The reason the pressure seems more on ladies is because of their biological clock. A man can still get married at 40 after he has made money, but it's not advisable for a lady to for obvious reasons.

ReplyDeleteGood morning beautiful people. So, yesterday I went to see our new born and on my way back it rained heavily, it was still raining as at the time I got home. I quickly ran into my apartment and was undressing, next thing I heard was a mighty sound and the whole house shocked
I looked through the window, lo and behold, it was an incompleted building very close to my apartment that fell. My apartment was just opposite it and this building fell at my doorstep, at first I thought the protector had pulled of cos it fell on it
My neighbors all ran out, those that saw when I entered the compound came to look for me immediately, they thought I was trapped because it wasn't upto 2 minutes I came in, normally I always spend more than a minute to open my door cos my keys are always deep down inside my bag
All I was hearing was' thank God for you IJ'. What if that building fell on me in the process of opening my door and spending time there to say hello to neighbors like every other time, but for the rain, and everyone was inside.
I didn't spend much time cos it was raining heavily. And beside my apartment is close to the general tap that the other tenants use, what if someone was fetching water there as at the time the building collapsed or is it the way the kids play around there?

House good morning, who has used Faforon to cure fibroid or does it work the way people are shouting is working? I am asking cos I was told by a friend to get it cos I have fibroid.
ReplyDeleteI don’t want to waste money buying it and at the end nothing of such is happening. I am seeing a gynecologist and on medication but she is suggesting I try taking Faforon it will cure it completely. Please who has yet this.
So someone just told me that there's a policy in Rivers State that says that Government schools must accept students into SS1 classes and not turn any of them away for any reason.
ReplyDeleteWhat this means is that if for example, the UBE section of my school churns out 500 students who took and passed Junior WAEC, if 450 of those students come to my school (the senior section) for admission, they MUST all be admitted.
What this implies is that for my school that currently has only 2 classrooms for SS1 (each of which is supposed to be a 50-student capacity), 400 students should mean 200 students in each class!
Last term, we had about 350 students in SS1 and it was cràzy! Some children were standing or sitting on the floor at some point.
We have supervisors from all levels who visit school, so I refuse to believe that the Rivers State Government is unaware of situations like this. I'm also very sure that my school is not the only one dealing with an overcrowding problem.
We barely have enough desks for even a 100 students per class, so you have atleast 4 students sharing a desk that should ideally take 2 students, and if necessary, shouldn't take more than 3 students!
In addition to the list that comes from the ministry, there are schools who also take in 'outsiders', thereby compounding the problem!
What can be done???
1. BUILD MORE CLASSROOMS!!!
2. EFFECTIVELY EQUIP EACH CLASSROOM!
3. RENOVATE OLD CLASSROOMS!
4. EMPLOY MORE TEACHERS!
5. BUILD MORE STAFFROOMS!
6. REGULATE THE NUMBER OF ADMISSIONS FOR EACH SCHOOL, DEPENDING ON INDIVIDUAL SIZES AND CAPACITIES! MONITOR THEM TOO!
It's unfair what we put these kids through!
At least 90% of those who are directly involved or in charge of these schools DO NOT SEND their kids to State Schools!
Why put other children through situations that we KNOW we will never expose our own children too????!!
In all my years of teaching, I've never seen a school whose Principal had children attending any State School. Always very good Private Schools!
Revamp the Education Sector please!!!
These children deserve better!!!!
