  1. depression is not something one plan about, may God never allow us to get to that point in life.

    1. Just like sickness, the moment you start having weird thoughts seek help. Depression is something you can't wish away.
Prayer does wonders but seek help.

  3. Feeling down is not depression. Some days are good. Some days are bad. It is called life. We have replaced hardship with depression. Going through hard times is very difficult and that shouldn't be misconstrued as Depression. Who is happy all the time? Sadness is a normal emotion too

    2. Anon, you are missing the point about depression. There are many reasons for depression it can be just anything. Illness, divorce, financial hardship, unemployment etc. So hardship in this time is even the no one cause of depression. The only thing is people differ in terms of endurance. Only the strong and courageous are able to rise above difficult situations and those who can't become depressed. Does that make them weak? I don't think so that's why every parent must equip their kids/kid early in life with social/emotional skills e.g contendedness, true value of who they are etc. beyond just giving them education because in this day and age mental education is very salient. Jo.

  5. Here you go dear, Nigerians live in absolute denial.
I don't know if I should attach it to over religiousness or being strong willed. Whichever way, depression is real and the earlier we accept it and seek help, the better for all of us.

    2. Over religiousness? More like lack of fear of God. When one prefers to live reckless or subscribe to 'woke' (anti-scriptural) beliefs, why won't depression be the next port of call?

  6. Same here but I don’t think mine is depression, just tired of unsuccessful business ventures like people hardly patronize me and I’m into real estate
