Rivers State Governor Wike Appoints 14,000 Advisers
Governor Nyesom Wike of Rivers State is making serious moves to ensure the state is under his control ahead of the 2023 general election, with the appointment of 14,000 advisers for various political units in the state.
This was disclosed in a statement signed by the spokesperson to the Governor, Kelvin Ebiri.
The statement read in part: “In addition to the 14,000 advisers, Governor Wike has also appointed 319 Ward Liaison Officers and 40 Local Government Area Liaison Officers.
“The appointments are with immediate effect”, it said.
Which employment, resources he would have put to better use. Don’t be surprised, some might have job before and some will still bring in multiple members from their family.
The new governor will definitely sack them when he resumes office as that one will have his own entourage that he wants to placate with govt appointments.
Who holds these 14,000 people accountable? Are they given free rein to implement their so-called advice? Or must the governor approve of everything?
If he met with one advisor everyday to discuss their plans for the state, it would take almost 38 and a half years for him to see every single one. And that includes weekends and holidays!!
SMH, well said. Just waste of resources, he might have usedi it for other things. Nigerian politicians are just not it. May be he want to use them for rigging. God please expose and disgrace them.
