ReplyDeleteLol 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
ReplyDeleteI know this is up for laughs, but there is a good reason why they had to spend that much.
ReplyDeleteI work in the UK public sector and I can understand why they've spent that much money and come up with "Welcome to Scotland".
Truth is, they would have been required to:
1. Do a poll with the public to make sure it will be widely accepted (all paid for)
2. Carry out DPIA and EQIA assessment to ensure the slogan will fit public good
3. Write business case justiication for using that slogan for their country.
4. Do a lot of review with senior stakeholders and obtain sign off
All of these require manpower (which is not cheap) in the UK. "Welcome To Scotland" is not a simple phrase. There would be a lot of advert concept, tourism policy concept backing it. And that is what money was spent on.
But media and headline news will sensationalise it.
