INSIDE THE MIND OF A WOMAN GOING THROUGH MOTHERHOOD.
Saw a video recently online comparing massages given to babies abroad and the one given to babies in Nigeria. The massage abroad looked so soothing.
The masseuse was gently rubbing the babies body, I could fall asleep just imagining being massaged like that but you see the Nigerian/ African massage, it was violent, “wetin happen”!! .
I couldn’t finish watching the video, the baby was dangled upside down with just one leg . Arms and legs bent to the back with so much force it was horrifying to watch.
The argument is usually that it makes baby sleep deeply. Please who wouldn’t sleep deeply after such torture.
I didn’t allow anyone massage my babies like that because during antenatal classes we were warned sternly and shown several complications ranging from broken legs, skull and brain damage done by overzealous grandmas.
Babies are tender and should be treated as such.
It even takes someone with a heart of stone to twist and dangle the babies like that...... if you have handled a new born, you will understand what i mean, their bones are like bread......

When i had my first Bambino, a phone call from someone in Naija advised me to do that strong massage and i agreed but after oiling my Bambino and he almost fell from my hands, i changed my mind and did my thing my own way.... That one of bathing was really also difficult for me... Abeg its not easy for a first time mum and Omugwo is a good way to learn but please monitor whoever is bathing and massaging

some years back, a man I met aboard a flight, collect my contacts and the very first time we spoke on phone, he asked for my account details and sent me 5million! 😧 I was shocked and scared at the same time. I quickly called to thank him but he didn’t pick my call. Next thing I sent a message to him saying I can’t accept the money. He finally called me back and said from our conversation during the flight he was touched to help me cos I’m a hardworking lady and that I should be sure to put the money to good use. I was still in shock that this man didn’t want anything sexual to do with me ( unfortunately Nigerian has made us think this way).
When I told my mum, she insisted on calling him to thank him.
Immediately I enrolled for my MBA.
He never called me or texted me after then. About a year and half later, he called me and after catching up, he invited me for his birthday. I went with my brother. When we got to the venue, there were a lot of people like me who are beneficiaries of his philanthropy. Graduates he has trained, widows, and special needs children. But one thing I noticed was his humility even amongst his children and wife.
After then, he saw my WhatsApp status when I posted my business. Next thing I saw alert of 7million.
Indeed there are angels on earth.

See ehn, in my 30 year old life walahi I've never seen a dog as large as what I saw, come be like small lion with big head.
Even cartoon no get that kind dog. The owner was walking with it, his hand on the leash.

When I had my first child, my mum wan use hot water and massage and throwing up with twisting of joints finish the girl for me. My husband will sit somewhere very sad and complaining. I got to know later on that it was unnecessary which made me not to allow any of it to be done to my second born.
