    2. Don't do it. There is a reason he hasn't proposed. Either be patient and try to find out how he really feels, or keep it moving rather than waste time. Is he Nigerian? They hardly appreciate a woman who proposes. They tag her desperate.

    3. If you must, please do it inside
      Please
If you feel he is on the same page with you, do it
But a Nigerian man that hasn’t proposed to you is probably not interested in proposing to you. Men do not play hard to get, same way they do not break up with you. If they want you it will show, if they don’t they will delay you until you get sense and leave

  4. Good luck
After the proposal please come and gist us the outcome

  5. Don't try it if your man is not mature enough to process it.

I like the fact that you want to take charge but this smells of desperation. Even if you dare to propose to him, why even think of doing it openly?

There are ways you can let him know that you are ready for marriage if you truly think he's the one for you. You guys can have a heart to heart talk about your futures. Talk about getting married this year and how think you guys should go about it.

Again, you might think you guys are perfect together, when he might think otherwise.
Good luck to you as you try.

  9. You don't need to propose to your boyfriend. Ask him what his plans are concerning relationship. Be blunt and watch his reaction. See what Fancy is going through! Don't play the man's role for your own good.

  10. The play ehhen just the play, why will you go down on one knee? Just lie down, say Migwo and tell him what you want to say, narrative changer well done.

And there is nothing wrong with that.
She does not represent every woman in the world.
Just like every rapist does not represent every man.

  12. Hmm, my hand no dey o. Why are you desperate? Well if it is God leading you then go ahead.

  13. Aww poster you sound so in love, which is so beautiful cause love is wonderful. Please dont allow your love to make you impatient that you do something you may regret, even if your guys says yes, there is something about letting your hubby take the lead when it comes to these matters. I would encourage you to be patient, let him take the lead, nothing wrong with expressing your love to him and letting him know you cannot wait to be married to him, but let him be the one to propose to you and ask for your hand in marriage. All the best.

  14. Poster abeg no go do public proposal o, just do private proposal, you and him , so that in case he dash you breakfast then you go cry in private.

  16. Why do it in the first place? You will only come off as desperate. Why change the order of things just because you feel "this is the perfect season"? Please DON'T DO IT. What if he isn't ready to settle down? Are you gonna force him to?

So after you do this and he sheepishly says yes, what next? You will "take charge" again and decide when it is time for you guys to have children?

Aunty, please, zukwanuike! Don't put yourself in an uncomfortable situation. Let him know you are ready for marriage but allow him ask for your hand in marriage. The Bible wasn't mistaken when it said, "HE who FINDS a wife" and not SHE who finds a husband.

    I rest my case!

  17. You want to propose to a man? here in Africa? Lmao 😂😂😂
Pls poster, have a conversation with your partner indoor, expressing your feelings. But pls for your pride's sake, allow him to propose to you himself. Goodluck!

  18. From the actions, body language, conversations and more, you can know when a man wants you for keeps;thats marriage..and also if he just wants to play around with you,get sex and just move on..

Marriage is not what a man can hide, except true love and feelings are not there.
If he is not acting like marriage with you is next on his list, then it isn't..

A man in love that wishes to marry you as a lady is even more scared/Worried of losing you than you as a woman is scared of losing him..so his actions towards marriage with you will align and not hidden..

However you are an adult, ask him what the next steps are for you both, let him state categorically and let his words match his actions so far, then you finalise within yourself if staying or moving on is worth it for you..

In all, please don't propose to him..give yourself at least a sense of value;this is Nigeria and that screams "DESPERATE".

Any man who knows what he wants will tell you in very clear terms.

So you are on the sane page with him and you don't entertain other men's advances.

  23. I would suggest you have a heart-to-heart talk about getting married. Except if an open proposal mean so much to you, I would rather you sit him down and have a marriage talk.

    ReplyDelete
  24. In my very humble opinion, please don't, at least not yet.
You can start by having a heart to heart talk with him. May be you guys go out on a date, you ask him questions directly about the future of you two and what plans he has. If you are sure the feeling is mutual there's no point cutting through the corners, get direct with your questions and find out what his thoughts are.
From the response you'll know if you're dating yourself or not. I appreciate your courage but don't go doing something that might just haunt you afterwards.
    All the best!

    ReplyDelete
  25. Here i will speak for myself,I can't do it.bring it as a joke first and know his reactions then from there you can tell if he is the type that will tell people that you forced him into marriage.

  26. Give us update, just incase you do it. Naturally it's not wise to disrupt the flow of nature. If a guy is attracted to you, he'd ask you out, if he loves you, he'd marry you. Hopefully you have money to fund the wedding since you are jumping the gun.

    ReplyDelete

    1. The guy might even love her enough to want to marry her but might not be ready just yet.

Finance, mental state, emotional maturity, family issues and lot more are some of the major things some guy’s really like to settle first before entering marriage. If these things continue disturbing/stressing him after marriage the wife might just end up having a loveless/unhappy husband.

Ladies should please take it easy with this marriage thing. No be play o. Hmmm

  27. do it indoor since you want to change the narrative but remember the bible said he who find a wife, has find a good thing and obtain favour from the lord.

How sure are you that your bf want to marry you, he may be keeping you for just sleeping while he is planning who to marry in the new year.

Please why don't you ask your bf way forward for you both and hear his response. You can also claim that you watch a movie where the gf proposed to her bf and the guy said yes. Ask him what is his take, with this you will know if he will accept you or not. If he is a naija guy please do not ask him. Walk away if you feel you are wasting your time with him.

  28. Poster, have you ever watched this TV program on dstv channel 'he said yes'. It’s a Kenya program where a woman plan on proposing to her man. She would buy the ring, plan the location
(It can be a garden or in-house thingy) and decorate it, go down on one knee and propose to her man. It usually went well but I am always embarrassed on their behalf o.
I wont advice you to do such weird thing but if you feel that's what's best for you, you can go ahead.
You can watch the program so you have more knowledge to go about the whole process.

    ReplyDelete
  29. Doesn't sound like a good idea to me.
Even if he marries you, he may use it against you and always remind you that you practically begged him to marry you. Unless your man is VERY MATURE-MINDED; if not he will surely use this your proposal to taunt and insult you anytime you guys have problems in that marriage.

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. Not may use, he will use it against her constantly .

    2. He will remind her every Eke market day. How he pitied her and married her. How he married under pressure.
Blah blah blah.. you are seeing how marriages are collapsing like houses built with fresh sand, you are there choking head because you are afraid of what people will say to you as a single woman. Nigerian man for that matter, that his common sense is wrapped around his penis?
      I pity you.

  31. Please men are hunters, there is a sense of fulfillment they feel when they go after a woman, and conquer other men and end up winning that woman’s heart. Don’t cheapen urself. If you propose, he might say yes, but put it at the end of ur mind that he would definitely go after a lady that would let him do the chase. In all, don’t emasculate ur man.

Please don't do it,it's giving desperation and uncertainty. If he isn't showing any sign of marrying you soon, better scamper and make yourself available for a man with the same vision as you.You don't cajole a man to get married, maka regrets o.

    ReplyDelete
  33. Do it but indoors. Whatever be the answer will tell you where you stand in the relationship. This is a New year, no time to waste time.

    ReplyDelete
  34. Please don't try it, if he is really into you, he should propose first.

  35. Hmm!!! Not a good idea oo, but if you most do it, please propose to him indoors poster.

  36. Ladies proposing to men is not African thing, majority of typical Nigerian men are not matured enough for this as they usually tag it as the lady being desperate to get married.
Do it indoor so the embarrassment won't be much.

    ReplyDelete
  41. I mean why can't you just have a sincere conversation with him to know his stand. Let it not be you are over doing things and dating yourself.

    ReplyDelete
  42. Won't advise you to do it, sis. He might one say something like 'besides you're the one that begged me to marry you.' That's a see finish you would want to avoid in your marriage. There are subtle ways to go about these things.
