Mother Cries Out For Help As Her Only Child Goes Missing In Northern Cyprus...

29 year old Undergraduate Abdulsamad Abubakar called his mum on August 2, 2022 from Northern Cyprus on a strange phone crying that he was being taken to detention camp and needed help....

His Mother, Kogi state born Dije Ibraheem has not heard from him since then and after all efforts to contact him through the agent failed, she contacted the office of Nigerians in diaspora commission to help her locate her only child.

He is a 300 level International Relations student of Cyprus Science University and was living living off campus.

    1. Abike was paid to speak against North Cyprus. How come she has never spoken about other countries but north Cyprus with every opportunity she gets. She makes baseless claims without doing investigation. This boy is not missing but in prison for assaulting his girlfriend.

  7. If Nigeria was that good in its educational sector and other aspects of living, what's Cyprus people will be running to for study?

I saw some persons the other day celebrating their travel to Venezuela for education. Venezuela of all places?

Ghanians used to come to Nigeria back then for education, business and all that. How many of them do you still see here? Ghana is becoming more organized than Nigeria each passing day. I feel so pity we got into this mess. So unfortunate I must say

I pray he's found alive and rescued.

  14. I read an article some years ago about Cyprus. It read that Cyprus is divided into two:the south and the North. The North is basically a wasteland. No good schools or job opportunities there. The people there struggle for survival. The South is where you have the resorts and schools but still no job opportunities cuz the mainstay there is tourism. Yet we see our country people flocking to a place where there is no hope, just to escape the harsh realities of this nation. May I never pay fare to a place that will kill me.

    1. This is not what is needed now.
Learn the meaning of empathy, of BASIC COMMON SENSE .
Imagine his mother reading this, especially your last sentence.
May we not use people's period of pain as an opportunity to show nonexistent intelligence.

    2. 13.14 please calm down, AK047 is not being insensitive, only stating the facts. People need to be informed about such places. His/her comment might save other people from towing that path.

    3. The north is not a waste land but unrecognized, Some universities in the north are even better than ranked higher some in the south. Tourism is their main stay. No jobs and there is more racism in the south than in the north. And the boy is not missing but in police detention for assault.

  15. I pray he is found alive, We have been warned several times about northern Cyprus, they kill Nigerians enmass because they believe we are all criminals which is not true, a lot of Nigerians in diaspora are just causing problems for the inocent ones, some will never tell you the true situation what they are going through and what they are doing for a living, the paint a picture of paradise and when you get there , you get stuck.
I just pity his family and the emotional trauma they are going through now.

  26. Let Nigerians keep running from pillar to post until no other country will be willing to accommodate their nonsense. Someone like his mother are the ones who are nonchalant about the situation of things in Nigeria because she can afford to send her child abroad. Nigeria just happened to them. I wish her luck

  27. Stella, this boy is not missing. He is in prison. His neighbor said, he assaulted his girl friend and threatened to deal with the police officer who came to arrest him. He called his mother when he was being arrested but never told them what he did. He will be deported when he is released.
