DeleteEven me as a non academic staff working in the university my 4 months salary is with the govt because of ssanu May to August strike this year.

ReplyDeleteSo in these trying times ppl are owed back pay for 8 months, almost a whole bloody year. This shit is shameful in 2022, almost 2023. Wtf is one month's pay to do when eight is still outstanding.
ReplyDeleteThey were at home for the 8 months doing private businesses that I believe pays them enough for them to stay off work.
DeleteThat shows how these fools in government have relegated education to this country. Research Institutes' have been on strike for up to 18 months and their salaries are paid. No one has raised an eyebrow. ASUU was on strike to press their demand and demand that you honour the agreement you signed, you stopped their salaries and refused to pay it. Is it not double standard? Why do you have issues with the university? Even the November salary that was paid was not up to the full salary. No one has explained why there are deductions. It is a pity, education is dead in Nigeria.
