Chronicle Of Blog Visitor Narrative..

 Hmm...

STAND ALONE NARRATIVE
HAPPY BUT SAD

My people my people, g
ood day to you all.

Just like the heading says, 'happy but sad', I don't know if it's the right term to use but sometimes I will just be happy and later become sad that is why I am here to seek advice from you all

I am married with a son, my husband is managing and trying his best to provide for us and I am also a teacher , you all know teaching job doesn't pay much. In fact I am not even earning up to 30k ( you can imagine). So I am not bringing much to the table and this is also affecting my husband.

I have been applying for good job here and there, going for interviews. And finally I got selected for one in which the pay is like times 5 of my teaching salary. I was very happy. So I will be resigning from my teaching job in order to take up the new position.

So the thing is, last week I found out that I was pregnant. Although its a thing of joy because it something I am praying for but not now that I just got new job.

Please I will like to know, will it be a good idea if I take up the new position knowing full well that I am pregnant or still remain where I am?

Please Stella and blog visitors i need your advice and what decision to take; its really urgent.

*Did the new Job say you cant be pregnant? Do you think you will be sacked after finding out you are pregnant? If the answers are yes then i must sadly ask you to remain at the old job please...

    3. Take your new job and save as much as you can. Even if you work for 9 months, the salary you would earn will be equivalent to years of working at your old job. Don't let the fear of unknown hold you back. Make yourself a useful addition by giving the job your 100% . Don't start gossiping and doing eye service o. Work and add value to the organization that they would want to keep you. All the best.

  3. Kindly speak to your new employers. They should have plans for pregnant staffs. They won't mind keeping you if you are indispensable to them. For now don't quit your teaching job until you are sure that your new employers will attempt you with pregnancy. Dont be sad, cheer up. Good luck.

  8. Please take the new job and make up your mind to bring your best game to the job irrespective of the pregnancy. Your new baby will bring you more favors. Don’t feel sad at all.

  9. Take the job oh, take it pls. If they didn’t say u if u are pregnant during the interview, then take it that it is not a requirement for them. You have a long way to go before maternity leave so you would have worked enough to have small change even if they don’t pay u during ur maternity leave.

Wishing you a stress free pregnancy that does not hinder u from doing a good job at all.

  11. Take the new job and keep praying that their decision favours you. I doubt any reasonable organisation would cut you off because of that.
These are two beautiful things,if you're in doubt of your strength, I promise you'll cope and be fine at the end, budget a percentage of your salary to get assistance or help when needed at home.

Dear poster, you know your body, some people's pregnancy comes with alot of drama,if you are in that category it's best you remain where you are, instead of resigning, cos you can't just start as a new staff in an organization, with different excuses cos of morning sickness or tiredness.I pray you make the right decision.Take it to God in prayers,He will guide you right.

  20. Every standard organisation in Nigeria has policy as per pregnancy and maternity leave. For instance my former company used to sack pregnant women who got pregnant while still on probation. I know a company that won't sack but no paid maternity leave will be granted. Find out the policy of your intending employer. Whatever be the case, keep the pregnancy.

  21. The fruit of the womb is a blessing from God! The new job is a blessing from God.
Take these blessings before God and ask Him for guidance, direction and peace.
Lean not on your own understanding, in all your ways acknowledge Him and he will direct your path.

  22. Please please and please start your new job and don’t say anything about your pregnancy. As in do NOT tell anyone. Like others mentioned, start saving as soon as you get your first salary. Because you never know if they’ll hold your position when you’re back from maternity. You’ve been praying for this job so This is double blessing. This child will bring joy and this child will be a blessing. you will keep this job in Jesus name. Keep saying positive affirmations about this job and prayers and just take it one step at a time. Be happy, don’t be sad at all, so it won’t trigger your stress level. let your belle stay till full term biko. Again, don’t tell anyone at your new job. People will eventually see your belle and your manager, then you can take it from there. Good luck and wishing you all the best💕

  23. Find out the company's policies as regards pregnancy. Most companies do not allow married women get pregnant within 6months of employment (probation period).

If they did not specify this or say anything about it, you also know your body system. If your morning sickness is bad and will leave negative impression about your work ethics with the employer, stay where you are and birth your baby.
