It is a really beautiful cold day out here and we give thanks to God despite the cold overpowering the Sun...
I just saw the News and Putin will not ceasefire for the Ukrainians to even have a quiet Christmas.... This is really sad news, i dont understand how one person can be so wicked...Wicked beyond words!
I have Nuggets for you...
Let me tell you something, stop borrowing to buy Christmas clothes for your kids, stop that tradition, it ended a long time ago. Teach your kids how to appreciate life and not how to be sad and envy others on Christmas day.... My kids dont even know about wearing new clothes on Christmas day cos they wear what they have and eat what we have..... I remember how sad i was and how i used to look at those who wore new clothes on Xmas and new Years day and i didnt have..
Instead of piling up igbese for next year, start planning how to start off the year on a good note....
The last two weeks has been really bad cos my Bambinos and hubby were sick and even though i was also under the weather i had to play Nurse to everyone but thank God that we are fine now...Praise be to Gods name....
BV Teena in the US sent me something special to use for the cold all the way from the US, with some people here i have found so much love and i am really so grateful to those who reach out and those who pray... I am also grateful for our blog witches.... Everyone makes it count here......

Stella Nwanyioma, I agree with you, I suffered low self esteem because of Christmas wears and shoes.
ReplyDeleteMy dad can't contribute, mom has to do where her hands reach.
She will buy those okrika gowns wey old English house wives dey wear with handgloves, only the layers alone, plus heat under my thighs and some dey get big bow for back.
Plus shoe for okrika wey the heel strong like one rock.
I always appreciate her at least I wear new thing but so different from what other children were wearing.
I raise my children in a way they don't know about Christmas clothes or food, infact Sunday rice is not mandatory, anything we have we wear and eat, no stress.
Reminds me of a secondary school friend that laughed at me because my family couldn't afford to eat Sunday rice during a lean period. I thank God that now, I can decide to have Sunday lunch at a restaurant or just take garri and peanuts if I want. Ayettymama.
