In every organization, there is a Mafia, don't align, if you have to, always choose the big sharks.
ReplyDeleteExactement!
DeleteMark you're on point.
DeleteAlso find out what shit goes down when they choose same location and training agency for career advancement.
That's where the Mafias hold their "caucus meetings" to decide who goes up or down the rungs of the ladder.
Don't sit and watch your KPI score be less than a 50% index.
Be wise!
Nailed it!! If you have to choose a clique, choose wisely.
DeleteOver to the career people na business I don dey do since I graduate, I never use my pali 🚶
ReplyDeleteSame here
DeleteNa handwork gat me since I graduate.
Your colleagues are NOT your friends.
ReplyDeleteI learnt this almost too late.
MANY of them are serpents and snakes.
XXX if you ever have the misfortune of entering this bank, God help you, especially if you are a female, your hands are clean and refuse to kiss ass.
If they cant set you up, they will frustrate you out.
I repeat, your colleagues are NOT your friends.
👏🏼
DeleteI learnt this a bit TOO LATE hahahaha
DeleteRait now we are ALL on our lanes
👍
DeleteI've known this for so long and it's been helping me live in peace with all man. I practically don't expect loyalty or anything special from anyone. Even when i was on admission some didn't come to say hi still yet i didn't pick offense bcoz i know they don't owe me anything.
DeleteSo common in the banking sector..Large companies and so many.. It's an unhealthy competition
DeleteYour colleagues are never your friends.
DeleteReceive alert for your salary and go home.
Anything worth doing should be done well
ReplyDeleteNever procrastinate what could be done today till tomorrow especially when it has to do with career development.
Hmmm This one na wetin happen today for my office: If you need help or additional resource, always follow up and keep asking for it..If it is not forth coming, it's better you quit...If you think you can manage the work load and you don't meet up with your deliverables/KPIs. You will be shown out the door.
ReplyDeleteManagement will only see and measure the outcome, no one will ask for the process....
Phoenix dear, in the event that the company doesn't find "additional resources" as a motivational tool, what's next for the frustrated staff who still wishes to hang on?
DeleteLeave people well.
ReplyDeleteBe diligent and you will stand before kings.
Pursue all opportunities. You never know what will yield fruit.
Don't overstress yourself just to please your boss, you can't just please your boss no matter how hard you try. Remember, you can be easily replaced if anything happens to while trying to please your boss.
ReplyDelete"COLLEAGUE AT WORK" because 98% of your colleagues are not your friend . Most times all your colleagues are not your friend just collaborate with them to do your job where necessary but after that no more business.
ReplyDeleteLike my former boss said to me then that wherever you found yourself give your best because if you are not rewarded in the first job you may likely get your deserved reward in the next place of work.
Never disclose your insecurities to any colleague.
Be mindful of what you discuss with colleagues
Only "Colleague at work "
ReplyDelete1. Be diligent, hardworking and resourceful, but not at the expense of your life!
ReplyDelete2. Don't snitch on anyone just to gain favors in the office.
3. Your colleagues are not your friends. Know this, know peace!
Don't make your colleagues your friends.
ReplyDeleteYour co-workers are your colleagues and not friends. So treat them as colleagues.
ReplyDeleteThere is politics everywhere!!! Your chances of moving up the corporate ladder does not solely depend on your performance in a lot of cases.
ReplyDeleteYou might sadly be left behind if you can't find your way into the happening clique
Know when the politics is not favouring you and find an exit as soon as you can.
My last 4 years plus working in a multinational Don open my eyes for my next career steps.
ReplyDeleteNa to start to dey shine eyes early wherever I find myself.
Ladies be careful with your bosses some of them are just demons and thorns that want to devour you
ReplyDeleteIn this life nobody is your friend, be friend to all but be yourself and mind yourself very important, then any other human can fail you except God in heaven.
ReplyDeleteOffice politics is real. Don't ass lick, and don't back stab to move up but play your politics well enough to move up the ladder. Relationships matter when key decisions are being taken. Ensure you have someone who sits on the table so that you are sure of someone throwing in a word for you when it matters. Don't expect too much from colleagues, they are just colleagues and not friends. Don't take offence when people do not commiserate with you on the loss of a loved one, or attend your private events etc. Be careful the events you invite colleagues to, some will attend the event and thereafter begin research on your family especially if what they saw at the party dazzled them beyond words. That said, do not rule out making good friends from the workplace, just be careful of this venture.
