went really nasty with the whole Ini scene! Overall a good movie. Not for children though.

And Mercy Eke did well too. First time seeing her act.

The bottom line is that the movie depicts issues that plague our country. When will these things be corrected? When are we all going to come together to fix this country??

    1. It was obviously a body double. If you observe the editing in that scene, you'd know that wasn't Nancy's body. Those that are berating her for that scene are just ignorant.

  18. For movie wey come out from Niger abeg Dem over try! Kudos to all the cast and crew

  19. Seeing all these previews, can't wait to watch this movie.

  20. I didn't like it. I think the performances were great but I felt the story wasn't original. It felt like a copy and paste Hollywood series. Like the writers were inspired by the repressed memory of Hollywood stuff they've seen just added Yoruba, Ibibio, Pidgin and Igbo.
Then abeg na only me dey feel the series series dey sub balablu?
