Also, they are thousands and millions of people living in the States illegally. Some even work, have kids and own/run businesses. I.C.E has a lot on their plate, so many people fall through the cracks and go undetected for years/decades.
If her child is a US citizen, she can be using him as an "anchor baby", although that is very risky!
