Laolu Martins, the co-founder and executive director of Bukka Hut restaurant is dead.
He reportedly committed suicide in his home in the early hours of Tuesday around 3 am after giving up on his alleged long-fought battle with depression.

We all have to keep holding on, it’s not easy right now but God will definitely come through.
I remember warripikin saying she was in debt and even attempted killing herself, but look at where she is today.

DeleteYou see this mental health issue it's very serious. But Nigerians are ashamed to seek help and even the psychologist, most will now start asking you to pray and fast. Many people are supposed to be on nti depressant pills.

Deleteit might be spiritual yes but you must know the facts of a matter to say so...my uncle had a land problem and he was told korokoro by one of the 5 people who planned it that he was going to kill himself with his own hands. he became sick and just like that woke up one day and went to the back of his house and hung himself. he had told his daughter all names of those involved which is how we knew...suicide could be spiritual. some hear voices telling them to kill themselves and some are just clinical depression. in this case i dont know the guy personallyt so we cannot say

DeleteWorked in psych in Nigeria. There are so many professional and committed medical personnel to open up to and talk with. The developed countries of the world are recruiting then fast. Don't just assume in ignorance. Reach out and get help. You can even walk into a and e or to your family doctor and ask to be referred.

The comment was a response to an assertion and a simple request for more information of the assertion.
Correct news is important always. It dispels speculations. It helps people focus on the real issue. Correct news enables appropriate action. If the man's death is depression induced, it would help any reader take that challenge serious whenever another person talks about depression. Also knowing what caused depression in a man to induce suicide is also a teaching/learning point. If the death was an accident, mall/public place managers would learn it could and do the needful.
The ears did not tingle for gossip, but for information which dispels dem say dem say over a very serious matter.

All these may be happening, yet a busines may be losing money or running on loans being paid on the last due dates. Yet some staff will be stealing from the business or the government people may be harrasing with undue red tapes just to get settled. Then add the demands of family and friends.
I was just laughing, most of the people commenting don't even have good jobs and don't even have an idea what business entails. As long as AC dey and food dey hot, dey says business is 'doing well'.
