Crooner Davido's Domestic Staff Picked Up By The Police For Questioning After Son Drowned In His Absence

After the shocking and painful death of Davido’s son, Ifeanyi, the Lagos State Police Command has confirmed that all members of the singer’s domestic staff are currently in police custody.

The Police command’s spokesperson, Benjamin Hundeyin confirmed this to Daily Post on Tuesday morning after report of Ifeanyi’s death went viral.

The DMW boss and his fiance, Chioma Rowland were away from the house when the boy drowned in a pool at his father’s house in Banana Island on Monday.

The Lagos PPRO said preliminary investigation is currently ongoing to unravel what led to the boy’s death.

He said, “Domestic staff at Davido’a home have been taken to the station to give their own account of what happened. I wouldn’t call that arrest yet.

“If after they all give their own account of what happened and after preliminary investigations, if anyone of them is found culpable, the person will now be placed under arrest”.

Pools at homes should be properly covered with barricades. This could have been avoided. God abeg 😒

  6. Nigeria is a country ruled by powers and principalities and wicked people in really high spiritual places, this is not the kind of country where u will be flaunting your wealth and children for everyone to see, you can argue with your keypad , I have seen things that if some of you see it, you will go blind or dumb. This generation is totally reckless, they put ther whole lives on social media for witches to feed on and boy o boy, they are feasting real good on all their blessings.

    5. You are absolutely right!!! Many years ago, I noticed this and took myself off social media and cut off so many people. I initially thought I was 'mad' but I knew my intuition was right and with time, I have real proof. Social media is not what it is anymore. Life is very spiritual and not just physical and people are very wicked, envious, jealous and can go to any and every length to cause pain.

    2. Yes Phoenix,I know it can happen to anyone but i think a mother will have been more proactive, you don’t see or hear your child’s voice in a few seconds and you start running around looking for him.He May have fallen into the pool but timely intervention was the main point or not even letting him leave ur sight for one second except you can see him from where you are seated. For him to get drowned that means he was in the pool for a little time gasping for air. Nobody looked for him then, his carer didn’t check around for him? U don’t see a child around u start checking for the child immediately, just to be sure he is safe and not playing with dangerous objects.
Maybe if she had even taken him out this wouldn’t have happened. It’s just so heartbreaking.

  59. I'm so vexed at the level of sheer carelessness here.

As you are arresting child minders, arrest parents let them also give statements.

In this day of superb technology, you dont know you can track your home from your phone?
    You dont know????????

Who leaves their children in the hands of others, in this day and age without tracking in some form? Even my colleague whose blood sister takes care of her kids while she and her husband work 9am- 5pm calls homes at least 4 times at work to HEAR her childrens voices. Sometimes the calls are not even up to 15 secs.

And you know the level of animosity and jealousy people have for you, which is why in ALL areas you MUST be super vigilant.

Where is the CCTV footage? Off.
If it was on, trust me their childminder would have been doing gumbody eyeservice.
Was the swimming pool barricaded? No.
Did the swimming pool have a cover? No.
Did you track from your phone? No.

What is this for God's sake?
