INSIDE THE MIND OF A WOMAN GOING THROUGH MOTHERHOOD

My boys have started fighting. I mean physical fights. Right before my eyes they started hitting each other and before I could say Jack they were doing a slam dunk just like in wrestling matches.

I sincerely don’t know where they learnt all this from. I separate them and tell them why it’s is bad to hit each other but any slight disagreement they are at it again.

I am really clueless about this, trying to read up on it but a lot of books claims it’s normal for boys.
The last time the elder one was sitting on the younger one while pulling is legs , I separated them and while trying to lecture them, the younger one ran towards his brother and head butted him.

The two of them held their heads screaming. I had to beg them both and insist they say sorry to each other and hug it out. They were fighting over playing on the same chair.

The last time it was over watching different cartoon stations.
They are always chasing each other around and behaving like Tom and Jerry. They have moments they play together but it usually ends in arguments.

This is a new phase for me, raising kids takes a lot of wisdom.

Fighting and headbutting each other..NO NO NO!!!!..... This did not happen with my boys at all... You need to find out the root of this behaviour and cut it off....it is not really nice....They can head butt and end up with broken heads that might affect their brains.... Please stop them before it becomes a normal behaviour to them

IJAYS GIST CORNER

Just yesterday wey I sey make I stay house rest small from hustling as body no be firewood, my ear full. All these dey happen for we yard and I didn't know. The gist plenty, but I go share small

I saw one of my neighbor's wife with plenty burns on her legs and some cowries were tied round the legs, it wasn't a good sight at all. I asked what happened and she said them do her 'ocha ore', don't know the name in English oh, forgive my local girl life. The injuries were already affecting the other leg, I couldn't look at it.

She said I'm even seeing it late, it's better than before. At first she couldn't walk, her husband carried her around. Na him she tell me sey, dem pour the jazz for where she dey stay bath her kids and her veranda, at the particular spot she sits. Two places gbo?

She was pregnant, I didn't see her protruding tummy, I used to yab her with her tummy oh. I asked what happened to her pregnancy, and she said she doesn't know, 'they took it'. Hey, I really felt pity for her.

This ocha ore thing happened to my big sis when she birthed her first baby and came to us for omugwo in the villa, my parents were quick to notice and treat it. She lived with the scars for a long time. She was always wearing long clothes that covered her legs. But this one wey I see yesterday eh, e bad, like very bad.

She was saying how she's spending much treating a disease that costs just #30. I heard that disease costs #50, dem don dey give discounts ni, they've reduced it to #30?. God please help your children biko. If you're in this part of the world, pls pray before you open your door every morning. Pray well oh
Even in your business or working place, pray.

Na wah

  8. Trust in the Lord
When your prayers don’t seem to be answered, you may be tempted to stop trusting the Lord and start chasing other ‘gods’.
Remain totally dependent on God and look for him to vindicate you. When things aren’t working out as you wish, be patient. Stop trying to move ahead of God. His timing is perfect. Trust him.

  16. I have one small advise for parents and parents to be today.

Whether u are poor, average or rich, if you haven’t created an account for ur child today, pls go and do so. Imagine how much that ur 1k, 2k, 5k, 10k monthly would have amounted to when the child is about to go to university (the most expensive phase of schooling). It may be difficult but try and commit to this, no matter how little.

Save urself of too much financial burden in the future.

Motherhood I think that fighting thing has to do with children that are born close to each other. I mean next to each other, I remember during our time we used to fight but not to break head or head butt each other.

The will out grow that fighting with time.

I have 1 yr and 6 yrs boys, the second always looks for trouble, he will always drag the first even hitting him with anything he gets hold of. When you have two or more boys without a girl in between na work. My neighbor has three, she will sometimes leave them inside and comes outside to cry. Training boys comes with mush stress.
