DeleteThere's a video online, where Kumuyi said that some ladies may have decided not to attend church services again because of how ushers send them back home just because they aren't covering their hair.
He quoted 1Cor 11v5 of the Holy Bible, which is where their church doctrine was picked from. That chapter talks about the covering of the head for the female gender, the man explained that women should have their heads covered while praying or prophesying yes, that means the already established doctrine is still there. See the other things he said bellow
“Somebody is coming to our church for the first time. And she happens to be a lady not covering her head. We ask the person to cover her head before coming in.
We don’t know whether the person does not even know God. We confront her out there before she even enters the church. We don’t know if she is born again or not. We don't know whether she does not know how to pray or prophesy and we say stay there by the door. We delay her there and we say you must cover your head. Every woman that prays or prophesies with her head uncovered dishonors her head.
And there are people who will not even allow those ladies to get saved, for those ladies to understand the word of God and those ladies do not know how to pray, they are not prophesying. But we impose rules on her that she must have this ''scarf'' now.
If I were the person, I would wonder what kind of church is this? If they treat me like a primary school girl, that will be my last time coming to the church.
There are some women who are not attractive to their husbands. Some believe since they are married they are no longer obligated to look good before their husband. There are single sisters that are not presentable.
Because of persistent covering there will be heat in the hair and it will emit odour,
women who practice such put themselves in bondage because they never read the word.
They just believe since they are covering their head, they are okay.
If I don’t tell you maybe nobody will tell you. There are some wives who dress shabbily and are no longer attractive to the man. There are some single sisters that are not presentable. Anybody who is looking for the will of God may not be attracted to them.
The Bible says every woman that pray or prophesies. The reason why you are covering is either you are praying or prophesying "
I don't see any where this man changed the already made doctrine here. He still quoted it there that the already established doctrine as quoted from still stands. He is not a difficult person for the years I started listening to his messages on radio. When I first listened to his message I couldn't believe someone like him could sound so simple because from the countenance of the members of his church I see around I already see a picture of their general overseer as a strict and wicked person who forces repentance on people , but it is not so
Most of the law enforcers of this men of God over do things. Members hardly take good car of their body because pastor said you should not love the things of the world. You see most of them looking pale and dirty. Pastor never said you shouldn't bath and keep your environment neat... Maybe it's comprehension that is their problem.

ReplyDeleteThis morning as early as 6am, I was already at the church for morning Mass. This is the second time I will be in church since COVID broke out. So bad!
ReplyDeleteAs a Catholic, this isn't something to be proud of let alone to say. I'm glad I was in His presence this morning. There's this emptiness in which only God Himself can fill in our life.

This Pastor Kumuyi is a simple man, it's his followers that are overdoing things. I started listening to his messages on 'vision africa radio' in 2014, since then I discovered that the man is simple. I used to think that his teachings and preachings would be filled with so much hatred for sinners and so much strictness for his members until I started listening to his messages. The man is very simple but his members do more than what they are commanded to do

So yesterday I couldn't afford to get one of my daughters need, it was urgent and I couldn't afford it,it made me so emotional, like I almost shed a tear, well we went home and I started promising her that even if it takes everything in me,I'll make sure I give her the good life, aunty was looking at me,shes 1,she cant speak yet but I'm sure she understood. The love I have for this girl,no body yet can best it. Sometimes I wonder if a human being like me can love another this much,talk more Gods love towards us,may God help me keep to my word coz I'd rather go through a fiery furnace than see my daughter lack basic necessities/comforts.
