ReplyDeleteI got out yesternight to just check around, there was no light all through the day. Turns out that my tenant in the shop and her apprentices left the iron on. I called her to come switch it off. It dawned on me the severity of what could have happened. To think that a neighbour had a dream that my house got burnt and the smoke dealt with my enemy.
Last Saturday, a woman's house burnt cos she left her kids locked wit a candle and went to gist for hours, a habit the entire neighborhood was always complaining about but she no send anybody. Kids are in hospital doing fine, all their properties burnt and the landlord is running about looking for money for repairs.
Abeg, make una thank God for me. Hallelujah.

My husband just lost his job and its putting a lot of pressure on us.
We did a long term investment and a short term investment that unfortunately fell through. We basically used our savings to do the two investments waiting for the next salary and then this happened.
My business isnt really going well and we are pregnant.

DeleteThat market gist, the mallam that sells fresh catfish to me, whenever he is about cutting the fish, he will say 'na you dey kill this fish'. Meaning I am the one killing the fish. First time I thought it was a joke, second and then third. I told a friend about it and he was like it's a joke. When I went another day and he started with that rubbish talk, I threw it back to him. Told him he is the one killing and cutting the fish. He threw it back, I threw it back. It was like we were playing table tennis 🎾 with our mouths. When he saw that I wasn't ready to stop, he told me to go and that he wasn't selling again even as he already killed the fish by hitting the head. I left and never went back there.

DeleteSo I have been out of job for a while now,so last week a I saw a job vacancy for a school secretary and I went with my CV and application letter .I got there by eleven and was told to go to the headquarters.Meanwhile from my house to the headquarters is 600 for t_fare.I don't live in Lagos so #600 for t-fare is a big deal here.I got there and was told to wait for the proprietor.I waited from 12-4pm before I was attended to. After the interview both oral and written,I was told to come the next day by 10am for my employment letter.I got there by 10am and waited till 6pm before I was attended to. I finally left by 7pm after another round of interview.I was then told to come by 8am the third day.Meanwhile I was sick and on medication.I got there the third day and waited till 4pm before the proprietor asked to see me only to tell me to go and rewrite the written interview of the first day before giving me the employment letter.Meanwhile he asked wat was wrong and I told him I wasn't feeling well but still insisted I write the interview again.At this point I was already tired, frustrated and weak.I just carried my bag and went home.I cried so much because I was really hoping that my job hunt was over after a long while.Sorry for the typos blog fam,I just needed to get this off my chest.Pls I need ur prayers bcos I really need a job.
