  1. Sunday afternoon, everyone was supposedly having a siesta. My chairman had slept off, me sef lie down near am as i was so tired. My pikin wake up, comot for house and walked to my friends house in our estate. This is like 4/5 blocks away and her house is close to the main gates which open up to an express way.
Na her call wake me up. As i didnt see him, i called out, thinking he was with my nephew in the other room before i answer the phone. She was asking where I was wey I leave pikin for front of her house? I had to make her repeat herself 3 times before I understood what she was saying. The kain run wey I run that day ehn, nonstop till I reach her house. See chairman balance for sofa dey lick ice-cream dey smile.
I just broke down and started to cry.
From that day, na prison locks and bolts we nack for door, top and bottom.

  3. Where do i start? Is it my 2 year old that emptied a full container of hair conditioner on his body or the time he took a hammer to the tele? Or when he soaked all his clean clothes in the bathroom? My little soldier has hidden a phone i wasnt using somewhere in the house and i cant find it to this day. He is creative in his mischief.

  4. I've been lucky with my girls so far. Before they turn 1.6m I talk to them about dangers in playing with some objects, strangers, kidnappers etc. God bless all parents and protect our children.

  5. It was my blackberry o, my then 10 month old baptized my blackberry. I was in the kitchen when I didn't hear him playing in the living room which was next to the kitchen, I tiptoed to the room where he usually take out stuff from the wardrobe but lo and behold my boy was in the bathroom with one hand dipped in the bucket of water there. The moment he noticed my presence he turned to me, pointed into the bucket and shined his teeth. I looked into the bucket and found my few months old blackberry in there. I couldn't believe my eyes. I looked at him again, this boy shined his teeth at me again which got me furious but my self control immediately told me that if I should touch this boy with how I feel now he will pai. I gently picked up the phone avoiding eye contact with his smiling face in order not to commit.

  8. Parenthood is not easy, children are beautiful gifts from God but to take care of them is not an easy work. May God keep blessing all parents.

  9. Kids! They can make you shout even at your lowest time. Me that have very tiny voice is now roaring like a lioness. One of my friends during my secondary school days find it difficult to believe it was that nightangle voice like they call me then that she was on phone with her. My three years old child can make you shout, run, bark and even wrestle with him. I still wondered how my mum gave birth to whole seven of us and still nurture us all. Mama, your memory will forever live in my heart. I will always love you

  11. I now work in a multinational company and this is how i got it.

My GenZ Neighbours upstairs are always on their phones and never watch over their children

    1. Saved one of their tots with my mattress cos he was almost falling over the balcony
    2. One of them tumbled down the stairs and broke his arm. See me carrying the child and racing to the estate clinic
    3. Lastly the 3rd child almost got kidnapped, they were playing outside when a woman called one of them to enter, the way i screamed ehn, the car sped off.

Word had been going round the estate about my heroic acts with these particular kids, got a call from one of my neighbours, we chatted, told him i had been laid off work for months, long story short, he helped me with my present job.
Dear parents pls always keep an eye on your children.

  14. We don't usually have water running round the clock in my area so everyone has a drum for storing water in the kitchen and toilets. I came out sometime ago and my neighbour was looking for her 5 year old daughter. They went to the police station and everyone search frantically for this child for hours. Low and behold, she apparently was playing with water and fell inside and drowned. It was such a sad day.

  15. I have that almost every day. My twin daughter is too much. The one that pained me so much happened last week. I finished bathing and dressing them up then went in to have mine. Usually they will be playing but once quiet, i start calling on them asking why so calm that i can't hear them, telling them to show me their hands and feet then her twin brother always stroll in, somedays is nothing while some i will rush out to stop her. But this last week own, heeeyi called and called yet no kiim so i hurried and came out, my daughter has emptied the big cup of sudocream on her and her brother, like covered everywhere. They were just white, the eyelashes lips, hair, hands feet. I just started crying, and nothing is within their reach because of her yet she climbed and collected it and did her thing.
Yesterday, as i was doing the dishes in the kitchen, they became quiet, tv was on, though it worried me but i waved it thinking i will be out, just few plates mmmhu only to come out, behold they have emptied a lot of water from the dispenser and rolling on it in the dinning area, i weak from head to toe. It's always her and her brother follows her once she starts. We stay in a very quiet area but it is only my voice that echoes everyday here. Etigbuolam onwem na mkpu.
