The two suspects detained in connection with the death of three-year-old Ifeanyi Adeleke, son of music artiste, Davido, and his fiancée, Chioma Rowland, may remain in police custody until they are cleared by an autopsy report. A source on Wednesday, said the nanny and the cook were directly in charge of Ifeanyi’s welfare, adding that they might also be liable for negligence.
The House of Representatives on Wednesday accused ministers and other appointees of President Muhammadu Buhari of undermining the government’s efforts to fight corruption in the country. They called out the Minister of Finance, Budget and National Planning, Zainab Ahmed; Budget Office of the Federation and the Office of the Accountant-General of the Federation.

Residents said that a gang of bandits stormed the market which is situated 7 kilometers off Kaura Namoda-Shinkafi road, firing at traders.
-At least eight Bureau de Change (BDC) operators have been arrested following the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) raid on Wapa forex market in Kano. It was gathered that operatives of the Kano command of the anti-graft agency stormed the forex market Tuesday evening with about eight vehicles and heavily armed personnel, a situation which threw the market into a pandemonium.

-The Edo State Police Command says it has recovered about ten lifeless unidentified male bodies along a bush part in Ibillo- Lampese Road, Lagos – Abuja Expressway, Edo State.
A statement by the command’s spokesperson, SP Chidi Nwabuzor said the bodies were recovered on Tuesday after credible intelligence was made available to the operatives of the Ibillo Divisional Headquarters of the command.
The PPRO said upon the intelligence, the Divisional Police Officer, mobilized officers alongside hunters, and vigilantes to the scene where the bodies were recovered.
The statement revealed that a preliminary investigation was conducted and photographs of the dead bodies taken, stating that the corpses were searched and examined but there was no noticeable mark of violence or materials that may lead to identifying them.
“Investigation was also extended to the Fulani / Hausa Communities and the indigenous communities who came, examined corpses and declared that the dead bodies were not natives or their vigilantes.
“The dead bodies have since been deposited at the Ibillo General Hospital Mortuary for preservation and forensic investigation”, the statement added.

Where exactly are we headed in this country?
ReplyDeleteTen lifeless bodies and no clues as to how they came to this end. These lots certainly have relations, fathers , mothers , wives and possibly children groaning in pains searching for their loved ones.

ReplyDeleteOn Saturday me and my madam was gisting, the topic of Davido and Chioma came up and she suddenly started acting somehow. She said something bad is about to happen and she seriously pities Chioma for she doesn't seem to know anything. My madam sha said so much and then just changed the subject like she came back to herself or something.
