INSIDE THE MIND OF A MAN GOING THROUGH FATHERHOOD

Do you ever get that feeling that your children are avoiding your company when it is time for family movies?

I couldn't shake the thoughts especially when the sitting room becomes empty within twenty minutes after daddy steps in to partake of their movie...Sebi they were the ones that chose the film, why are they leaving it for me.

Well, I became Santa daddy decided to play detective during our shopping trip.
I told them ''Girls, pick anything from the shelve for yourselves (but it must be only one item sha)''. Now that I have wet the ground, my people come and read/hear honest conversations:
Dad: why do you girls always abscond from the living room when we are watching TV?
D1: Daddy you are such a spoil fun with movies.
Me: how?
D2: question master number 1, who is this person, where are they going in the film, is he gonna die, hian! I thought you said this other actor has been killed etc
Me: mogbe‍♂️(so I cannot ask questions when all your characters look alike in the Korean movies ba)
D1: chai! That one is even manageable, you will now start to advise us about the actors behavior, as if we are bad children
Me:(ehen, I don't want you to copy bad things na)
D1: ..but it is scripted, and it is entertainment, it is not that serious dad.
Me: Hhmm (in my mind eh, if I slap your mouth).

D2: simple mistake someone will make later at home, dad you and mom will now start yabbing somebody that it is only film we know, so so film no book, so we usually leave the living room before we will hear our life history.

Chai, I no blame this children o, they have finish me (na the gift when I allow dem take naim pain me small).

Hahahahahahahahahahaha i get the same treatment from the Bambinos, if i go in when they are watching a movie they pause it and wait for me to finish but i already know why so i torture them a little and then leave...hehehehehehehehe

Parents: Be watchful

My barber's shop is just a throw stone to my house. His shop is attached to the main building. The house is a face me I slap you kind of settings but has two shops attached to it at the entrance. 

I was there to shave and make all crooked way on my head straight as a bald headed man but unfortunately I met some customers waiting to get their hair cut and had to just sit and enjoy the environment pending the time it will get to my turn.

You know the nature of a face me I slap you now, naso them begin do aproko(two people standing at the entrance but don't know if they stay in there or not). From there Convo, I was able to deduce that, a boy of 14years of age(his mum is a single mother) impregnated a girl of 12years who happens to be their neighbor in the same compound and not only that, their room is just right beside each other.

What baffles the aprokos was that, the girl's mother never knew the girl was pregnant until that same day they were doing the aproko which happens to be that, the pregnancy is up to 7months(deduced this from their discussion).

So, how on earth will your daughter as a mother be pregnant right under your nose for a whole 7months and you weren't aware ..what a bad parenting style. Not only that, the boy's mother refused taking responsibility even after the boy confessed being responsible for the pregnancy.

Some parents are doing more harm than good to themselves thinking they are training up a child, I don't know why as a mother, you can be so careless to the extent not knowing who your child plays with, move with or when she comes home to the extent of being pregnant..Infact, parenting is totally different from being a father or a mother.

Please, be watchful, careful and vigilant at all time.

Abeg everything na God hand e dey...I know people who watched for 24 hours and it still happened under their watch..... Watching them is not even easy cos some become so smart that they know what to do.....

These ones are so little, how will they cope? its the girl child that suffers, the boy child will move on quickly and the girl child is stranded trying to care for the baby... Sad!

Hi Stella, thanks for posting my chronicle. I just read everyone's replies. Thanks for your candid advice Bvs.

For the record, I have no intentions of stopping him from inviting people. On his birthday, I even invited people over to celebrate with him because I knew it would make him happy. I hosted them and didn't have any issues with that. 

There are sometimes one just feels like not having anyone around. I'm happy to strike a balance. I just wanted to seek your opinions to be sure I wasn't overreacting before talking to him about it again.

I don't want to be called a nag. I'll update you guys
