The All Progressives Congress, APC, presidential candidate, Bola Tinubu, yesterday, called on Nigerians to elect leaders that would make a difference in their lives. Tinubu made the remark while calling for prayers for peaceful, free, and fair elections in 2023.







-. The Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) has said it has no plan to disrupt the election in Igboland in 2023. The media and publicity secretary of the group, Emma Powerful, in a statement yesterday, said there is no truth in any information circulating on alleged plans to disrupt the polls in the southeast in 2023.

The Deputy National Publicity Secretary of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC), Murtala Yakubu Ajaka, has asked the Minister of Labour and Employment, Chris Ngige, and other appointees to campaign openly for the party’s presidential candidate, Bola Ahmed Tinubu or resign their appointments.



-. The All Progressives Congress (APC) has no valid candidate for the 2023 presidential election, according to the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP). Addressing a press conference at the party headquarters on Saturday, Debo Ologunagba, National Publicity Secretary of the PDP, Ologunagba said the APC presidential candidate, Bola Tinubu has nothing to offer.



-A Chief Magistrate Court sitting in Akure, the state capital of Ondo, has ordered the remand of an 18-year-old boy, Tope Momoh, for allegedly killing his mother, Late Mrs. Stella Momoh. The defendant was said to have strangled the deceased to death during an argument in Ikakumo Akoko Community, Akoko North-East Local Government Area of the state, on September 6, 2022.



-. The Labour Party presidential candidate, Peter Obi, on Saturday met the former Emir of Kano and former Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) governor, HRH Sanusi Lamido in the United Kingdom. Obi who shared photos of his meeting with the former monarch on Twitter said they spent time exchanging views on national interest, vis-a-vis economy, consumption and production patterns.





-The senator representing Anambra South Senatorial District, Ifeanyi Ubah, Saturday, bid farewell to his aide, Mr. Ikechukwu Obum, who was buried yesterday in Anambra State. There was a flow of tears when the body of Obum was lowered to mother Earth. Ifeanyi Ubah cried uncontrollably when the body of his most trusted aide was lowered to mother earth.

The Katsina State Police Command says it killed 27 bandits, rescued 393 kidnapped victims and sent for prosecution 1,116 suspected criminals out of the 1,503 arrested in the last eight months in the state. The State Commissioner of Police, Idrisu Dabban Dauda made the disclosure at a commissioning ceremony yesterday.

-The offices of the President and Vice-President will spend N11.92bn on local and foreign trips and the presidential air fleet. The amount also includes N1.58bn earmarked for aircraft maintenance and N1.60bn allocated for the overhaul of the Gulfstream GV and CL605 aircraft engines.



-. All Progressives Congress (APC) has postponed the flag-off of its 2023 presidential campaign earlier slated for Monday in Abuja. This happened on a day the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) confirmed that its presidential campaign will kick off same day in Uyo, Akwa Ibom State capital.

  7. Support these old politicians at your own detriment. You elect my grand father's mate as a leader. What can he do at this age when his brain is shutting down? Is not to retire and be taken care of.
