He wanted to sleep with her (his wife) but she refused him (her husband) and he tried to force his way in and during the struggle, he smashed her phone and she ended his life with a knife...
The incident happened three months after the couple reconciled and reunited following their separation.
Speaking in Ibadan while parading the suspect at the Oyo Police Command headquarter, Eleyele, Ibadan, police spokesman, Adewale Osifeso said preliminary investigation showed that the deceased and his wife returned to their house at Oko-Oba area of Oyo town on the day of the incident after their three-month separation.
Osifeso said: “On 17/11/2022 about 0350hrs, one Ismaila Tijani reported at Dubar Divisional Police headqauters that about 0223hrs of 16/11/2022, that his son named Olamilekan Salahudeen age 35 was stabbed to death with a knife by his wife Odunayo.”
“The deceased made a move to have s#xual intercourse with his wife but she rejected, this further led to the struggle where the deceased collected and smashed his wife’s phone and in retaliation, the deceased was stabbed on the chest, leading to his death”

It would be good to know.
In Nigeria, however, only statutorily declared crime/offences are recognized.
Is it not just possible the woman wanted to be rid of the man once and for all? At least by doing that, he wouldn't be there for anybody to force her to go live with as husband and wife.

Oh God! They should have just remained separated. Marriage is not by force . Why did they make them come back together especially if they were always fighting? She should have not come back to him since she knew she did not love him anymore to have s#x with him.

Show some empathy for the deceased family
DeleteA lot of people, mostly women, blamed the husband who posted the video of his naked adulterous wife caught in the act. The blame was more when the woman was reported to have committed suicide.
DeleteLook at you here supporting the murder of a husband on a alleged claimed spousal rape.
Only two people - the killer wife and the murdered husband - know what happened in that room.
Was there truly an attempted forcible marital s.xual demand? It is reported that the woman attacked the man because he smashed her phone in anger. So death is the penalty for a smashed phone? What has phone got to do with marital sx demand and refusal?
Let's us make the smallest effort to show sympathy to the bereaved whether the dead is a husband or a wife.
A person is not bad because he is a man/husband. A person is not good because he is a woman/wife.
Life is not a battle between males and females.

All the people who made this couple get back together are responsible for his death. They separated (I am sure DV was part of the cause) but world people will not leave them alone. Una don see the result? RIP to the dead.

ReplyDeleteSomething is not connecting for me. He wants sex, she says no, then he smashes and destroys her phone and she stabs him. So she keeps a knife in the bedroom? Or did she run to the kitchen after the phone smash to grab a knife.
