So, it was exchange of gifts by the students and apparently, some parents felt what their kids got, wasn't commensurate with the gifts they gave out, and all hell was let loose. Some parents refused to be pacified. They insisted on taking back their gifts. I can't even describe how I felt just seeing how people were over reacting to a non issue. Also goes to show how some of us see gift giving. Imagine the mind set parents passed on to innocent kids yesterday. Just a darn shame! 🥺🤦

Jesus pointed out that we still live in a 'faithless' generation (Matthew 17:17 NKJV). Unless you recognise this, it can wear you down by diluting your faith. That's why you need to feed your faith daily on God's word.

He said, 'Say to this mountain.' He wants you to exercise your faith today! He said, 'If you have faith as a mustard seed...nothing will be impossible for you' (Matthew 17:20 NKJV). A mustard seed is so tiny, it can get stuck between your teeth. But Jesus said although it's 'the least of all the seeds,' it grows into a tree big enough for birds to nest in (see Matthew 13:32 NKJV).
You say, 'I don't have any faith.' Yes, you do. Paul says, 'God has dealt to each one a measure of faith' (Romans 12:3 NKJV). And when it's activated, miracles happen. Even if you have only an ounce of faith left, you have what you need to prevail. But faith only works when it becomes the language you speak and the attitude you maintain. The enemy doesn't want you to know that, because when you do, you will start thinking about what's possible!

ReplyDeleteSo in front of my house SE teenage girls and two children were going to buy something from aboki store near by.
one the girls was holding the smaller child a girl of about 1yr plus and gisting.
The gist entered her well that she left the child and faces her friends and the poor baby continued going and unfortunately fell into a muddy patch in front.
The girl turned and screamed "phonu Mii" and rushed to the child and collected the phone and proceeded to clean it.
So apparently, the child was holding her "palasa" phone.
Me : 🥺 looking at the poor child and waiting for her to be rescued from the mud.
After waiting for like 1 min, and nothing and looking at the child that has started crying 😭😭
Me: 😡 with strong angry voice "that child is more important than that phone"
she : turns to me 😏 " The phone it's important oooo" still cleaning her phone.
Me : In shock 😲😱
Then her friend finally goes to bring out the child from the mud.
Me : still in shock " what kind of wrapped thinking is this 😩

I remember that time in the 80s and 90s that we used to eat rice occasionally, Nigerian rice with plenty stones 🤣
Before cooking , we will now put water in a bowl, pour the rice inside and be sieving out the rice into another bowl, plenty stones will settle at the bottom. Few stones will escape into the pot at the end of the day and we will be cracking stones while eating🤣🤣🤣🤣
The more privileged homes would buy uncle Ben's rice which was stone-free.
Today nko, we eat stone-free rice almost everyday
