Everyone gets to a breaking point but the ability to put back the pieces and rise again is key.
Do you remember an experience that broke the 'Camels back' in your life? How did you overcome it and get back on your feet? Was this experience related to work? love life? friendship? what?
Let's gist!
My father sending us out into the cold and bringing in a new wife(a mother of four). That situation put me in arms way and i got pregnant at the young age of 20 and having the child at 21 without his father destabilised me. But I had a mission and that was to have an education. I took up all the odd jobs in this world except prostitution to see myself through university. I fought so hard, so hard and I am here today. Note that I was from a very rich home, my father was a big shot in the Nigerian Customs.

DeleteNothing yet. It's a cold world, so I always expect the unexpected, apart from death, nothing shakes me to the core, even when my husband beat up my mom for eating the last food in pot and he wanted more coz the food was tasty. I hit a bottle of champagne on head in his sleep and went to the police station myself. Released after 3 days, family came to get me. No child in the marriage, so we cut ties, informal divorce, we just moved onto other people. Now remarried with kids and living in the states, I bumped into him and his wife, he is now a silver fox. He paused like he saw a ghost, I walked past. Didn't think he'd recognize me cos I'm 45, he 52. The fight happened when I was 26 and him in his 30s, imagine the years gone by. We've bumped into eachother like 4 times, we are mortal enemies I guess 😄. I am hoping he doesn't try to engage me next time we bump, the crazy part of me still exists. His wife is a walking goddess btw.

DeleteLove and light Anon. I seem to see a beautiful mind in u
DeleteMy sister maltreated me so much and I endure it but the last straw that made me to parked out of her house was accusing me of ganging up against her with her husband. The truth is that, he is trying to make peace between us and before God, I don't have anything negative with her husband. We are just cordial.
ReplyDeleteSmart woman I am. During my work days, my boss called me a walking corpse because of my health challenges which himself was not free of. I detested him for that and left the organisation for good. Today, we are competitors but good still. No time for bad feelings.
