''My decision to do something different from my comedic comfort zone was only backed with action, and here we are in Canada with 12 awards from 27 nominations to show for it.
Achieving this success came as a result of my willingness to use my platform to join the growing number of advocates worldwide to call attention to the ongoing issues of human trafficking, sex trafficking, and forced labor in Nigeria.
A very big thank you to Toronto International Nollywood Film Festival for making this possible I couldn't have done it alone without standing on the shoulders of our wonderful cast and crew. A big shout out to everyone....''

DeleteThese are not really international awards. They are awards given by bodies of fellow Nigerians living abroad who name their organizations and give laurels cloned after the real deal. Tinff is not in any way a prestigious art organization.

ReplyDeleteCongrats but “Toronto International Nollywood Festival” sounds like something “our people put together” to honor “us”. I know how many even in the US that approach you to pay for the annual who is who” and I always refuse to pay as I do not need such validation. Why would Nollywood go and domicile an award in Toronto to make it seem “international”? Who do they think they are deceiving. Congrats on your 12 Nollywood awards and your wife’s “2 honorary doctorates”…
ReplyDelete🤣🤣🤣🤣
DeleteI was super excited until I saw "Nollywood"
