Chronicle Of Blog Visitor Narrative

 Hmm..

STAND ALONE NARRATIVE

FIBROID ISSUE

House please I want to ask what you all think I should do at the moment, I have fibroid that is giving me issues cos I have been bleeding since August.

I visited the hospital and the doctor advised me to take it out but he prescribed an injection (IM depopronera 300mg) hope I got the name that I should take for 3 months to stop bleeding so that I can have enough blood and the fibroid will reduce it size before we can carry out the operation .

I didn't see the prescribed injection but saw Progesta and the person was willing to administer the injection to me but I refused os is not same thing.

The operation will come up by next year if I am ready to go through that process cos I had already done that process in 2019 and I am here again. My only challenge is that my elder sister that is a nurse has discouraged me from taking the injection that when she was having same issue before she had her womb removed. She took that injection and it also increased her problem.

She has asked me not to take the injection but has not gotten any solution or remedy to my current situation. I have been taking primolut N since September to help stop the bleeding, should I continue taking the primolut N till when or take the injection and and rest from daily drugs. I remember when I was to undergo the last surgery then she told me not to take the same Anesthesia that keeps one awake cos it didn't work for her.

I refused and took same Anesthesia and it worked for me perfectly. Should I ignore her and go ahead to take the injection without informing her or continue to be on daily drugs which some days blood flows out.

*If you trust your doctor, why not follow his advice?

I am so sorry about what you are going through... May whatever step you take become a permanent solution

    1. I'm sorry about what you're going through but u see that your elder sister, I'm sure she's not a certified nurse, maybe auxiliary or nurse eliza. I will advise you poster to go ahead and take the injections then follow through with the surgery. I've seen alot of patients slumped and died from anemic heart failure as a result of excessive loss of blood from fibroids..when it comes to things like this, delay is dangerous.
      sending u love and light.
      It shall end in praise.

    3. BLACK WOMEN, PLEASE NOTE THAT THERE ARE INGREDIENTS IN HAIR RELAXERS THAT CAUSE FIBROIDS AND CANCER. PLEASE GOOGLE THIS FACT. If you want straight hair, you can use a hot comb just as was used in the past. AVOID HAIR RELAXERS!!! ๐Ÿšซ๐Ÿšซ๐Ÿšซ

  4. Why do you want to do another surgery after the first one? I have fibroid too and my suggestion is to stop with the surgery and look for other medical alternatives.
Meanwhile, change your diet to a healthier one.

  8. Maybe look into taking Tranexamic acid to reduce the bleeding prior to your surgery instead of the hormonal medications? The risk with these hormonal injections is that they reduce the fibroids to a point where they seem so tiny and hence not all the tumours are removed during operation and as soon as the hormone wears off, the fibroids which initially shrank can grow again. God will help you make the right decision.

  9. If you have the money, seek a second opinion. Truth is if it caused issues for your sister, it may do the same for you because of genetics and all (please note that I said may) that's why taking down family history is important. My advice is that if you're still confused at this point, seek a second opinion. You've been bleeding since August and must be anaemic by now. Please seek a second opinion, compare your options, pray where possible and make a decision

  10. Please follow your doctor’s information. I know people who have taken Depo as that medication is also known. They’ve seen a lot of relief with their symptoms. One of its side effects is weight gain so watch your diet.

  14. Also, Stella I feel bad that in this Nigeria we(especially ladies) don't know the benefits of having a gynae we can talk to. Every girl needs a gynae she can talk to the moment she starts seeing her period. Most people will say it's expensive and all that but truth is having a gynae can prevent or at least limit problems of the poster today.
Besides with health insurance (yes we have that in Nigeria and it works. I'm a witness) you can have access to quite a number healthcare. You don't just have to be a civil servant. It's called GIFSHIP. With your 45k, you can register yourself and 2 extra dependants and if you're buoyant enough or an aspiring philanthropist, with 150k, you can register 10 people and each will get access to primary healthcare including free antenatal registration for pregnant women and much more. I'm not making this up. Visit NHIA(formerly NHIS) website or the nearest NHIA office in your location for more info.
Let's stop dieing in silence because of healthcare we can't afford.
Stella I really wish you'd post this. Someone might really benefit from this information.

  20. My aunty "God bless her soul" had this an we lost her due to the operation. Later found out that we could have opted for the orthodox option at Luth. Try PAX herbal just for a month then go for a scan. You would even be able to conceive. Just try PAX HERBAL

  21. Please seek the opinion of another gynaecologist

  23. seek a second opinion. treatments for fibroids like most medical conditions do not have the same outcomes for everybody so though you are related you might not have the same experience like your sister. i had to have fibroid surgery because it led to a miscarriage for me though i never took anything to shrink it..for you the prolonged bleeding is not healthy so the earlier you take a decision the better....meanwhile keep praying, miracles still happen...
